Abstract

This article presents a theoretical study of Istiṣlaḥ and also its application to the MUI fatwa of Jambi Province. The four fatwas studied include; fatwas about religious lectures, the bride and groom sitting side by side at wedding receptions, friendship between Muslims and other people, and fatwas about the commemoration of Islamic holidays. The main problem studied is what is the position of Istiṣlaḥ and its application to the MUI fatwa of Jambi Province? This article comes from qualitative phenomenological research which examines the phenomenon of fatwa application using the Istiṣlaḥ paradigm on four cases that are the focus. The results of the research show that in implementing the fatwa with the application of the principles of al-Istiṣlaḥ, the Jambi MUI succeeded in getting out of its attachment to certain schools of jurisprudence. The use of fatwa using Istiṣlaḥ independently is not found in the uṣūl fiqh of the Syafi'i school, nor in the practice of its fiqh issues, while the MUI fatwa uses it. The MUI fatwa continues to follow the patterns and manhaj outlined by sectarian scholars, even though it does not limit itself to certain sects. Artikel ini menyajikan kajian teoretis Istiṣlaḥ dan juga penerapannya pada fatwa MUI Provinsi Jambi. Empat fatwa yang dikaji antara lain; fatwa tentang ceramah agama, pengantin yang duduk bersanding dalam resepsi pernikahan, silaturahmi Umat Islam dengan umat lain, dan fatwa tentang peringatan Hari- hari Besar Islam. Permasalahan utama yang dikaji adalah bagaimana kedudukan Istiṣlaḥ dan aplikasinya pada fatwa MUI Provinsi Jambi? Artikel ini berasal dari penelitian kualitatif fenomenologis yang mengkaji fenomena aplikasi fatwa yang berparadigma Istiṣlaḥ terhadap empat kasus yang menjadi fokus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam penerapan fatwa dengan penerapan prinsip-prisip al- Istiṣlaḥ, MUI Jambi berhasil keluar dari keterikatan terhadap mazhab fiqih tertentu. Penggunaan fatwa dengan menggunakan Istiṣlaḥ secara mandiri tidak ditemukan dalam uṣūl fiqh mazhab Syafi’i, pun dalam praktik masalah fiqihnya, sementara fatwa MUI memakainya. Fatwa MUI tetap mengikuti pola dan manhaj yang digariskan para ulama mazhab, sekalipun tidak membatasi diri pada mazhab tertentu.

Abstract

This article reveals the implementation of religious moderation as a hidden curriculum at the Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School, Jambi Province. This article comes from ethnographic research with a qualitative qualitative approach. The results of this research show that the factors behind religious moderation in this Islamic boarding school include; haliyah, ibrah, amtsal, syawir, and culture. The implementation of attitudes and values that reflect religious moderation in this Islamic boarding school is reflected in the attitudes and behavior of national commitment, tolerant attitudes, non-violence attitudes, and accommodating attitudes towards local culture. Barriers to religious moderation revolve around the institutional environment, fanaticism, family, and information media. The results achieved in implementing religious moderation in the hidden curriculum are found in the curriculum, teachers' personalities and students. The implementation of religious moderation that has been implemented in the hidden curriculum is reflected in the Islamic education model which is holistic and inclusively integrative spiritually based. Artikel ini mengungkap implementasi moderasi beragama sebagai hidden kurikulum di Pondok Pesantren Al-Ishlah Propinsi Jambi. Artikel ini berasal  dari penelitian etnografi dengan pendekatan kualitatif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang melatarbelakangi moderasi beragama di pondok pesantren ini antara lain; haliyah, ibrah, amtsal, syawir, dan kultur. Implementasi sikap dan nilai yang mencerminkan moderasi beragama di Pesantren ini tergambar dalam sikap dan perilaku komitmen kebangsaan, sikap toleran, sikap anti kekerasan, sikap akomodatif terhadap budaya lokal. Hambatan moderasi beragama berkisar pada lingkungan lembaga, fanatisme, keluarga, dan media informasi. Hasil yang dicapai dalam penerapan moderasi beragama pada hidden kurikulum terdapat dalam kurikulum, pribadi guru, dan santri. Implementasi moderasi beragama yang telah diterapkan dalam hidden kurikulum tercermin dalam model pendidikan Islam yang berbasis spiritual holistik dan inklusif integratif.

