Abstract

This study presents an overview of Ki Hajar Dewantara's constructivism learning theory as interpreted through the system that gave rise to Tut Wuri Handayani. The system places students as the center of the learning process, while the role of the teacher is that of a guide who provides flexibility for children to develop their potential, creativity, talents, and interests according to their nature. Students are not entirely free to seek information and knowledge. Still, guidance from teachers and parents dramatically aids in identifying the nature and form of knowledge children require based on their developmental stage. This aligns with the constructivism learning theory, which suggests that teachers serve as facilitators, motivators, and communicators for their students. This study employs a qualitative approach, analyzing data from literature through an interpretive process to comprehend and provide context for the gathered qualitative data. This study will reveal how Ki Hajar Dewantara's constructivism learning theory compares to other systems. What is the relevance of Ki Hajar Dewantara's constructivism learning theory in the Merdeka Curriculum? The study's results lead to the following conclusions: First, the constructivism learning theory in Ki Hajar Dewantara's system emphasizes the importance of students' Independence in their thinking, the role of teachers as agents of change, the role of teachers as motivators, facilitators, and communicators for students, and the importance of Tut Wuri Handayani. Second, Tut Wuri Handayani illustrates Ki Hajar Dewantara's views on the Merdeka Curriculum through the roles of teachers and students in schools.

Abstract

As the essence of education, the curriculum will persistently undergo changes and renewal to align with societal needs and the ever-expanding global challenges. The integration of STEM and the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project is essential in the context of education in Indonesia. By utilizing STEM, educators can contextually and relevantly teach Pancasila values, enabling students to comprehend scientific and technological concepts and incorporate these noble values into their daily lives. However, STEM learning in schools often faces challenges, such as limited resources, less innovative methods, and students' difficulties understanding abstract concepts. Technological advances have brought significant changes in various aspects of life in recent years. Artificial intelligence extends beyond computer science and informatics, permeating multiple disciplines. Educators can utilize the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) in the education sector as a tool to enhance learning. AI is designed to process cognitive modeling of human thinking related to how a machine can record information, imitate, and modify automatically. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the integration of AI in P5 with STEM. We conducted this research at SMP Negeri 1 Purwosari using a qualitative approach. The research results demonstrate the use of AI in the integrated STEM P5 activities, beginning with activity planning, implementation, and evaluation. AI guides activity planning, integrates directly into technology, and functions as an automated assessment tool, delivering prompt and precise feedback. Therefore, overall, AI has outstanding potential to help improve the effectiveness of the learning process and introduce students to technology that will play an essential role in their future.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has brought significant changes in various areas of life, including the world of education. AI is a rapidly developing technology with enormous potential to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of resource management. Library management, which plays a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning activities in schools, employs AI in education. However, the increasing challenges in managing collections, the demand for rapid and accurate services, and the need for effective data management have increased the need for innovation in library management. This study aimed to explore the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in library management at SDN Piyaman 2 Wonosari, emphasizing enhancing operational efficiency, accessibility, and service quality. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, collecting data through interviews, observations, and questionnaires from students, teachers, and library staff. The researchers will then process, analyze, and discuss the collected data to conclude. The study results indicate that using artificial intelligence (AI) can improve library operational efficiency by reducing borrowing time, returning each book, and searching from five minutes to one minute. In addition, AI also increases user satisfaction, with an average increase from 60% to 85%. Despite the technical challenges and user adjustments, the results of this study indicate that AI has enormous potential to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of school libraries. Other schools can use this study as a model to implement AI technology in library management, making it more modern and responsive to user needs.

Abstract

In the millennial era, characterized by constant change and progress, schools that thrive possess specific qualities and characteristics. Education not only functions as a place to transfer knowledge but also as a place to develop students' skills, character, and critical thinking abilities. In this increasingly complex world, educational institutions must adapt curricula and teaching methods that are relevant and able to meet students' diverse needs. Schools that innovate and provide captivating learning experiences will be better able to attract the attention of students and parents. In addition, educational institutions must realize the importance of building an identity and characteristics that distinguish them from other schools. This includes developing superior programs, adequate facilities, and a positive and supportive learning environment. This study investigates the role of principal leadership in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum while integrating artificial intelligence (AI) in a kindergarten/early childhood education environment. Through a qualitative approach, this study explores the experiences of a principal and staff at TK IT Tunas Mulia. Findings indicate that principals play a critical role in fostering a culture of innovation and adaptation to AI, providing the necessary training and resources for teachers to utilize AI tools effectively, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation. However, the study has identified challenges such as limited teacher proficiency in AI and the need for more comprehensive AI-integrated curriculum materials. While principal leadership plays a critical role, the study concludes that further support and professional development are necessary to fully harness the potential of AI in improving early childhood education.

Abstract

Implementing education report cards still faces challenges, such as low data literacy, limited internet access, and lack of intensive training for teachers and principals. Most schools have not utilized education report card data optimally. Many schools do not systematically utilize education report card data in a real action plan. This article aims to determine how using education report cards improves teacher performance and school quality at SDN 2 Purbowangi. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Using education report cards with the right strategy can improve teacher performance and school quality at SDN 2 Purbowangi. Using data in education report cards helps educational units identify problems, set priorities, determine root causes, and design programs relevant to problem indicators systematically and in a structured manner. Success in reading educational report card data into concrete actions gives educational units definite steps to improve school quality. Teacher training programs, workshops, In House Training (IHT) can improve teacher performance. However, this study also shows several obstacles, such as a lack of knowledge in interpreting data, less fundamental root cause data, and many misconceptions between principals and teachers. Schools are expected to form a special team responsible for supporting the use of educational report cards.
