Abstract

The transformation of the communication landscape in the digital era has compelled conventional mass media to adapt and evolve in order to remain relevant amid the shifting patterns of public information consumption. This study aims to analyze the information dissemination strategies employed by tvOne through its Instagram account @tvOneNews as a manifestation of media convergence. The study adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing content analysis and digital observation methods, focusing on the forms of content, patterns of news presentation, and the interactions between the media and its audiences on the Instagram platform. The theoretical foundation of this research is based on Henry Jenkins’ (2006) Media Convergence Theory, which explains the process through which various media platforms merge and interact, blurring the boundaries between traditional media (television) and new media (social media). Convergence is understood not merely as a technological integration but also as a cultural transformation and a shift in user participation patterns in producing and consuming information. The findings reveal that @tvOneNews has repositioned itself from a one-way broadcasting medium to a participatory media platform, emphasizing speed, visual storytelling, and interactivity. This convergence strategy enables tvOne to expand audience reach, enhance engagement, and strengthen its institutional image within the digital sphere. Thus, the practice of media convergence in @tvOneNews represents a concrete example of the transformation of television journalism toward a more collaborative and adaptive communication ecosystem.

Abstract

Character education programs often struggle to translate moral ideals into everyday social practice. Pitutur luhur—local moral sayings and guidance—offers culturally grounded resources for shaping students’ social conduct. Objective: This study explores how pitutur luhur values are internalized in school-based character education and how the process relates to students’ social life. Method: Using a qualitative descriptive design, data were collected through classroom and school observations, semi?structured interviews with teachers and students, and document review of lesson plans and school programs. Data were analyzed through iterative reduction, display, and theme development, supported by triangulation and member checking. Findings: Three main pathways supported internalization: (1) integration into classroom learning through contextual discussion and reflection; (2) habituation routines that repeatedly practice respect, responsibility, and cooperation; and (3) teachers’ exemplification as daily models of polite communication and fairness. Participants reported improvements in peer interaction, tolerance, and collaborative problem?solving, although limited instructional time and uneven initial awareness remained constraints. Conclusion: Embedding pitutur luhur in both instruction and school culture can strengthen students’ social life while sustaining local cultural heritage; continued school–family–community collaboration is essential for consistency.

Abstract

This study examined the implementation of Classroom-Based Assessment (CBA) at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Ulum Toto Mulyo, focusing on three assessment dimensions: assessment as learning, assessment for learning, and assessment of learning, and their relation to students’ competencies (cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and 21st-century skills/4C). Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis (rubrics, instruments, and learning outcomes). Data analysis followed an interactive process involving data reduction, data display, and source triangulation to ensure credibility. The findings indicate that teachers have integrated several CBA principles into instructional practices, particularly in formative assessment (assessment for learning), which is evident in regular understanding checks and feedback provision. However, the implementation of assessment as learning remains limited due to a lack of structured reflection and self-assessment practices. Assessment of learning is conducted but is not yet fully standardized or transparent to students. In terms of competencies, assessment tends to emphasize cognitive and psychomotor domains, especially in religious practices, while the development of 4C skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication) and consistent affective assessment still require improvement. The study recommends enhancing transparency in assessment criteria, developing clear rubrics, strengthening self-assessment practices, and providing teacher training on fair and learning-oriented CBA design and implementation.

Abstract

Remedial programs in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning are needed to help students who have difficulty understanding Islamic concepts, which has an impact on low academic achievement. Many students have not reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. However, the implementation of remedial measures is often constrained by time constraints, lack of resources, and low student motivation to learn. This study aims to analyze the implementation of remedial programs in improving student learning completeness in PAI subjects. The method used is qualitative with a literature study approach, while content analysis is used to examine various academic sources related to challenges and remedial success factors. The results of the study showed that remedial programs contributed positively to improving learning outcomes and strengthening students' religious values. Effective strategies include identifying individual needs, applying contextual learning methods, personalized approaches to teaching, and continuous evaluation. However, various obstacles are still faced, such as limited teacher skills and low student motivation. Recommended solutions include strengthening collaboration between teachers, schools, and parents, as well as professional training for educators. With systematic planning and consistent implementation, remedial programs can realize fairer, more inclusive, and comprehensive PAI learning.
