Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to (1) produce a valid learning blog as a medium of learning and practical learning in the acquisition of the concept of carbon chemistry, (2) to study the acquisition of carbon chemistry concepts using learning blog has been developed. The method used is the method of development, with the chosen design development using ADDIE development. Development steps are as follows: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. Validation of product development include (1) expert test material, (2) test media expert, (3) lecturer of test subjects, (4) individual testing, (5) a small test group, and (6) of the test group . The instrument used in this study was a test, observation, questionnaires and document analysis. Results of this study indicate that (1) learning blog developed carbon chemistry has been declared valid and practical as media and learning resources in the acquisition of learned concepts carbon chemistry. (2) blog of learning that has been developed to help in the acquisition of learning the concept of carbon chemistry for students.Keywords: Developmental, Learning Blog, Carbon Chemistry

Abstract

AbstractThe study examines the effect of problem solving strategy to improve the student?s skill of solving the problem on momentum and impulse. The method of this research is pre-experimental design (one group pretest-posttest design) with 30 students of X MIPA 3 grade at SMAN 2 Pontianak for participant which has taken by purposive sampling technique. The 4 problems on essay test used in this research. Based of the results, problem solving skills of the student is 21.33% on low category and 69% on high category respectively on pretest and posttest. It improved on medium category with N-gain score 0.607. Wilcoxon test showed significant difference of problem solving skills after momentum and impulse learning with problem solving strategy. The effectivity of this strategy in improving problem solving skills is 6,12 (high level). The results of this study are expected to be an alternative in an effort to improve the physics? problem solving skills of the student using problem solving strategy. Keywords:  problem solving strategy, physics? problem solving skill, momentum and impulse

Abstract

Abstrak: This study aimed to determine the effectiviness of Experiment Method to remediate misconceptions in fluid statics at MAN 2 Filial Pontianak. The method used is Pre Experimental Design with One Group pretest post test design. Data taken from the students of class XI IPA selected intact group. The sample was 30 students. Data collection tool in the form of 18 multiple choice questions with three alternative answers and the reasons open. Based on the analysis of data obtained The average percentage decrease in number of students who have misconceptions of 43.7%. Based on McNemar test calculations obtained an average χ2Compute () ˃χ2Table (3.84) for db = 1 and α = 5%, then the overall conception significant changes after remediated using  experiment method. DQM effectiveness calculations obtained 71,71% (high category), the remediation using experiment method effective in addressing misconceptions learners. Keywords: Misconception, Remediation,  Experiment Method, Fluid Statics.

Abstract

 AbstractThis research aims to reveal profile, the  percentage and find out the causes of students having difficulty in solving about work and energy. Research conducted at SMPN 12 Pontianak with research subjects wAere 73 students. Data collected by the test essay and interviews. The analysis data technic that did was Miles and Huberman. The results show that students' difficulties are divided into 5 according to the Heller problem solving stages. (1) Difficulty of visualize the problems experienced by students was 95.62%. The cause is because students do not know to draw sketches on the problems. (2) The difficulty of physics description experienced by students was 55.06%. The cause is lack of understanding of the problem given. (3) The difficulty of the plan a solution experienced by students was 47.12%. The cause is lack of understanding of the concept used. (4) While the difficulty of execute the plan experienced by students was 52.06%. Because it is wrong to write down and be asked, it causes students to have difficulty carrying out the plan. (5) And difficulties check and evaluate was 53.43%. The cause is because the students are less careful in checking the answers.Keywords: analysis difficulty, problem solving Heller, work and energy

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of Think Pair Square (TPSq) learning model application assisted by animation in remediating students? misconception about rotational dynamics in Grade XI MAN 2 Pontianak. Method of research that is used is pre-experimental design with one group pre-test post-test design. Data was collected by using multiple choice test which consists of three alternative choices completed by reasons with 8 questions. The sample of this study is 36 students of XI IPA 1 which are chosen randomly by using Intact Group technique. Based on data analysis, the average of misconception?s reduction percentage that is got is 44.44% in each concept. Based on Mc Nemar test calculation and continued by Chi Squared test, identified that the average value of , with an average value of  = 26.57. It means that there is significant change of misconception in rotational motion concept. Based on the effect size calculation, the score of ES = 0,485 (medium categorized). Therefore the using of Think Pair Square learning model assisted by animation can remediate student?s misconception about dynamic effectively.Hopefully this study can be used as an alternative to remediate student?s misconceptions. Keywords: Misconception, Think Pair Square, Animation

