Abstract

  AbstractThe research aims to analyze the kinds of student’s error, to calculate the percentage of student errors and to find the cause of the student's error in resolving the problem of expansion. The form of research is descriptive research. The samples in this research were 41 students in VII grade in SMP Kemala Bhayangkari. The Instrument to Collect data in this research is an essay test  and interview. The analysis data techniques using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this research were 3.52% of students experienced concept error, 15.04% of students experienced errors in writing symbols, 20.73% of students experienced calculate errors and 33.74% of students experienced unit errors. The cause of the student's error is that students experience misconceptions, forget, inadvertence, difficult to counting on numbers that have multiple numbers behind a comma, do not know how to convert the right unit and unit to the answer. Based on the explanation of student of the causes of student errors in resolving the problem, it is hoped that it will be the base for the teachers and the next researchers to improve student learning outcomes especially in grade VII on the expansion lesson. Keywords: Cause of Error, Descriptive Research, Kinds of error, Percentage of error, Problem of Expansion,

Abstract

AbstractThis pre-experimental study aims to investigate the implementation of the delay feedback strategy using video tutorials to remediate students' misconceptions of parabolic motion material in Seponti 1 High School.  The sample of this study was the students of 11th grade Science 1  who were selected using the intact group technique based on the class with the lowest learning outcomes (pre-test).  A diagnostic test consisting of 20 multiple choice questions with open reasoning is used as a research instrument to determine students' conceptions.  Based on the results, the highest number of students' misconceptions at pre-test (95.23%) and post-test (38.09%) is on the concept of analyzing the time (t) of free fall simultaneously with different trajectories.  The average decrease in the number of students' misconceptions per concept was 41.36%.  Students' conceptions changed significantly (; ; ) after being given remediation learning. The price of the proportion  that the students obtained was 0.516 (classified as medium).  Delay feedback strategies using video tutorials are expected to be used as an alternative to remediation activities to improve students' misconceptions. Keywords: Delay Feedback Strategies, Misconceptions, Parabolic Motion, Remediation, Video Tutorials

