Abstract

Biomassa merupakan salah satu sumber alam yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber energi terbarukan. Pemanfaatan biomassa sebagai sumber energi dapat dilakukan dengan teknologi gasifikasi. Teknologi gasifikasi merupakan proses pengkonversian bahan bakar padat menjadi gas mampu bakar (CO, CH₄, H₂) melalui proses pembakaran. Produk gas hasil gasifikasi tersebut berupa gas mampu bakar seperti karbon monoksida (CO), hidrogen (H₂), gas metana, pengotor anorganik seperti NH₃ dan HCN, kandungan H₂S, debu halus, dan pengotor organik seperti tar. Untuk pengurangan kandungan tar, maka perlu adanya proses penyaringan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan filter wet scrubber dengan tujuan penurunan temperatur dan penyaringan kandungan tar, debu, serta mendapatkan visualisasi nyala api terbaik dari 4 jenis biomassa dengan pengaturan tekanan air pada sprayer. Di sisi lain, pengurangan kandungan tar berpengaruh terhadap hasil syngas yang nantinya akan diteruskan ke mesin diesel sebagai pengganti bahan bakar minyak. Jika syngas masih mengandung tar, dapat menghambat bahkan merusak mesin diesel tersebut. Peneliti menggunakan 4 jenis biomassa yaitu: serbuk kayu jati, kayu sengon, sekam padi, dan tempurung kelapa dengan tekanan sprayer 2, 3, 4 kg/cm². Dari 4 jenis biomassa didapat nyala api terbaik yaitu tempurung kelapa dengan tekanan sprayer 4 kg/cm², temperatur 193 °C, dan nyala api tanpa mengandung asap serta hasil syngas sedikit mengandung tar.

Abstract

As one of the four English skills that has to be mastered, English learners still see that speaking mastery is challenging. Many of them are difficult to speak, although their writing, reading, and listening skills are good. This research presents a classroom action research of using Instagram in English speaking classroom with students in a private senior high school in Surakarta. The purpose of this research is to propose the use of Instagram as a social media to teach speaking as well as to find out the students' attitude towards the use of Instagram in enhancing their speaking skills. The study revealed that Instagram used in English speaking classroom brings effective meaning for them in learning English. Instagram also brings a positive attitude to students so that they can learn to speak English more easily.

Abstract

Kasus Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) terus meningkat di Indonesia, termasuk di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung yang mengalami fluktuasi angka kejadian dari tahun ke tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peta sebaran IR DBD 2020-2024 dengan mempertimbangkan faktor variabel curah hujan, menganalisis konsentrasi wilayah kasus tertinggi, serta mengidentifikasi klaster spasial. Data yang digunakan meliputi data curah hujan, jumlah kasus DBD, dan jumlah penduduk dari tahun 2020 hingga 2024. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan metode Ordinary Co-Kriging, Anselin Local Moran’s I, dan Hotspot Analysis (Getis-Ord Gi*), dengan pemilihan model semivariogram terbaik berdasarkan nilai RMSE menggunakan software ArcGIS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Gaussian memberikan nilai RMSE paling kecil sehingga menjadi model semivariogram terbaik dalam memprediksi persebaran kasus. Pemetaan Co-Kriging memperlihatkan bahwa menunjukkan bahwa hubungan curah hujan dengan kejadian IR DBD berfluktuasi setiap tahunnya, dengan risiko tertinggi terjadi pada tahun 2024 di kecamatan bagian tengah wilayah penelitian. Hasil Moran’s I mengindikasikan adanya pengelompokan spasial positif, di mana wilayah dengan kasus tinggi cenderung berdekatan dengan wilayah bernilai tinggi lainnya. Sementara itu, hasil Hotspot Analysis menunjukkan pergeseran lokasi daerah rawan DBD setiap tahun, yaitu dari Sungai Selan pada tahun 2020, Lubuk Besar pada 2021, wilayah Kota Pangkalpinang pada 2022–2023, hingga Koba dan sekitarnya pada 2024. Pola ini menggambarkan bahwa curah hujan memiliki hubungan dinamis terhadap peningkatan kasus DBD.

Abstract

Various activities especially in fulfillment daily needs, generate a lot of waste. One of the negative effects of waste generation is the contribution of greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere which causes global warming. Every location has waste, both organic and non-organic, or other types. The open space in Bendan Dhuwur campus area is dominated by organic waste due to leaf fall from many trees around. This is a concern because there is no proper waste management and it is immediately burned. This study focuses on analyzing the composition of waste and calculating the contribution of CO2 emissions from domestic waste generation at Bendan dhuwur campus of UPGRIS Semarang. The method used is random sampling accompanied by quantitative descriptive measurements and analysis. The result of the research shows that the calculation of waste composition for leaf waste is 3.58 x 10-3 Gg/year; twig waste 3.6 x 10-4 Gg/year; paper waste 3.57 x 10-4 Gg/year; plastic waste 2.02 x 10-4 Gg/year and CO2 emissions = 2.12 x 10-3 Gg/year; CH4= 2.57 x 10-5 Gg/year (leaves), CO2 = 2.18 x 10-4 Gg/year; CH4=2.58 x 10-6 Gg/year (twig), CO2 = 1.53 x 10-4 Gg/year; CH4= 2.56 x 10-6 Gg/year (paper), CO2 = 0.02 Gg/year; CH4= 1.45 x 10-6 Gg/year (plastic) Keywords: waste, CO2, CH4

Abstract

This study is an autobiography of the author's experience as an English teacher teaching 12th graders digital multimodal composing (DMC). I have been teaching vocational high school students for seventeen years in one of Indonesia's vocational high schools. I am still looking for the best way to develop the writing skills of vocational high school students. I want to alter their perceptions of writing. It is essential to create a fun and meaningful writing process both inside and outside the classroom. Students born in the twenty-first century, the digital generation, and modern students. DMC as the textual practice entails using digital tools to generate text by combining various semiotic modes. Each mode is meaningful and serves a purpose. As a teacher, I can create any digital mode based on my students' needs and knowledge. This study used the narrative inquiry method to explore and reflect on the story of the teacher.
