Abstract

Pembelajaran biologi mengalami kesulitan disebabkan konsep fisiologis yang abstrak, salah satunya adalah materi sistem saraf manusia. Sebagai solusi alternatif dengan mengkombinasikan strategi pembelajaran secara tatap muka di kelas (face to face) dengan strategi pembelajaran berbasis e-learning, yaitu strategi pembelajaran blended learning. Untuk itu diperlukan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan strategi blended learning yang dapat menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan perangkat blended learning sistem saraf manusia yang dapat memfasilitasi siswa untuk berpikir kritis, 2) menganalisis validitas, efektivitas, dan kepraktisan perangkat blended learning. Penelitian dan pengembangan (R & D) dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model 4-D yang meliputi tahapan Define, Design, Develop, tanpa tahap Desseminate, sedangkan “one sample group pretest-posttest design” sebagai desain penelitian pada tahap pengujian skala luas. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah silabus, RPP, bahan ajar. Uji coba skala kecil kelas XI IPA 1 dan skala besar kelas XI IPA 2 dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMA N 1 Larangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perangkat blended learning sistem saraf manusia yang dikembangkan memiliki kriteria valid dengan rata-rata ≥ 0,70 peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan kategori tinggi N-Gain ≥ 0,70. Ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar 85% dan keterampilan berpikir kritis 90%. Perangkat pembelajaran dapat memfasilitasi siswa berpikir kritis karena blended learning membuat siswa berfikir secara holistik dan memunculkan pertanyaan serta jawaban kritis.   Learning of biology gets difficulty because of abstract physiology concept, either is nervous system. Alternative solution is combinating learning strategy face to face with learning strategy based e-larn, that is blended learning strategy. Therefor, it is needed to use blended learning in learning device which can increase students critical thinking skill. The purpose of this research are: 1) produce learning device of nervous system using blended learning system that can facilitate students to think critically, 2) analie validity, efectivity, and practicity learning device using blended learning stretegy. Research and development in this research in using 4-D model, define, design, develop, without desseminate whereas “one sample group pretest-posttest design”. Learning device that is developed are sylabus, lesson plan, and teaching materials. Experiments/ trials in small scale and scale are done in grade XI sains students of SMA N 1 Larangan. Research result of learning device of nervous system using blended learning system developed have validity on the average 87,3, raising students critical thinking skill is high N-gain 0,70. Clasical completeness of learning result 85% and critical thinking skill is 90%

Abstract

Keong mas (Pomaceacanaliculata) hama padi yang banyak ditemukan di Mijen, Kota Semarang, diolah menjadi pupuk organik cair asam amino (pocamino) karena memiliki kandungan protein tinggidan lemak yang rendah. Hal tersebut merupakan kajian potensi dan masalah lokal, dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber penyusunan bahan ajar kontekstual untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar nyata bagi siswa. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan berbentuk booklet, berukuran kecil dan tipis, berisi penjelasan ringkas, sistematis, dilengkapi gambar/ilustrasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan pengembangan booklet berdasarkan kajian potensi dan masalah lokal sebagai suplemen bahan ajar materi pemupukan di SMK Pertanian dan menganalisis kelayakan booklet. Penelitian mengunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan yang diawali riset di lapangan mengenai pengolahan hama keong mas menjadi pocamino. Data yang diambil yaitu analisis kebutuhan lingkungan dan sekolah, data kandungan dan hasil aplikasi pocamino, data kelayakan booklet olehpenilaian ahli dan pengguna dengan lembar validasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pocamino memiliki kandungan unsur hara N, P, K dan asam amino dengan kadar yang beragam. Disimpulkan bahwa booklet yang dikembangkan berdasarkan kajian potensi dan masalah lokal dinilai layak sebagai suplemen bahan ajar materi pemupukan di SMK Pertanian karena memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,7 dari ahli, skor 89,3% dari tanggapan guru dan 88,87% dari siswa. Golden apple snail (Pomaceacanaliculata) became major pest of rice found in MijenSemarang,used as amino acid organic liquid fertilizer (pocamino) because has high protein and low fat. This study of potential and local problems, can be utilized as source of contextual teaching materials to provide real learning experience for students. The teaching materials developed became booklet, containsbrief explanation, systematic and equipped with pictures/illustrations. The aims of this research are, to describe development of booklet based on the study of potential and local problems as teaching material supplement of fertilizing at SMK Pertanian and analyze feasibility of booklet. This research and development begins with field research on processing golden apple snail into pocamino. Data collected are environmental and school requirement analysis, pocamino content and application data, booklet feasibility by expert and user assessment, with validation sheet. Results showed that pocamino contain N, P, K nutrients and amino acids with varying levels. The conclusion was, bookletthat developed based onstudy of potential and local problems suitable as teaching material supplement of fertilizing in SMK Pertanian, because got average score 4.7 from experts, 89.3% from teachers and 88.87% from students.