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas simulasi flash untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi pemantulan cahaya di SMP Negeri 20 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pre-experimental design tipe one group pre-test post-test design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A berjumlah 31 siswa yang diambil dengan teknik intact grup. Alat pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes diagnostik berupa pilihan ganda yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik Certainty of Response Index termodifikasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terjadi penurunan miskonsepsi sebesar 23,04%. Dari perhitungan effect size Cohen’s d diperoleh d =1,156 (kategori tinggi). Perhitungan effect size untuk indikator soal dihitung dengan rumus harga proporsi, diperoleh 5 indikator soal mempunyai efektivitas tinggi, 1 indikator soal mempunyai efektivitas sedang, dan 1 indikator soal tidak efektif. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa simulasi flash efektif digunakan dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi pemantulan cahaya. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu guru untuk mengurangi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi pelajaran fisika. Kata Kunci: Miskonsepsi, Pemantulan Cahaya, Simulasi Flash Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of flash simulation to remedied students misconceptions on light reflection in grade VIII SMP Negeri 20 Pontianak. The method of this study was a pre-experimental design by used one group pre-test post-test design. The study sample were 31 students of VIII A grade have chosen by intact group technique. The technique of data collection was multiple choice of diacnostic test by used modification Certainty of Response Index analysis. The result of analysis showed that misconceptions were 23,04% falling. The result of the cohen’s d effect size  calculation was 1,156 (high category). Effect size calculation of test indicator calculated by proportion value; 5 test indicator had high effectiveness, 1 test indicator had medium effectiveness, and 1 test indicator was not effective. It showed that flash simulation was effective for remedied student misconception of light reflection. This study expected to support teachers to reduced the student misconceptions of physics lesson subject. Keywords: Misconceptions, Light Reflection, Flash Simulation

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap tanggungjawab belajar dan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa pada materi Fungsi Logaritma di kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 3 Singkawang yang menerapkan Engaged Learning Strategy. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experiment (Eksperimen Semu) dengan rancangan one-group pre-test post-test design, dimana kemampuan koneksi matematis 37 siswa dalam pembelajaran diukur sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran yang menerapkan Engaged Learning Strategy. Dalam penelitian ini siswa yang memiliki tanggung jawab belajar dicirikan dengan 4 indikator yaitu (1) Inisiatif, otonomi dan kendali belajar (2) Berpartisipasi Aktif, (3) Orientasi Positif terhadap Sekolah, (4) Manajemen Sumber Belajar. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan secara umum tanggung jawab belajar siswa meningkat sebesar 6 % dimana peningkatan terbesar adalah indikator Berpartisipasi Aktif. Sedangkan untuk kemampuan koneksi matematis dibatasi dalam penelitian ini hanya untuk koneksi dengan kehidupan sehari-hari dan antar konsep matematika. Secara keseluruhan kemampuan koneksi matematis mengalami peningkatan skor ratarata sebesar 1,5%.Kata Kunci : Engaged Learning Strategy, Tanggung Jawab Belajar, Koneksi MatematisAbstract : This study aims to investigate the responsibility of learning and the mathematical connections of students XIPA at SMAN 3 Singkawang learning that apply Engaged Learning Strategy. The study method is Quasi Experiment with one-group pre-test post-test design, where the learning responsibility and mathematical connections of 37 students are measured before and after applying Engaged Learning. In this study, students who have the learning responsibility characterized by four indicators: (1) Have initiative, autonomy and control of learning (2) Active Participation, (3) Have a positive orientation towards school, (4) Management of Learning Resources. The results showed that the learning responsibility has increased by 6% with largest contributions occurred in the Active Participation. As for the mathematical connections is limited in this study only for : (1) to connect with everyday life and (2) to connect between mathematical concepts. Overall the mathematical connections average scores increased of 1.5%.Keywords : Engaged Learning Strategy, Learning Responsibility, Mathematical Connections

