Abstract

Waste observation training at SMA Negeri 7 Mataram aims to improve students' environmental awareness and skills in waste management through a participatory approach. This activity was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation, which actively involved students in observing and analyzing data related to waste in the school environment. The findings showed that plastic (45%) and organic (35%) waste dominated, reflecting the pattern of single-use plastic consumption. This training succeeded in improving students' analytical skills in recognizing types and priorities of waste management and instilling awareness to sort waste based on its characteristics. The obstacles found such as limited time and student experience indicate the need to develop sustainable programs that include composting and plastic recycling. It also emphasizes the importance of providing more intensive training and long-term support. This training provides a foundation for similar programs in the future to build a culture of environmental care among the younger generation.

Abstract

Climate change is a critical global issue with complex and far-reaching impacts that extend beyond the environment to include social, economic, and health dimensions. Addressing these challenges requires future professionals, such as forestry students, to develop strong analytical thinking skills, particularly in identifying and formulating environmental problems. Despite the growing recognition of climate change, limited research exists on forestry students’ understanding and analytical response to this issue, especially within specific regional contexts such as West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Indonesia—a region particularly vulnerable to climate-related effects. This study aims to examine the level of awareness among forestry students regarding climate change issues in NTB and to evaluate their problem-identification and problem-formulation skills based on the phenomenon of global warming in the area. The novelty of this research lies in its regional focus, as NTB is seldom featured in climate literacy studies despite its unique climatic challenges. Using a descriptive quantitative method, data were collected from 26 forestry students enrolled in a Basic Chemistry course through an essay-based test administered in October. The variables observed were environmental awareness, problem-formulating ability, and problem-identifying ability. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and presented in tables and graphs. Results showed low student performance across all variables, with mean scores of 44.6 (awareness), 50.96 (problem formulation), and 40.76 (problem identification). These findings underscore the urgent need for strategic, problem-based educational approaches to improve students’ climate awareness and analytical competencies, ultimately preparing them to effectively contribute to sustainable environmental solutions in their future professional roles.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of employee work culture strategies through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the recruitment process in Indonesian manufacturing companies. The use of AI in the recruitment process is seen as an essential innovation to improve efficiency, objectivity, and speed of employee selection. The data for this study was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation in manufacturing companies from October to December 2024, utilising a qualitative approach. The study's findings indicate that AI has the capacity to expedite the selection process, enhance the precision of candidate selection, and positively influence the work culture of new employees by fostering increased discipline and motivation. However, there are challenges in the form of reduced social interaction that affect the cultural adaptation process. The main supporting factors are technological readiness and HR training, while employee resistance and limited data are obstacles that need to be managed strategically. The integration of AI with a humanistic work culture development strategy is recommended in this study to ensure the effective and sustainable execution of digital transformation. These findings contribute to the development of human resource management in the industrial era 4.0, especially in the context of manufacturing companies in Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of reward system implementation on employee productivity at Toko Atiq Homeklik Grosir. This store operates in the retail sector and faces challenges maintaining employee productivity amidst tight competition. The reward system, which includes cash incentives, monthly bonuses, and non-material awards such as recognition of the best employees, is implemented by management to improve employee motivation and performance. The approach used in this study is qualitative, with data collection methods through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that although the reward system implemented is effective in several aspects, there is a discrepancy in the application of rewards to individual performance achievements, which impacts the dissatisfaction of some employees. This study concludes that to improve employee productivity, Toko Atiq Homeklik Grosir needs to evaluate and improve the reward system, ensure consistency and fairness in the application of rewards, and align rewards with employee performance goals and achievements. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of HR management, especially in the retail sector, and be a reference for other stores or small businesses that want to increase productivity through an effective reward system.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to support the development of menu innovation strategies and flagship product enhancement for culinary MSMEs in Serang City. The program focused on recipe innovation training, packaging improvements, and strengthening digital marketing. Five culinary MSMEs actively participated in this month-long activity conducted in January 2025. The methods included preliminary observation, direct training, and evaluation of implementation outcomes. Results showed that the training improved MSME actors’ creativity in producing new menu variations and enhancing product packaging. Furthermore, strengthening digital marketing significantly contributed to improving competitiveness and sales. Based on evaluations, all participating MSMEs showed progress in innovation, branding, and market reach. This program demonstrates that an integrated approach through direct training is highly effective in enhancing the capacity of culinary MSME entrepreneurs.
