Abstract

PT XYZ menghadapi permasalahan penurunan kualitas produk yang disebabkan oleh cacat produksi melebihi batas toleransi optimumnya sebesar 2% per periode selama enam periode berturut-turut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi cacat dan penyebabnya serta memberikan rekomendasi strategi aksi untuk penanggulangan dan pencegahan terjadinya cacat tersebut terulang kembali saat proses produksi kain grey di mesin tenun shuttle tipe RRC dilakukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis yang terintegrasi antara fault tree analysis (FTA) dan failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA). Hasil penelitian menampilkan lima jenis cacat mayor pada produk kain grey yang dominan ditemui dengan persentase kumulatif sebesar 80% yang terdiri dari cacat pickbar,ambrol,sobek,benang terputus dikain dan kain terdapat anyaman yang loncat. Teridentifikasi dua belas akar masalah yang menyebabkan kelima jenis cacat tersebut muncul di hasil produksi mesin tenun shuttle RRC. Akar penyebab masalah yang teridentifikasi kemudian dihitung masing-masing nilai risk priority number (RPN) serta dilakukan klasifikasi berdasarkan tiga kelas yang memiliki intesitas risiko dan potensi penyebab cacat tertinggi meliputi kelas A,B dan C. Dua akar penyebab masalah yang memiliki kumulatif persentae 20% dari kelas A teridentifikasi sebagai penyebab utama cacat yang meliputi : permasalahan sepatu sisir tenun kurang pas dan permasalahan rangkaian let off dan take up motion di mesin tenun yang tidak sesuai. Kedua akar penyebab ini memiliki nilai RPN masing-masing sebesar 648. Rekomendasi startegi aksi sebagai upaya penanggulangan dan pencegahan diberikan pada dua akar penyebab masalah tersebut yang mempunyai persentase penyebab masalah sebesar 20% agar kelima jenis cacat yang memiliki persentase kumulatif dominan sebesar 80% tersebut tidak terjadi kembali.

Abstract

The increasing use of expedition services due to the Covid-19 pandemic has also increased various types of risks in companies. This study discusses solutions to the complexity of supply chain management in the expedition services industry due to pandemic Covid-19. This study aims to analyze the risk of security management systems based on every activity in the supply chain of an expedition company. The method used in this study is the matrix risk assessment to determine the risk ranking by multiplying the possibilities and consequence values. Descriptive analysis approaches and in-depth interviews are needed to identify the types of risks in the supply chain of PT.X. The application of risk assessment consists of five stages: development mapping of supply chains, risk identification, risk assessment, risk response development, and risk response control. The results of this study indicate that three types of extreme risks need to be handled in priorities by providing proposed mitigation, namely bad weather, road accidents, and damaged items. Risk mitigation strategies are carried out to prevent the types of extreme risks in the company.

Abstract

Setiap orang memiliki kebutuhan gizi yang berbeda–beda, pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi tersebut tidak hanya didapatkan dari makanan yang mereka konsumsi tetapi juga melalui minuman. Salah satu minuman sehat yang beredar di pasaran adalah susu. Menurut data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) (2020), tingkat konsumsi susu masyarakat di Indonesia selama tahun 2020 berkisar 16,27 kg per kapita/tahun, jumlah ini lebih rendah dibandingkan Malaysia yang memiliki tingkat konsumsi susu 50 kg per kapita/tahun dan Vietnam sebesar 20 kg per kapita/tahun. Jumlah konsumsi tersebut belum memenuhi kebutuhan susu di Indonesia yaitu sebesar 4,3 juta ton per tahun dengan 22,7% kebutuhan susu dipenuhi dari perternakan dan pabrik lokal, sementara sisanya melalui impor (Badan Pusat Statistik, 2020). Menurut data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Jawa Barat pada tahun 2016 tercatat 294.318.562-liter susu yang diproduksi secara total dari 27 Kabupaten/Kota yang ada di Jawa Barat. Kabupaten/Kota yang memiliki angka produksi susu tertinggi yaitu Kabupaten Bandung Barat dengan jumlah produksi sebesar 116.140.337 liter. Jumlah tersebut jauh berbeda dengan Kabupaten Bandung yang hanya menghasilkan sebanyak 63.226.050-liter dan berada pada posisi kedua penghasil susu terbanyak di wilayah Jawa Barat. Salah satu pelaku unit binaan peternakan sapi perah berada di Kecamatan Rancabali, Desa Alamendah, Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat., Survei yang dilakukan dengan diskusi dan pertukaran gagasan (brainstorming) dengan peternak binaan dari Desa Wisata Alamendah sebagai mitra secara langsung untuk dapat mengetahui permasalahan yang perlu ditangani agar menghasilkan solusi teknologi yang tepat guna dalam meningkatkan kualitas produk susu sapi perah kelompok peternak sapi perah yang berada langsung dibawah binaan Desa Wisata Alamendah. Permasalahan yang perlu ditangani yaitu peningkatan kualitas susu sapi perah, karena mitra masih menerapkan pemerasan susu sapi perah dengan manual atau masih banyaknya sentuhan tangan dalam hal pemerasan susu sapi, sehingga masih ada susu sapi perah yang belum memenuhi persyaratan kriteria kualitas susu sapi murni. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi pada mitra, maka solusi yang dapat ditawarkan adalah pembuatan dan implementasi rekayasa teknologi mesin pemerahan susu sapi yang tidak hanya mampu membantu proses pemerahan, tetapi juga dapat membantu proses pasteurisasi sehingga membantu mengurangi jumlah mikroba yang ada pada susu sapi. Hasil dari proses pemerahan, pasteurisasi dan peninginan yang dilakukan pada mesin ini adalah susu sapi berkualitas yang mampu bertahan hingga enam hari. Dari hasil yang didapat tersebut diharapkan pembuatan mesin ini dapat mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi di mitra, meningkatkan kualitas susu sapi perah, dan meningkatkan produktivitas susu sapi perah yang ada pada mitra.

