Abstract

Covid-19 has had a considerable impact on learning, so to keep improving student learning outcomes, lecturers are required to be more creative in using technology applications such as quizizz. This study aims to see the effectiveness of quizizz in improving student learning outcomes during the implementation of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is quasi-experimental, involving two sample classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Sorting the two sample classes using random sampling technique. The data collection instrument used multiple choice tests. The data analysis technique used the t test by first doing the prerequisite tests, namely normality and homogeneity tests. The results of data analysis show that there are significant differences in learning outcomes between students who study using Quizizz and study conventionally. Quizizz has contributed significantly to student learning outcomes, because quizizz is a learning application that is packaged in an attractive manner, has a good graphic design and is automated. Online learning should integrate one of the quizizz applications so that it can motivate students to learn and can directly improve student learning outcomes. The creativity of the teacher in operating the quizizz also influences the course of the learning process.

Abstract

Changes in learning patterns that are taking place rapidly due to Covid-19 have made every educational institution able to quickly adapt, especially in the use of learning technology. Teacher readiness in optimizing the use of technology to support the learning process is a new problem that arises when the concept of digital learning begins to be echoed. The use of technology can help teachers visualize material (such as in science learning Physics) and assist teachers in conducting evaluation activities in a practical and efficient manner. The limitations of teachers, especially in several educational institutions in South Tangerang to utilize technology in learning, are the background of the importance of training activities carried out. The results obtained after implementation refer to the evaluation of tasks and practices observed during the training process, indicating that there was an increase in teacher skills in utilizing technology to support the learning process. The teachers who have attended the training have been able to integrate the use of virtual laboratory applications and evaluate student learning outcomes using the quizizz application. The training on the use of learning technology is one of the forms of support from the Physics Education Study Program of FKIP UT to assist and assist teachers in carrying out technology-based learning activities, especially in Physics Science learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

At the junior high school level, it is expected that learning Physics will provide students with knowledge and skills so that they can develop competency and hone science skills. Heat material is one of the junior high school physics materials which is dominated by concepts and principles so that it is considered difficult by students. The use of effective media can be one of the solution, namely the use of videos and animations in learning Physics. The type of this research is Research and Development which aims to develop videos and animations in learning physics of heat material. The effectiveness in using of videos and animations was carried out in a limited field test, namely in class VII3 SMP N 1 Pariaman even semester 2019/2020 using before and after experiments. The data collection instrument for the effectiveness test was in the form of tests of students' cognitive learning outcomes before and after using videos and animations. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using a correlated t-test. Based on the results of the analysis, the value of tcount = 6.91 and ttable = 2.04 (tcount > ttable). This shows that there is a significant difference between learning outcomes before using videos and animations in learning Physics and learning outcomes after using videos and animations in learning Physics. Thus, it can be said that videos and animations in physics learning are effective heat materials used in physics learning in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman.

Abstract

This research and development aim to 1) determine the feasibility of developing mathematics learning media using traditional game-based mathematical tools and 2) determine the attractiveness of students' responses to the development of mathematics learning media using Traditional game-based mathematical tools. This research was carried out using the Research and Development (R and D) method using the modified Borg and Gall development procedure, and data collection techniques using a validation questionnaire sheet. The instrument used was a validation questionnaire sheet to determine the feasibility of the module and a questionnaire for student responses to find out the interest. Data analysis techniques used in research and development are quantitative descriptive to process data in the form of scores from the validator's assessment and student response, while qualitative descriptive to describe the data in the form of commentary suggestions for improvement from the validator. Based on the results of the validation of the development of mathematics learning media using the Traditional game-based mathematical tools, an average score was obtained; (1) the feasibility of developing mathematics learning media using traditional game-based mathematical tools results of the validation of material experts obtained an average of 3.73, on linguistic aspects obtained an average of 3.64, on the aspect of feasibility evaluation obtained an average of 3.66, on media experts obtained on average (aspects of media efficiency obtained an average of 3.87, (2) attracting the development of mathematics learning media using the traditional game-based mathematical tools students' responses obtained an average score of 3.61 in the "very interesting" criteria.

Abstract

Household waste continues to grow daily, forcing the Indonesian government to start thinking about a good management strategy that will not damage the environment or harm the community. A two-fold increase in waste is very likely to occur if there are no strict policies for waste that result in environmental and ecosystem pollution. Waste is not only a big city problem. Each district/city in each province has the same problems in handling waste. For example, in Bogor Regency, approximately 2,800 tons of waste must be managed and transported daily. However, only about 700 tons of waste can be transported and managed by the local government. This condition was also found at SDN Putat Nutug, Bogor Regency. Waste management at SDN Putat Nutug 03 Ciseeng, Bogor Regency, still relies on traditional methods, namely burning. Garbage-burning activities that do not comply with this procedure can cause problems such as air pollution. This community service activity aims to increase students' knowledge and skills through hands-on sorting, processing, and managing waste. The practical activities of waste processing are divided into two parts: the presentation of theory and education regarding waste and how to process it and the practical activities of waste processing with the 3R method. The activity results in environmentally friendly products from plastic waste, showing that the 3R method interests’ students. Hopefully, in the future, schools that apply the 3R method will increase the method of waste management so that the waste problem can be reduced slowly

Abstract

The linkage and coherence of Basic Physics material with material applications in real life is a new problem in Basic Physics lectures at Putra Indonesia University YPTK Padang. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of using the PjBL model to increase students' understanding of the application of the Basic Physics course. This type of research was a quasi-experimental involving a research sample of Informatics Engineering students at the Faculty of Computer Science UPI YPTK Padang who took the Basic Physics course in the 2019/2020 academic year. The sampling technique used is random sampling. In this study the sample class was divided into two categories, namely the experimental class of 51 students and the control class of 51 students. The instrument used is a work assessment sheet in the form of a portfolio. The data analysis technique used was an independent sample t-test, with prerequisite tests first being carried out, namely normality and homogeneity tests. Based on the results of the data analysis performed, the sig-2 tailed value for the independent sample t-test was 0.00 < of the value α = 0.05 . The conclusion from this study is that there are differences in student understanding between classes whose lectures use the PjBL model and classes that carry out conventional learning.