Abstract

This research examines how the process of instilling the values of Islamic education in SMP Negeri 4 Jambi City. the aim is to describe and analyze the general picture of the religious character of students and the process of instilling the values of Islamic education in SMP Negeri 4 Jambi City. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, and the type of research used is field research. The subjects of this study were PAI teachers and students at SMP Negeri 4 Jambi City, while the object of the research was the inculcation of Islamic educational values in improving the religious character of students at SMP Negeri 4 Jambi City. The results of this study indicate that PAI teachers have carried out the process of instilling the values of Islamic education using (1) innovative teaching methods by making self-study modules and PAI pocket books for students, (2) modeling greetings, shaking hands, tolerant and guiding students in each activity, (3) habituation by making the Dzhuhur prayer program in congregation, monthly yasinan, tahfidz juz 'amma, as well as accustoming students to mutual tolerance between religions (4) motivation and enforcement of rules such as giving advice and reprimands for actions committed student. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang bagaimana proses penanaman nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam di SMP Negeri 4  Kota Jambi. tujuannya adalah mendeskripsikan dan menganalisa gambaran umum karakter religius siswa dan proses penanaman nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam di SMP Negeri 4  Kota Jambi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, dan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan (field recearch). Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah guru PAI dan siswa di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Jambi, sedangkan objek penelitiannya adalah penanaman nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam peningkatan karakter religius siswa di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Jambi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI telah melakukan proses penanaman nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dengan metode (1) pengajaran yang inovatif dengan membuat modul belajar sendiri serta buku saku PAI untuk siswa, (2) peneladanan untuk mengucapkan salam, berjabat tangan, bertoleransi serta membimbing siswa dalam setiap kegiatan, (3) pembiasaan dengan membuat program sholat dzhuhur berjama’ah, yasinan bulanan, tahfidz juz ‘amma, serta membiasakan siswa untuk saling toleransi antar agama (4) motivasi dan penegakkan aturan seperti memberi nasihat dan teguran atas perbuatan yang dilakukan siswa.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengungkap penerapan parenting style dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai akhlaq al-karimah di Lembaga Kesejahteraan Sosial Anak (LKSA) Ainul Yaqien Kota Jambi. Artikel ini berasal dari penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan etnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa parenting style dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai akhlaq al-karimah di LKSA Ainul Yaqien Kota Jambi menggunakan parenting style otoritatif yang dikombinasikan dengan parenting style yang bersifat nasehat, keteladanan, dan pembiasaan. Aktualisasi nilai akhlaq al-karimah di lembaga ini berupa menjaga kebersihan, sopan santun, saling tolong-menolong, bersikap adil, berkata jujur, ikhlas, sabar dan selalu bersyukur. Adapun upaya yang dilakukan lembaga dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai akhlaq al-karimah antara lain; melaksanakan ibadah, kajian keagamaan, membudayakan antri, dan berpakaian sopan. This article reveals the application of parenting style in instilling akhlaq al-karimah (Noble Characters) at the Ainul Yaqien Child Welfare Institution (LKSA) in Jambi City. This article comes from descriptive qualitative research using an ethnographic approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Research findings show that the parenting style in instilling akhlaq al-karimah values at LKSA Ainul Yaqien, Jambi City uses an authoritative parenting style combined with a parenting style that is advice, example and habituation. The actualization of akhlaq al-karimah values in this institution takes the form of maintaining cleanliness, good manners, helping each other, being fair, telling the truth, being sincere, being patient and always being grateful. The efforts made by the institution to instill akhlaq al-karimah include; carrying out worship, religious studies, practicing queuing, and dressing politely.

