Abstract

Biopharmaceuticals play an important role in maintaining health. One of the areas in East Java as a producer of biopharmaceuticals is Bondowoso Regency. Several sub-districts in Bondowoso Regency are able to produce several types of biopharmaceutical plants and the types most produced in Bondowoso Regency are ginger and turmeric. The large amount of biopharmaceutical production in Bondowoso Regency certainly has several problems, including prices at the farmer level are relatively fluctuating, the obstacles faced by some farmers are that contracts with companies are relatively difficult, production is relatively fluctuating with uneven distribution because it has not been able to be cultivated intensively. This research was conducted in Bondowoso Regency using the LQ, Localization, Specialization, Regional Multiplier, SWOT and QSPM methods. The results of this study are that Bondowoso Regency is a biopharmaceutical base sector, ginger and turmeric commodities are spread across several areas in Bondowoso Regency and do not specialize in one area in Bondowoso Regency, biopharmaceuticals have a multiplier effect on the agricultural subsector. Some of the strategies used are maintaining and improving the quality of ginger and turmeric in order to maintain cooperation with buyers, increasing awareness of the importance of consuming herbal products, getting support from government agencies, utilizing land for the cultivation process.

Abstract

Agropolitan Selingkar Ijen merupakan wilayah sentra pengembangan agribisnis kopi arabika yang terletak dikaki Gunung Ijen. Usahatani kopi arabika ini menjadi potensi unggulan untuk pengembangan berbagai upaya telah dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan produksi dan produktivitas, Pengembangan agribisnis perlu dilakukan mulai dari hulu sampai hilir. Pada sektor hilir, agroindustri olahan kopi arabika masih lemah dari aspek manajemen manajemen produksi, dan manajemen pemasaran. Alternatif strategi mengembangkan agroindustri kopi arabika diperlukan sebagai sumber mata pencaharian utama, sekaligus meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga berpenghasilan rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengusahaan dan keuntungan usahatani kopi arabika, kelayakan usaha dalam agribisnis kopi arabika dan strategi pengembangan agribisnis kopi arabika di Agropolitan Selingkar Ijen. Metode yang dilakukan dengan memilih daerah di wilayah sentra produksi kopi arabika di Agropolitas Selingkar Ijen, Kabupaten Situbondo. Penelitian bersifat deskriptif, jenisnya adalah penelitian gabungan (mixed methods) dan merupakan penelaahan secara empiris tentang fakta di lokasi penelitian yang telah ditetapkan serta menggunakan bukti yang bersifat kuantitatif maupun kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dengan cara data primer dan sekunder, dan cara pengambilan data menggunakan Purposive sampling dan Insedental Sampling dengan observasi serta wawancara. Alat analisis menggunakan analisis usahatani, kelayakan usaha secara finansial, dan FFA (Force Field Analysis).

Abstract

Information technology through social media can reach wider marketing. Internet/digital-based marketing can be a practical solution in marketing products. In the field of marketing management, the creation of a product marketing website for processed coffee is very necessary as a development of coffee product marketing in Lumajang Regency. The methods applied in implementing this activity are socialization, training and structured mentoring. The results of this service are training and mentoring can have a positive impact by creating a website https://sites.google.com/view/gpsemeru to promote and market ground coffee businesses.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu produsen kayu bulat terbesar dunia, namun belum menjadi pengekspor utama kayu olahan. Di Jawa Timur, khususnya Kabupaten Jember, kayu sengon menjadi komoditas kayu utama yang mendorong tumbuhnya industri pengolahan veneer, seperti CV Plywood Indonesia di Kecamatan Kalisat. Industri ini menghadapi permasalahan pengelolaan bahan baku, yaitu kelebihan maupun kekurangan stok kayu sengon yang berdampak pada kelancaran produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis estimasi kebutuhan bahan baku, tingkat pemesanan ekonomis, persediaan pengaman, persediaan maksimum, serta titik pemesanan kembali kayu sengon. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Safety Stock, dan Reorder Point. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa estimasi kebutuhan bahan baku sebesar 2.057 m³ per bulan, dengan pemesanan ekonomis sebanyak 188 m³ sebanyak 11 kali pemesanan per bulan. Safety Stock sebesar 305 m³ dan maksimum persediaan 493 m³ masih berada dalam kapasitas gudang. Nilai Reorder Point sebesar 373 m³ dapat menjadi acuan dalam menentukan waktu pemesanan kembali. Penerapan strategi ini dapat menekan biaya penyimpanan dan menghindari kerugian akibat kelebihan maupun kekurangan stok bahan baku.

