Abstract

PT. Pertamina appointed the MT ship. Karmila becomes a bunker ship, which is useful for supplying MFO fuel to Pertamina's ships and Pertamina's charter ships operating in the Dumai port area. So that the cargo pump plays a very important role in the fuel supply process. Obstruction of the discharge process will result in a decrease in the performance of the cargo handling process which will hamper ship operational activities. The method used is a case study with a qualitative descriptive analysis approach. Data collection obtained by direct observation at MT. KARMILA which is a ship owned by PT. PERTAMINA and direct interviews with the ship's crew. In addition, data sources are also obtained from the instruction manual, SOPs on board and references from articles related to pumping rates. The results of this study state that the problems that occur when the cargo supply bunker discharge is caused by several factors such as difficulty in adjusting the pumping rate for the supply bunker according to pipe capacity, the temperature increase of the electro motor cargo pump (overheating), the high initial load so that the generator is unstable, damage to the connection hose to the supply bunker. These things cause problems when the cargo discharge process for supply bunkers. One solution to overcome these problems is to control the rotation of the electro motor cargo pump using an inverter so that the pumping rate can be controlled as needed so that excess load and pressure can be avoided.

Abstract

Manufacturing industries face significant challenges in maintaining consistent product quality, particularly in minimizing reject rates across production machines, as high reject levels not only increase operational costs but also reduce overall efficiency and competitiveness. This study aims to develop a predictive approach using the Random Forest algorithm to forecast monthly chip rejects across different production machines, with historical reject data consisting of 1,820 records from June 2023 to September 2024 analyzed based on four primary reject categories and five production machines (DCL1, DCL2, CMI200, CMI200+, and YMJ400). The Random Forest model was applied to classify and predict reject patterns, and its performance was evaluated based on prediction accuracy and error rates, showing that the algorithm is effective in predicting reject counts with an absolute error of 0.640 ± 0.183, especially for lower reject values under 300, although accuracy decreases when handling higher reject levels above 500. Machine-level analysis further reveals that DCL1 and DCL2 consistently contribute the highest reject counts with high variability, while CMI200 and CMI200+ demonstrate stable performance with most rejects below 300, and YMJ400 generally records lower rejects but occasionally exhibits spikes, suggesting inconsistent performance. In conclusion, the Random Forest model provides a reliable predictive framework for monitoring reject trends, identifying DCL1 and DCL2 as priority targets for improvement, and supporting proactive maintenance strategies to enhance overall production quality.

Abstract

As Islamic educational institutions, pesantren are still claimed to be underdeveloped educational institutions, often even "crowned" only for the benefit of those who are unable or poor, producing people who are exclusive, fanatical, and even at a very sad behavior, namely "terrorism." considered to originate from Islamic educational institutions, because in fact several Islamic educational institutions were "considered" as the origin of the group. Even though this "assumption" is wrong and can be rejected, because there are no Islamic educational institutions that aim to produce or print groups of people like that. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there are three faces of education in Islamic boarding schools. First, Islamic boarding schools that organize formal education through Islamic boarding schools, such as elementary, junior high, high school/vocational school, and PTU. Second, Islamic boarding schools that organize formal education through Islamic boarding schools such as MI, MTs, MA/MAK, and PTAI. Third, Islamic boarding schools that organize formal education in the SPM/PDF and Ma'had Aly pathways. In addition, Islamic boarding schools also organize non-formal and informal education. The accusation that religious education in Islamic boarding schools is experiencing setbacks and is not in accordance with the times is also not true because Islamic boarding schools have the principle of al-muhafadhotu 'ala qodimis sholih wal akhdzu biljadidil ashlah, namely maintaining the old which is good and taking the new which is better.