Abstract

This article reveals why Kyai's charismatic leadership is the most important supporting element in the development of ecological systems theory and not an obstacle to the progress of Islamic boarding schools. This article comes from qualitative research which collects data through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that Kyai leadership in developing ecological systems theory in Islamic boarding schools is carried out with a charismatic type and a collective-collegial pattern, which is applied to the typical qualifications of Islamic boarding school leaders and their educational methodology. In the EST perspective, Islamic boarding schools are able to provide education in an integrated, comprehensive (holistic) and total manner. It is called integrative because in Islamic boarding school education, educational domains such as school, family and society are integrated into one unified whole. Comprehensive because Islamic boarding schools educate all human qualities, both cognitive-intellectual, mental-emotional, and moral-spiritual. Artikel ini mengungkap mengapa kepemimpinan kharismatik Kyai menjadi unsur pendukung terpenting dalam pengembangan teori sistem ekologi dan bukan menjadi penghambat kemajuan pesantren. Artikel ini berasal dari penelitian kualitatif yang mengumpulkan data secara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa kepemimpinan Kyai dalam pengembangan teori sistem ekologi di pesantren dilaksanakan dengan tipe karismatik dan pola kolektif-kolegial, yang diterapkan pada kualifikasi tipikal pemimpin pesantren dan metodologi pendidikannya. Dalam perspektif EST, pesantren mampu menyelenggarakan pendidikan secara terpadu, komprehensif (holistik), dan total. Disebut integratif karena dalam pendidikan pesantren, domain pendidikan seperti sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat diintegrasikan menjadi satu kesatuan yang utuh. Komprehensif karena pesantren mendidik seluruh kualitas manusia, baik kognitif-intelektual, mental-emosional, dan moral-spiritual.

Abstract

Talking about the quality of education, it will be directly related to the role of schools as educational institutions. Management of teaching and learning in schools is very meaningful in determining student success. To achieve good school quality, education costs must be managed optimally. Therefore, the stages in education financing management need to be considered. Basically the purpose of education financing management is the implementation of an educational process that is in accordance with the expected learning needs of students. Education financing management in PAUD is in the high category, meaning that school principals in PAUD have been able to carry out education financing management optimally starting from financing planning and budgeting, financing implementation, financing monitoring and control and accountability.

Abstract

This paper discusses the Malay marriage procession that must be followed by the Malay indigenous people in Kepulauan Riau, because there are moral sanctions if they do not follow applicable customary law. In this study, the problem is examined from the maqāṣid sharīah perspective. The research method used is a qualitative research method in the form of field research. While the nature of the research is descriptive-philosophical, with data sources divided into two, namely primary data sources and secondary data sources. In collecting data, the methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study found that in maqāṣid sharīah perspective, the Malay marriage procession in Kepulauan Riau must be seen based on the level of urgency, namely dharuriyyah, hajjiyyah and tahsiniyyah. If viewed through maqāṣid sharīah perspective, the Malay marriage procession in Kepulauan Riau is something that is characteristic tahsiniyyah. This is because the Malay marriage procession in Kepulauan Riau only serves as a support for increasing a person’s association in society and as a mere form of obedience.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to create a representation of several tertiary institutions that are capable of significant transformations. The findings of this field research: 1) Management policies in preparing Insani’s Human Resources (SDI) for the transformation agenda at IAI Muhammad Azim with a focus on HR readiness policies and academic governance policies. The Governance Policy at IAI YASNI applies the principles of Insani’s Human Resource Management (MSDI), namely: shura, musyarakah, al-ujrah, and obedience to leaders, 2) The process of transformation through the practice of MSDI in Private Higher Education IAIMA and IAI YASNI is divided into the process of administrative transition and the process of building a transformative work culture and MSDI, 3) The dynamics in the Implementation of the Transformation Agenda at Private Higher Education in Jambi province run dynamically and continuously through internalization of transformative values and strategic planning and capacity building of higher education SDI, 4) There are several barriers to IAI Muhammad Azim’s transformation program, including a lack of commitment to the organization, a dearth of qualified human resources (tridharma and education and training), acclimatization to new technologies and cultural norms, and opposition to internal change. The following factors are preventing IAI Yasni from implementing its change agenda: compensation restrictions, sincerity, resistance, and conflict of interest between administrators, 5) The accomplishments of the transformation agenda that IAI Muhammad Azim can produce, specifically: adjustments to a new work culture, adjustments to human resources from an Islamic values perspective, and institutional adjustments. A new integrated digitalization-based work culture, quality-based tridharma education, and the construction of a new work culture based on competence and sincerity are all part of IAI Yasni’s transformation plan, and 6) Kopertais as a facilitator and institution that fosters and has internal performance, namely assisting universities in preparing material for changes in status transfer.