Abstract

Singkong merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman holtikultura yang dikonsumsi umbinya, mengandung sumber karbohidrat yang cukup digemari sebagai pengganti nasi, jenis umbi-umbian ini mudah diolah menjadi menu pembuka, utama, maupun penutup yang tentu saja lezat dan berbagai kandungan kebaikan/manfaat dari singkong. Tingginya karbohidrat menyebabkan singkong dikenal sebagai bahan pangan yang dapat mensubtitusi bahan pangan karbohidrat lain yang berasal dari beras, jagung, dan gandum. Selain itu, permintaan pasar terhadap komoditas singkong semakin meningkat sejalan dengan bertambahnya jumlah penduduk dan preferensi masyarakat terhadap singkong. Berbagai macam produk yang memanfaatkan bahan baku singkong, salah satunya adalah produk kicimpring. Masalah muncul saat adonan kicimpring pada proses penipisan, pengukusan, dan pemotongan menjadi bentuk segi tiga atau bentuk lainnya, masih tergolong lambat karena proses tersebut masih secara konvensional yaitu menggunakan penggilingan manual menggunakan roll kayu, pengukusan dengan uap air dan pemotongan menggunakan gunting secara manual. Keadaan tersebut muncul ide untuk membuat mesin penggilingan, pengukusan dan pemotongan menjadi 1 mesin (3 in 1), hasil implementasi terhadap mesin cetak kicimpring mini 3 in 1, sebagai berikut : Motor penggerak 0,5 pk setara dengan 367,75 watt, hemat energi; Waktu proses 40 detik per 1 kg adonan kicimpring; Material yang berhubungan dengan singkong menggunakan stainless steel 304 food grade; Berbasis Teknologi Tepat Guna; Memanfaatkan teknologi IoT; Dimensi (100 x 60 x 60) cm; Berat 120 kg. Proses pengoperasian dan perawatannya sangat mudah, semua komponen/suku cadang mudah didapat, cetakan bentuk kicimpring dapat diganti dengan bentuk yang sesuai dengan keiinginan konsumen. Sehingga mesin cetak kicimpring mini 3 in 1 dapat dimanfaatkan di Industri Kecil dan Menengah (IKM) yang memanfaatkan singkong sebagai bahan bakunya, secara efisien, efektif dan produktif.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the furniture manufacturing, one of which is sofa. PT. XYZ as a large company has a vision towards waste elimination and the application of lean tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency in its supply chain.  This vision is difficult to realise due to the lack of socialization, inavailability of company skills/expertise, and the absence of guidance for employees in implementing the lean SCM concept. The purpose of this study is to identify the formulation of stages in change management using the Change Acceleration Process (CAP) model. The spaghetti diagram approach is carried out to measure the distance between materials/materials and workers and an analysis is carried out to improve the layout of the work station to reduce the movement distance. Improvements to the layout of the work station using the Activity Relationship Chart and continued with the Activity Relationship Diagram. From the results of the improvement in the layout of the work station, the initial displacement distance of 174m was shortened to be only 116.4m.Keywords - Lean SCM, Change Acceleration Process, Spaghetti Diagram, Activity Relationship Chart, Activity Relationship Diagram

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk analisis perancangan kebijakan persediaan material polysulfide sealant di PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) menggunakan metode Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM). Masalah utama yang dihadapi perusahaan adalah ketidaksesuaian antara target dan stok aktual yang menyebabkan peningkatan biaya penyimpanan dan risiko kadaluwarsa material. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kebijakan persediaan, termasuk material kadaluwarsa, komunikasi antar divisi, sistem pemantau persediaan, tingkat persediaan dan pola pemesanan, serta permintaan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan pegawai divisi material planner. Hasil analisis ISM menunjukkan struktur hubungan antar faktor yang membantu dalam perancangan kebijakan persediaan yang lebih efisien. Implementasi ISM diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi manajemen persediaan dan mengurangi biaya operasional.