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran learning cycle 3E dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi fluida statis di MAN Sintang. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental design dengan rancangan one group pre-test post-test design. Sampel penelitian ini ialah siswa kelas XII IPA 1 yang terdiri dari 24 orang yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil, profil miskonsepsi siswa tertinggi saat pre-test yaitu pada konsep tekanan hidrostatis (58,3%). Sedangkan profil miskonsepsi siswa tertinggi saat post-test yaitu pada konsep terapung dan melayang (33,3%). Penurunan rata-rata miskonsepsi tiap indikator soal adalah 41,2%. Berdasarkan perhitungan, diperoleh effect size cohen’s rata-rata sebesar 2,06. Maka  remediasi  menggunakan pembelajaran  learning cycle 3E  efektif  untuk  memperbaiki miskonsepsi siswa pada materi fluida statis. Model learning cycle 3E dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh siswa. Kata Kunci: Remediasi, Miskonsepsi, Learning Cycle 3E , Fluida Statis Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the 3E learning cycle in remediating students’ misconceptions in static fluid material at MAN Sintang. This study was a pre-experimental design with one group pre-test post-test. The Sample of this research was students of XII IPA 1 consisting of 24 students selected by purposive sampling technique. Based on the results, the highest students’ misconceptions in pre-test was that the concept of hydrostatic pressure (58.3%). While the highest students’ misconceptions during the post-test was that the concept float and drift (33.3%). The average decrease of misconceptions for each indicators were 41.2%. Based on the obtained calculation, the average Cohen's effect size is 2.06. Therefore, remediation using 3E learning cycle was effective to improve students’ misconceptions in the static fluid. The learning model cycle 3E can be implemented  into use as an alternative to remediate the misconceptions experienced by students. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk   model pembelajaran tematik dengan menggunakan media power point dan mistar hitung. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, teknik dan alat pengumpul data yang dipergunakan adalah: wawancara, observasi langsung serta dokumentasi. Informasi yang digali dari sumber data langsung melalui percakapan atau tanya jawab yang sifatnya mendalam,  karena untuk mengeksplorasi informasi secara holistik dan jelas dari informan tersebut. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pemanfaatan media power point dan mistar hitung dalam pembelajaran tematik untuk perolehan hasil belajar matematika  di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 10  Toho. Analisis perolehan hasil belajar dengan menggunakan korelasi product moment diperoleh koefisien validitas (rxy) = 0,74. Nilai koefisien validitas 0,74 ditafsirkan validitas tinggi. Dengan demikian Perolehan hasil belajar matematika dengan menggunakan media power point dan mistar hitung dalam pembelajaran tematik di dalam penelitian ini mempunyai pengaruh yang sangat signifikan, serta menjadikan pembelajaran lebih bermakna. Kata Kunci : Pembelajaran tematik, power point dan mistar hitung Abstract: This research aims to describe and analyze thematic instruction model by using the power point and slide rule. The approach use was descriptive qualitative research, while techniques and data collection tool were: interview, direct observation and doumentation. The informaation was extracted from the data sources directly thraught in-depth conversation to explore information holistically and clearly of informants.            The research conducted on the utilization of power point and slide rule in thematic intruction to acquire mathematics learning outcomes in class IV of State Elementary School 10 Toho. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi perpindahan kalor melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS). Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Bunut Hulu di kelas VII dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 25 siswa.  Alat pengumpul data berupa tes essay, pengisian angket dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rat-rata hasil belajar pada siklus I sebesar 68,46 dengan ketuntasan 65,38% dan pada siklus II sebesar 73,84 dengan ketuntasan sebesar 73,07%. Sedangkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 73,03% dengan interprestasi skor tergolong kuat dan siklus II sebesar 81,15% dengan interprestasi skor tergolong sangat kuat. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) dapat meningkatkan hasil dan motivasi belajar siswa pada materi perpindahan kalor. Kata Kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe TPS.   Abstract: A classroom action research is to purpose improving the student motivation and cooperative learning process in material heat transfer through Think Pair Share (TPS) strategy. The subject of this research is at eleventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Bunut Hulu consist of 25 students. Tools of collecting data are essay test, questionnaire, and observation checklist. The result of the research it shown from the average of cycle test I was 68,46 with completeness 65,38% and in cycle II 73,84 with completeness 73,07%. While the students learning motivation increase in cycle I 73,03% with score interpretation is strength and cycle II 81,15% with score interpretation very strength. Based on the result, it can conclude that cooperative learning  Think Pair Share (TPS) strategy can improve student learning outcomes and motivation on heat transfer materials. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada perkuliahan laboratorium fisika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain one group pretest - postest yang dilaksanakan di semester V B pendidikan fisika FKIP Untan tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan metode purpossive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes awal dan tes akhir untuk hasil belajar, lembar observasi untuk mengamati keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, angket untuk menggali respon mahasiswa terhadap implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata N-gain 0,67 kategori tinggi. Mahasiswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada perkuliahan laboratorium fisika dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar  mahasiswa. Kata kunci : pembelajaran berbasis proyek, laboratorium fisika Abstract: This study aimed to acquire data about the implementation of project-based learning on physics laboratory course. Quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest method was used in this research that involved students who took physics laboratory course selected with purposive sampling. The instruments were designed to elicit data; pretest and posttest used for students’ achievement, observation sheet used for learning activities, and questionnaire was for students’ response of the implementation of the learning. The results show that the N-gain is 0,67 (high level). In addition, students provided positive response for the learning implemented. Thus, this learning can enhance students’ achievement. Abstract