Abstract

Profesionalitas guru biologi merupakan salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan proses belajar mengajar biologi di sekolah. Penelitian mengenai profesionalitas guru telah banyak dilakukan, namun informasi mengenai profesionalitas guru biologi di SMAS Katolik Bhaktyarsa Maumere masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan profesionalitas guru biologi, mendeskripsikan pemahaman dan tingkat partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, terdiri dari narasumber utama dan narasumber pendukung. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengisian skala psikologi, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data ditentukan dengan menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa guru biologi SMAS Katolik Bhaktyarsa Maumere memenuhi kualitas professional engagement, sedangkan professional knowledge dan professional practice masih mengalami kendala yang perlu dibenahi. Umumnya siswa berpartisipasi aktif dan mampu memahami materi yang disampaikan guru biologi.   Biology teacher professionalism is one of the critical factors for the quality of biology teaching and learning at schools. Research on teacher professionalism has been widely implemented, but there is still limited information about the biology teacher professionalism at the Private Catholic Senior High School of Bhaktyarsa Maumere. This research aimed to analys the biology teacher professionalism, describe students’ understanding and participations in learning biology. This research used a qualitative method with case study approaches. The participant subjects were decided by using purposive sampling technique. It consists of main informers and supporting informers. The data was collected from interview, filled questionnaire, observation, and documentation. Validity of data was improved by triangulation techniques and sources. The result showed that the biology teachers at the school ready satisfied the quality of professional engagement, meanwhile there were some problems found in term of their professional knowledge and practice. In general, the students were actively participated in their biology class and capable of understanding the content material presented by biology teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze profile of students' scientific literacy in immune system material seen by aspects of competence (science process), content (knowledge), and context (application) through problem-based learning (PBL). This study used an experimental method, namely one shot case study design. The population used in this study is class XI SMAN 1 Palimanan with a research sample of class XI MIPA 1,2,3,6 amount of 134 students. Instrument used a reasoning multiple choice test sheet to measure students' scientific literacy profiles and interview sheet to add data the results of the scientific literacy test. Sub-material used the concept of immune system material and its application. The results showed that contained on 4 students (2.99%) in very high category of scientific literacy, 22 students in high category (16.42%), 63 students in medium category (47.01%), 18 students in low category ( 13.44%) and 27 students in very low category (20.14%). Indicators explaining scientific phenomena can be achieved well with the number of students 45 and the proportion of achievement is 33.58%; scientific scientific survey can be achieved well with the number of students 53 and the proportion of achievement is 39.55% .; interpret data and scientific evidence well with the number of students 49 and the proportion of achievement is 36.57%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that students' scientific literacy is in the medium group.

Abstract

The Mangrove Morosari Demak was once a densely populated area, but due to the abrasion process of the Java Sea, the area was eventually submerged. This condition affects the survival of Gastropods and Bivalves. This study aims to develop an e-booklet based on the research of Gastropods and Bivalves’ Diversity in the Mangrove Morosari Demak. The e-booklet is named GAVIAMORIDA which stands for Gastropods and Bivalves in the Mangrove Morosari Demak. This development research uses the ADDIE method with 5 stages: Alanyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. This research resulted a kind of e-booklet “GAVIAMORIDA” with detailed information about 11 types of Gastropods and 1 Bivalves which found in the Mangrove Morosari Demak. The average value of diversity index (H ') is 2.116 (moderate), evenness index (E) is 0.912 (high), and dominance index (C) is 0.131 (stable). The results of the validation from two kinds validators (experts and users) were 85.61% which were classified as "very valid" and "Feasible to produce with revisions according to suggestions". The results of the effectiveness of the GAVIAMORIDA e-booklet showed a high N-Gain value of 0.73. The conclusion of this study is the GAVIAMORIDA e-booklet feasible and effective as an alternative source of learning for high school students.

The diversity of fish as an environmental potential found in Tuban Regency can be used as a supplement to contextual-based teaching materials which are packaged in the form of a digital encyclopedia. Smartphone owned by students can be used in learning biology. This study aims to 1) Study and describe the diversity of fish at TPI Bulu Bancar and Gelondonggede Tambakboyo Tuban, 2) Assess product characteristics, 3) Test product validity based on material and media, 4) Test product effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes , and 5) Testing the practicality of the product. This research belongs to Research and Development. Observation is used as the data collection methodology in obtained fish biodiversity. The development is in the form of an android-based digital encyclopedia which is then used as a supplement to teaching materials for biodiversity. The trial was conducted at SMAN 1 Bancar Tuban by taking control and experimental classes. The results showed 1) The diversity of fish species found in TPI Bulu Bancar and Gelondonggede Tambakboyo Tuban each consisted of 17 species and 23 species, 2) Product characteristics were developed in digital form containing material on biodiversity of fish, 3) Validity by material experts valid criteria and media experts with very valid criteria. 4) The effectiveness test is seen from the increase in cognitive learning outcomes. The digital encyclopedia of fish diversity can be used as a supplement to teaching materials on contextual-based biodiversity materials.

Abstract

This research aims to test the validity and effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) oriented e-magazine teaching materials in improving critical thinking skills and caring attitude towards laboratory work safety. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) research that uses the ADDIE model by applying a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects in this study were 51 students of class X MIA SMA N 7 Jambi City. Research instruments in the form of expert validation questionnaires, questionnaires on the readability of teaching materials, critical thinking skills test questions and attitudes about laboratory safety. The data analysis of the expert, practitioner, legibility and practicality validation questionnaire data showed that the validity of the e-magazine was considered very valid. Effective teaching materials improve critical thinking skills seen from the posttest average of the experimental class is 80.1 and the control class is 71.3. The average N-gain of the experimental class is 0.59 (medium) and in the control class is 0.33 (medium). Effective teaching materials increase the attitude of caring for safety as seen from the posttest average of the experimental class of 79.6 and the control class of 74.7. The average N-gain of the experimental class is 0.55 (medium) and in the control class is 0.42 (medium). Based on the research results, PBL-oriented e-magazines are valid for use in learning and are effective in improving critical thinking skills and caring attitude towards laboratory safety.