Abstract

The Mentawai Islands Regency Regional General Hospital faces a significant challenge with an 83% overstock of Medical Consumables, leading to increased inventory costs and potential damage and expiration of items. This exceeds the 1% pharmaceutical drug storage standards the Ministry of Health set. This study aims to optimize demand forecasting and minimize total inventory costs through a two-stage process. Firstly, demand forecasting is conducted using Artificial Neural Network (ANN), predicting a future demand of 10,036 units of Medical Consumables. Subsequently, the optimal order quantity and reorder points are calculated using the continuous review (r, Q) approach. The results reveal the optimal order quantities and reorder points for four types of Medical Consumables. This research introduces a novel approach by employing ANN for demand forecasting, then calculating optimal order quantities and reorder points using continuous review (r, Q). The cost components considered in the inventory cost calculation include purchasing cost, holding cost, shortage cost, order cost, outdating cost, and inspection cost. The designed forecasting models aim to enhance inventory management efficiency, optimize cost control, and improve patient services. The limitation of this research is that it only used five types of consumable medical materials to carry out this research due to limited data access. It is hoped that future research can use other types of drugs as well as a periodic review and forecasting approach using GA.

Abstract

The tourism industry has an important role in a region's economic growth and development. However, the success of the tourism industry is highly dependent on the strategic policies adopted to increase optimal performance. One way to increase the optimal performance of the tourism industry is to maximize support system facilities. Therefore, this study aims to optimize the performance of the tourism industry by selecting the right strategy based on the support system facilities variable. Support system facilities include telecommunication, power sources, transportation, waste management, location, clean water sources, supporting industries, spatial, hospitality, safety, and security. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method selects strategies based on support system facilities. Data is collected through a survey of tourism industry experts and related stakeholders. The results of this study indicate that indicators with high-ranking weights are telecommunication, spatial, and waste management, respectively. Each indicator is calculated for each sub-indicator to find out more in detail about producing the relative priority of the strategy. The analysis shows the importance of each factor in influencing the tourism industry's performance to assist decision-makers in planning and implementing effective strategies. Alternative strategies are prepared based on calculating the weighting of the criteria and sub-criteria. By considering support system facilities as an important factor, strategic decisions can be taken based on clear and measurable preferences.

Abstract

Saba Budaya Baduy serves as a significant tourist destination contributing to the local economy of the Baduy community. However, the substantial surge in tourist arrivals poses potential long-term challenges for the local Baduy community. The issues arising from tourism activities encompass cultural shifts, environmental changes, and impacts on the local economy. This research aims to propose a sustainable visitor limitation model to ensure that elements linked to the interests of tourism business activities remain unaffected by visitor restrictions. Quantitative methods apply the Tourism Carrying Capacity (TCC) approach to determine visitor benchmarks and System Dynamics (SD) for simulating visitor limitations over ten year. Model 3, proposed as a policy, yields sustainable visitor limitation policies. The proposed measures include phased visitor limitations annually, price adjustments, agreements between managers and tour operators, and feedback agreements between managers and local businesses. Simulation results from Model 3 project that the TCC-defined visitor limitation value will be achieved by the 10th year (2030), totaling 16,406 visitors annually, compared to an Effective Carrying Capacity (ECC) of 15,612 visitors annually. These measures enhance the local socio-economic resilience through the assurance of annual income stability.

Abstract

The medical device industry company experienced the problem of prolonged accumulation of finished goods in the warehouse, causing one of the safety box items to be defective and damaged. Therefore, this study aims to plan demand forecasting and design inventory policies that consider repair items caused during the buildup of finished goods in the warehouse to minimize total inventory costs using ANN and Continuous Review (s,Q) methods. Demand forecasting is carried out for the next 20 months, from May 2023 to December 2024, using the ANN model with a total forecasting of 17936 units of inner items and 3370 units of outer items. After that, the inventory policy calculation uses the continuous review (s,Q) method. The calculation results show a decrease in the total inventory cost on inner items by 83% and outer items by 79%. After demand forecasting, there was also a decrease in the total initial inventory cost of inner items by 81% and outer items by 80%. This research develops an inventory optimization model that considers repair items due to the accumulation of goods in the warehouse by integrating holding cost, ordering cost, and repair cost variables to develop inventory policies to be more effective and efficient and to utilize damaged products for repair and resale. The limitation of this research is that it only gets demand forecasting results for the next 20 months because the company only started operating in September 2021 and limited data access. It is hoped that future researchers can plan and design an inventory policy strategy with demand forecasting for the next 10 years, focusing on repair items caused by the accumulation of finished goods in the warehouse.
