Abstract

Geometry is one of the fundamental topics in mathematics, playing a crucial role in understanding shapes, sizes, positions, and spatial relationships between objects. Mastery of this concept is essential; however, in practice, many students still struggle to grasp geometry material. This issue is also evident at SMA Negeri 1 Pujut, where several students demonstrate a low level of understanding of geometric concepts. In response to this problem, the aim of the research is a community service activity was carried out in the form of tutoring sessions focused on improving students' understanding of geometry. This activity employed a visualization approach through function graph sketches to help students better comprehend the interconnections between concepts in a more concrete way. Based on the evaluation results, data showed that 86.67% of students exhibited improved learning outcomes after participating in the activity. This achievement indicates that the instructional method used by the facilitators was quite effective and well-received by the majority of participants.

Abstract

Mastery of mathematical problem-solving skills based on logical reasoning is an important aspect in supporting students’ success in facing the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK). However, many students still encounter difficulties in understanding concepts and effectively solving UTBK-type questions. To address this issue, a community service program was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Pujut with the aim of enhancing participants’ mathematical reasoning capacity. The activity began with an introduction to the Mathematics study program, followed by training sessions on strengthening concept mastery through logical reasoning and practice in solving UTBK questions, delivered by lecturers and students. The effectiveness of the training was evaluated through a comparison of participants’ pre-test and post-test results. This activity was attended by 30 students as training participants. The evaluation showed a significant improvement in post-test scores, with 83.33% of participants experiencing an increase in their scores, and the majority achieving above 60 in the post-test. These findings indicate that the applied training method was effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics and their readiness to face the UTBK.

Abstract

AbstractFor any finite group, the non-coprime graph of the group is a graph with vertices consisting of all non-identity elements of the group. Two different vertices are considered adjacent if their orders are not coprime, meaning their greatest common divisor (gcd) is not equal to one. Misuki provides the structure of the non-coprime graph for the dihedral group when the order is a prime power. We establish a more general property for cases where the order of the group is a regular composite number, discovering that the structure of the non-coprime graph for a dihedral group can be partitioned into some number of complete subgraphs. Keywords: dihedral group; disjoint subgraph; non-coprime graph. 2020MSC: 05C25, 05C69, 20D60.

Abstract

Economic inequality remains a major challenge in achieving social welfare and distributive justice in Indonesia. According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics in 2025, the Gini ratio of 0.375 indicates that income distribution among social groups has not yet been optimal. This condition highlights the need for an empowerment model that is not only economically oriented but also grounded in the values of social justice. This community service program aims to analyze the role of university students as agents of change through the implementation of a low-cost market program in supporting the concept of equitable economics. The program was carried out using a participatory approach involving the community and local entrepreneurs in distributing subsidized basic needs. The results show that the low-cost market contributed to improving the welfare of low-income communities while fostering students’ critical awareness of social justice and collaboration. This activity underscores the importance of integrating Islamic values into the practice of equitable economics based on community participation.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Professional Community program organized by BMKA Masjid Salman ITB in shaping alumni cadres’ professional readiness and character to face post-campus challenges. The scope of the research includes personal transformation, skills development, satisfaction with the mentoring system, and the sustainability of participants’ social contributions. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, using semi-structured interviews with seven purposively selected informants actively involved in the program. The findings show that the program has had a positive impact on participants by transforming their perspective on profession as a form of service, enhancing technical and leadership skills, and fostering a mentoring ecosystem that encourages long-term relationships between generations of cadres. However, technical and accessibility challenges remain, especially regarding the hybrid format and limited openness to non-internal participants. Overall, the program is considered effective in shaping resilient and value-driven young professionals who contribute meaningfully to society, and it serves as a relevant model for value-based professional development in university settings.KEYWORDS: Professional Community, Youth Empowerment, Campus Mosque

Abstract

This study aims to examine social and spiritual values in the poems of Iyut Fitra through the sociological approach to literature. Using a descriptive qualitative method and content analysis, fifteen poems were analyzed based on thematic relevance and symbolic strength. The findings reveal four main patterns: social patriotic, narrative social, realist social critique, and reflective religious. These patterns represent the poet’s ideological journey from collective social struggle to profound spiritual reflection. The results indicate that Iyut Fitra’s poetry functions not only as an aesthetic expression but also as a medium for social, moral, and spiritual reflection, emphasizing the poet’s moral responsibility toward humanity. Thus, his works serve as both a mirror of social reality and a vehicle for moral and spiritual awareness.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comparative analysis of Justice Theory and Stakeholder Theory in assessing Islamic Sharia based social responsibility, particularly in the practices of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Islamic Social Reporting (ISR). The analysis is grounded in the conceptual divergence between a normative approach rooted in Islamic values of justice and an operational approach that prioritizes stakeholder interests. A qualitative method is employed through a comprehensive literature review of official Islamic banking reports, scholarly publications, and relevant prior studies. The findings indicate that Justice Theory emphasizes proportional distribution of benefits, vertical accountability to God, and the pursuit of maslahah as the fundamental objectives of Sharia-based economic activities, whereas Stakeholder Theory proves more adaptive in explaining corporate–stakeholder dynamics within modern business environments. However, the dominance of Stakeholder Theory without reinforcement of justice-based values risks reducing Islamic CSR to a mere instrument of legitimacy. Therefore, a synthesis of both theories is essential to construct a Sharia social responsibility framework that is equitable, operationally applicable, and sustainable.

Abstract

The Science materials on astronomy, particularly solar eclipses, are often perceived as abstract by junior high school students because the objects of study cannot be directly presented in the classroom. The limitations of two-dimensional (2D) media lead to low conceptual understanding and scientific literacy. This study aims to develop a solar eclipse diorama as an economical and interactive alternative for science learning media. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The research was conducted up to the Develop stage, limited to product functionality testing without extensive field trials. The research subjects involved an analysis of the characteristics of junior high school students in the transition from concrete to formal operational stages. The results showed that the diorama developed using styrofoam, wire, and LED lights effectively visualized the relative positions of the Earth, Moon, and Sun and the formation of umbra and penumbra shadows. The diorama functions well in simulating earth rotation, the lunar revolution, and the eclipse phenomena. This study concludes that the solar eclipse diorama is suitable for use as a practical and efficient alternative learning medium, especially for schools with limited laboratory facilities, to increase students' interest and conceptual understanding.