Abstract

The banana chip business in Ledokombo Village, Jember Regency, is one of the sources of livelihood for the local community. However, increasingly fierce business competition has led to a decrease in demand and has an impact on declining turnover of MSME actors. Marketing that is still conventional is one of the factors limiting product reach. This community service activity aims to increase the marketing capacity of MSME actors through digital marketing training. The training was carried out for four weeks with stages: problem analysis, provision of branding and digital marketing materials, assistance in making packaging labels, marketplace accounts (Shopee) and social media (Instagram), as well as monitoring and evaluation. The results of the activity show that MSME actors understand the importance of digital marketing strategies, are able to create "The King" product packaging labels, and have Shopee and Instagram accounts that are actively used for online sales. Business actors are also getting used to operating digital application features that support the marketing process. This activity has a positive impact on increasing product attractiveness and expanding consumer reach. Thus, digital marketing training has proven to be effective as an innovative solution in facing MSME marketing challenges, as well as being a model for local economic empowerment that can be replicated in other regions with similar characteristics.

Abstract

Pada pertanian konvensional sebagaimana yang masih dilakukan oleh petani di Madura, pengelolaan lahan menjadi hal yang penting agar mampu menumbuhkan tanaman yang ditanam di atasnya dengan baik, dengan mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan sumberdaya alam (tanah, air, tumbuhan dan hewan), dan manusia (tenaga, pengetahuan dan keterampilan) yang tersedia secara lokal, serta layak secara ekonomis, mantap secara ekologis, adil secara sosial dan sesuai dengan budaya lokal. Penggunaan pupuk kimia yang terus menerus akan mengganggu kadar C-organik tanah, oleh karena itu perlu inovasi pemanfaatan pupuk organik yang bahan dasarnya banyak ditemukan di lokasi setempat untuk mendukung pertanian yang lestari dan berkelanjutan. Sistem usahatani konservasi diharapkan secara teknis dapat dilaksanakan oleh para petani, secara ekonomis menguntungkan, secara sosial dapat diterima masyarakat dan tidak merusak lingkungan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan wawasan petani tentang pengelolaan lahan pertanian. Kegiatan dilakukan di Desa Pakandangan Sangra Kecamatan Bluto Kabupaten Sumenep. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui kaji terap dan penyuluhan. Kesimpulan hasil kegiatan adalah perlu terus dilakukan pendampingan agar petani mampu meningkatkan produksi bawang merah, baik secara kuantitas maupun kualitas melalui pengelolaan lahan yang tepat.

Abstract

The concept of oyster mushroom agribusiness is expected to increase the added value of farmers as business actors. This study aims to review the potential of oyster mushroom agribusiness based on challenges and opportunities. The research was conducted at the Oyster Mushroom Farmers Group (KPJT) Manut, Lumajang Regency. The research data were analyzed by descriptive analysis method, income and value added analysis, and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the oyster mushroom agribusiness concept managed by KPJT Manut, which consisted of 14 people, was able to manage 15,500 baglogs with 12 kinds of processed industrial products. Analysis of the added value of several superior mushroom processed products, namely mushroom meatballs by 45.42%, mushroom sticks by 40.87%, crispy mushrooms by 40.34%, mushroom broth 26.84%, and mushroom ice cream by 14.61%. The main strength factor in the form of collective action is cooperatives, while the main weakness factor is limited creativity and innovation. The main opportunity factor is the need for edutourism for the community, while the main challenge or threat factor is the fluctuation in the selling price of fresh mushrooms.