Abstract

AbtrakThis study aim to analysis about students error the solved line motion question physic at SMK Negeri 02 Pontianak. The from of this research was a suruey methed. The participant of this research consist of 32 students thet selected with purposive sampling technigue. In this research, the researcher were used essay test which consested of 5 guestion to measure students errors in filling out the guestion. Obtained of students errors in filling out the guestion in material rectilinear motion was 75,782% and the percentege of students  ruis under standing was 85,417%. To find out the relationship both were used the product moment corelation. The result showed that found a negatiut relationship means that it the variable (x = 5,705406) hasincreased then the variable (y = 2,042) has decreased with a correlation coefficient -0,87 strong/hias category. The relationship between the two was significart that is t count > t table tabel = 5,705406 > 2,042, with a significant level 5% and dk = 30. The result of this research was the teacher expected to pay attentron to the students skills, so that can improved in the learning procest.Keywords : Students Errors In Filling Out The Guestion, Rectilinear Motion.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was intended to create interactive multimedia  with multirepresentation approach to gain study result of student class X MIPA at SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak on the concept of Archimedes theory equipped with using manual. The method of research that was applied in this research was developmental research with procedural model which referred to research and development of Borg and Gall. There were 62 students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak who took part in this research. The study result of concept of Archimedes theory was shown by the increasing numbers of students who could solve problem related to Archimedes theory. The problem solving was shown by giving test about concept of Archimedes theory to students to be done precisely. The concept of Archimedes theory used in this research was comparing the mass of an object in the air and water, sinking event, floating event and flying event. Based on the research result there was significant increasing of study result of students in doing test for all indicators, that was 53.45%. In conclusion, interactive multimedia with multirepresentation approach was effective to decrease the numbers of students who could not solve problem on the concept of Archimedes theory. Keywords: development, interactive multimedia, multirepresentation, study result, Archimedes theory Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan multimedia interaktif pendekatan multirepresentasi untuk perolehan belajar pebelajar kelas X MIPA di SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak pada konsep hukum Archimedes dilengkapi dengan buku panduan penggunaannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian pengembangan dengan model prosedural dengan berpedoman kepada penelitian dan pengembangan Borg and Gall. Sebanyak 62 pebelajar kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Perolehan belajar konsep hukum Archimedes ditunjukkan dengan semakin banyaknya pebelajar yang dapat memecahkan masalah-masalah berkaitan dengan hukum Archimedes. Pemecahan masalah ditunjukkan dengan cara memberikan soal-soal konsep hukum Archimedes untuk diselesaikan dengan betul oleh pebelajar. Konsep Hukum Archimedes yang digunakan yaitu membandingkan berat benda di udara dan di air, peristiwa tenggelam, peristiwa mengapung dan peristiwa melayang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terjadi perubahan perolehan belajar pebelajar yang signifikan dalam menyelesaikan soal untuk semua indikator soal tes, yaitu sebesar 53,45 %. Dengan demikian, multimedia interaktif pendekatan multirepresentasi efektif untuk mengurangi jumlah pebelajar yang tidak dapat memecahkan masalah pada konsep hukum Archimedes.   Kata kunci: Pengembangan, Multimedia Interaktif, Multirepresentasi, Perolehan Belajar, Hukum Archimedes

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penurunan jumlah siswa  yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi tekanan setelah diremediasi di SMP Negeri 20 Pontianak menggunakan strategi quantum teaching dengan kerangka TANDUR. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimental design dengan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest design. Alat pengumpul data berupa tes diagnostik berbentuk two tier test yang terdiri dari 6 soal. Penelitian ini melibatkan 31 orang siswa kelas VIIIF sebagai sampel yang dipilih dengan teknik intact group. Berdasarkan hasil bentuk miskonsepsi siswa tertinggi saat pre-test yaitu pada hukum Archimedes (48,38%). Sedangkan bentuk miskonsepsi siswa tertinggi saat post-test yaitu pada tekanan hidrostatis (45,16%). Dari hasil perhitungan rata-rata jumlah persentase penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 1,61%. Strategi quantum teaching dengan kerangka TANDUR diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa. Kata Kunci : Miskonsepsi, Remediasi, Quantum Teaching, TANDUR Abstract:This research is to determine the decreasing of students?number which getting misconception on pressure topic after remediation in SMP Negeri 20 Pontianak by using quantum teaching strategy with TANDUR framework. The method of this research is pre-eksperimental design with one gruop pretest-postest design. The instrument is collected by using diagnostic test in two-tier-test  form wich consist of six questions. The sampel of this research is 31 students of VIIIF grade which choosen by using intact group tecnique. Based on the result of misconception the highest score of students in the indicator of Archimedes law pretest (48,38%). But in postest the highest score of students in the indicator of hidrostatis pressure (45,16%). The precentage of the average score (1,61%) in the decrease of students who got misconception. Finally, the quantum teaching strategy with TANDUR framework can be used as an alternative to give the remediation of students who got misconception.