    AbstractThe purpose of this research is to find out the effect of discovery learning towards students’ learning result about vibration  in class XI SMK Negeri 2 Pontianak. It is a quasi experimental with the design of  non-equivalent control group design. There are 25 students of class XI TEI A as the control class and 26 students of class XI TOI as the experiment class and are determined with  purposive sampling. Based on scoring test, average score of the posttest from experiment class is obtained as 73,43, higher than control class with the average of 61,28. Based on the U-Mann Whitney test result, the sig value of 0,000>0,05, that means the Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a sig to the model of discovery learning. An effect size of 1,08 is obtained belonging to category high, its mean that the discovery learning model is effective towards scoring test about vibration in class XI SMK Negeri 2 Pontianak according to Coe.Keywords: Discovery Learning, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai pengaruh pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak Kota Pontianak Provinsi Kalimantan Barat.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian randomized pretest-posttest comparison group design. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antar pretest dan postest, yakni menggunakan pendekatan saintifik (pretest : 61,78% ; postest :69,33 %) dan menggunakan pendekatan CTL (pretest 58,50  % ; postes 65,89 %). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa menggunakan pendekatan saintifik lebih besar daripada kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan contextual teaching and learning dan kontribusi pendekatan saintifik terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa tergolong sedang. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Saintifik, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis. Abstract : This research aims to obtain information about the effect of instruction using scientific approach on the improvement of mathematical problem solving ability among students of State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 13 Pontianak, West Kalimantan. The method used in this research was experiment research with a randomized pretest-posttest comparison group design. The results of data analysis showed that there were significant differences between the pretest and the posttest, namely using the scientific approach (pretest: 61.78%; posttest: 69.3 3%) and using CTL approach (pretest 58.50%; posttest 65.89%). This suggests that the improvement of the students’ ability in the mathematical problem solving using scientific approach is higher than the ability in the mathematical problem solving using contextual teaching and learning, and the improvement of the students’ ability is classified as moderate. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil dan motivasi belajar siswa di kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak pada materi getaran dan gelombang dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle 6E berbantuan mind map. Penelitian ini  dilakukan di kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak dengan jumlah 35 siswa. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan persentase hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 5,71% dengan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 71,43% dan siklus II sebesar 77,14%. Sedangkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 5,88% dengan perolehan motivasi belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 77,22% dengan interprestasi kuat dan siklus II sebesar 83,10% dengan interprestasi skor sangat kuat.   Kata kunci: Hasil belajar, motivasi, mind map, learning cycle 6E   Abstract: The aims of this research are to improve the student learning outcomes and motivation of students class VIII B SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak on the material of vibrations and waves for implementation learning cycle 6E with mind map assisted. This research is classroom action research (PTK) carried out in two cycles (planning, action, observation and reflection). 35 students from VIII B SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak participated in learning process. From the result showed increasing of students learning outcomes from the first cycle to second cycle at 5.71%  of student learning outcomes in the first cycle of 71.43% and 77.14% for the second cycle. While the increasing in student motivation from the first cycle to the second cycle by 5,88% with the acquisition of student motivation first cycle of 77.22% with a strong interpretation and the second cycle of 83.10% with a score of very strong interpretation.   Keyword: Learning outcomes, motivation, mind map, learning cycle 6E

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to find out the effectiveness of leaflet to improve SMP Negeri 1 Siantan students’ misconception on Archimedes principle. The method used in this research was a one-group pretest-posttest. Data collection instrument of this research was in form of multiple choice tests without reason. This research involved 31 students from VIII A as the sample which selected through intact group, which is the whole sampling based on a group of population. From 31 students who followed remediation, the result showed decreasing percentage of students misconception in all indicators by 73%. Based on McNemar test calculate, obtained  in all indicators of 36.54 then χ2 hitung> χ2tabel caused that there was a significant conceptual change. The effect size was 1.40 (classified high) according to Hattie (2009). This research was expected to be used by teachers as an alternative to improve students' misconception on Archimedes' principle.Keywords: Remediation, Misconceptions, Leaflet, Archimedes principle