Abstract

Upaya pemerintah untuk swasembada gula salah satunya ialah menganjurkan petani tebu untuk melakukan sistem budi daya tebu secara intensif, ironisnya sistem budi daya tebu secara intensif yang dilakukan oleh petani tebu terkendala biaya operasional budi daya dan regulasi kebijakan, khususnya Peraturan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Timur Nomor 17 tahun 2012 tentang Peningkatan Rendemen dan Hablur Tanaman Tebu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mereviu Peraturan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Timur Nomor 17 tahun 2012. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan Focus Group Discussion (FGD), wawancara dengan responden petani tebu dan pihak manajemen pabrik gula. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan analitik. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa: 1) munculnya potensi konflik sebagai akibat dari ketidaktransparanan Pabrik Gula (PG) terhadap nilai rendemen tebu, 2) permasalahan sistem kemitraan bagi hasil antara petani tebu dengan PG, di mana pihak pemilik modal atau perusahaan sudah semestinya membiayai operasional budi daya tebu, sedangkan pihak petani sebagai pelaksana usaha tani atau pembudidaya yang hanya mempersiapkan lahan dan tenaga kerja; 3) secara umum petani tebu dan Pabrik Gula (PG) belum mengetahui Peraturan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Timur Nomor 17 tahun 2012 dengan alasan tidak ada sosialisasi perihal peraturan daerah tersebut, dan 4) pergeseran atau perubahan sistem agribisnis gula dari monopsoni-monopoli ke arah oligopsoni-oligopoli (lebih liberal), ditinjau dari sudut pandang konten (isi) kebijakan, pada kenyataannya telah menyebabkan tidak tercapainya dan/atau tidak terlaksananya amanat dari peraturan daerah tersebut. Kesimpulan kajian penelitian ini ialah merekomendasikan pergantian atau perubahan atas Peraturan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Timur Nomor 17 tahun 2012 tentang Peningkatan Rendemen dan Hablur Tanaman Tebu.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of coffee products in the international market. Data is collected from coffee product export transaction data from 2011-2021, Indonesia Statistic. Export data were selected based on the Harmony system (HS) code of coffee and its derivatives. The analysis method used is RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) Analysis. The results show that there are 12 categories of coffee products exported to 90 countries divided into 9 regions/zones respectively. Coffee export products with the highest interest are arabica WIB (not roasted and not decaffeinated wet-processed Arabica coffee beans) or Robusta OIB (unroasted, with caffeine) coffee. Then the best markets for coffee products exported by Indonesia are the United States, Japan, Malaysia, Germany, Egypt, Georgia, Australia, United Arab Emirate, and Ecuador. The second-best exported coffee product is roasted coffee, with caffeine, unground that being imported Malaysia, China, and New Zealand.  The two categories contribute 98% of export volume of Indonesia’s exported coffee and 78% frequency. The study confirms that the choice of coffee and its derivative products in importing countries is influenced by purchase timing, frequency, and funds used. In addition, purchasing factors are also influenced by the characteristics of consumers and processed industries in these importing countries

Abstract

The Kalisanen Plantation is one of the unit that is managed by PTPN XII who conducts the business in the fields of agribusiness as well as on the natural recources utilization optimizement. The resource that is optimized by Kalisanen Plantation is namely the use of the remaining company’s assets in the form of plantation land by means of partnership to a partner in the form of cooperation. The objectives of this study are: 1) to find out cooperation pattern between partners and PTPN XII Kalisanen Plantation and partners with the farmers, 2) to find out the income earned by farmers with PTPN XII Kalisanen Plantation in the pattern of partnership that is intertwined, 3) to find out the pattern of developmental strategy cooperated between partner and PTPN XII Kalisanen Plantation. The sampling collection method used quota sampling and expert judgment sampling. The data analysis method used descriptive analysis, revenue analysis, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process. The results showed that: 1) the partnership established by PTPN XII Kalisanen Plantation with partners is called the pattern of business cooperation, while the cooperation between the partners with farmers is called the operational partnership pattern. 2) partners with farmers of one hectare land in a period of one planting is profitable with an income of Rp 9.529.779. 3) priority criterion on partnership development strategy that exists between partner and PTPN XII Kebun Kalisanen is the criteria of land where as the priority alternative is to continue the Kerja Sama Usaha  activities of the land. Keywords: Cooperation Pattern, Revenue, Analytic Hierarchy Process
