Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara empiris, sejauh mana gagasan Ki Hadjar Dewantara lebih khusus mengenai ekosistem persekolahan, hukuman, guru dan gender mendapatkan ruang implementasi di SDN 61 Kota Timur Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi pendidikan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu: observasi partispatif, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa gagasan Ki Hadjar Dewantara belum terprogram secara khusus di sekolah, karena gagasan dan profil Ki Hadjar Dewantara lebih diperlakukan sebagai momen tahunan melalui upacara Hari Pendidikan Nasional dan seremoni serupa lainnya. Secara empiris, gagasan Ki Hadjar Dewantara belum terinternalisasi memadai untuk menambah wawasan mengenai praktik pendidikan di sekolah dasar. Di SDN 61 Kota Timur, upaya-upaya untuk menjalankan gagasan Ki Hadjar Dewantara telah dikerjakan. Dalam hubungannya dengan atmosfer persekolahan, sangat dipengaruhi oleh kebijakan, hubungan timbal balik yang produktif, antara orang tua, sekolah dan masyarakat. Di bagian hukuman, guru punya cara sendiri, hanya saja sebagaimana yang telah dianjurkan oleh Ki Hadjar Dewantara bahwa menghukum harus selaras dengan kesalahan, mempertimbangkan keadilan dan dilakukan dengan segera. Mengenai guru dan gender, penerapannya sangat situasional, tetapi berkembang pandangan bahwa lebih baik yang mengajar di kelas rendah (1, 2 dan 3) yaitu guru perempuan.

Abstract

Kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat merupakan bagian penting yang dapat mempengaruhi peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Hal ini terjadi karena ekonomi sangat penting dalam mendukung terselenggaranya pembelajaran dan peningkatan mutu pendidikan yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktualisasi, kendala dan strategi yang dilakukan dalam dalam aktualisasi pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis sosial ekonomi danau Limboto pada kelas V Sekolah Dasar di kawasan danau Limboto. Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktualisasi pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis sosial ekonomi danau limboto pada tema tentang lingkungan telah dilaksanakan yang didesain melalui perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan guru secara kontinue dan konsisten, kendala yang dihadapi dalam aktualisasi pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis sosial ekonomi danau Limboto pada tema lingkungan adalah kemampuan siswa yang kurang baik dalam memahami materi yang diajarkan, kurang adanya motivasi orang tua untuk mendorong anaknya belajar, siswa yang jarang masuk sekolah karena membantu pekerjaan orang tuanya dan strategi yang dilakukan dalam mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi dalam aktualisasi pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis sosial ekonomi danau limboto pada tema yaitu dengan melakukan pendekatan persuasif kepada orang tua agar mereka mengurangi porsi pekerjaan siswa dan memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk belajar pada saat hari sekolah. Dalam konteks yang bersamaan guru melakukan home visit untuk melihat aktivitas yang dilakukan siswa di rumah. Guru mendampingi agar dapat belajar dengan baik dan memahami materi yang telah disampaikan dalam kegiatan tatap muka di sekolah. The socio-economic condition of the community is an important part that can affect the improvement of the quality of education. This happens because the economy is very important in supporting the implementation of effective learning and improving the quality of education. This is qualitative study which aims to know the actualization, constraints, and strategies carried out in the actualization of contextual learning based on the socio-economics of Lake Limboto in grade V of Elementary Schools in the Lake Limboto area. The data collection technique uses observation, interview, and documentation, and data analysis technique uses qualitative analysis. The finding show that the actualization of contextual learning based on the socio-economics of Lake Limboto on the environmental theme has been carried out, which is designed through planning, implementation, and evaluation done by teachers continuously and consistently. Constraints faced in the actualization of contextual learning based on the socio-economics of Lake Limboto on the environmental theme are the students’ poor ability to understand the material being taught, the lack of parental motivation to encourage their children to learn, and the lack of students’ attendace at school because of helping parents work. The strategy used to overcome the constraints above is to take persuasive approach to parents so that they reduce the portion is assisting their work and provide opportunities student of study during school day. At the same time, the teachers conduct a home visit to see the students’ activities at home. The teachers accompany students so that they can learn well and understand the material that has been delivered in face-to-face activities at school.

Abstract

Learning media in grade VI at SDN 4 Batudaa, Gorontalo Regency, is still lacking in the learning process. This fact is from the beginning of the social science learning process and the 2013 curiculum supporting books in grade VI. This causes the learning not to run properly due to the lack of learning media in the learning process. Th research is aims to develop ASEAN Smart Games Monopoly Media to increase the Global Insights of student in grade VI of SDN 4 Batudaa, Gorontalo Regency. This study is a research an development (R&D) that uses the thiagarajan procedure. There are assessments of media expert, language experts, material experts, student, and classroom teacher. This data collection techniques include questionnaires, interviews, document studies, and documentation. Based on the result, it obtains a product with a media expert assessment of 86,5 %; linguist by 89%; material experts by 98,6% with the “ very feasible”criteria. Then the product is tested. The student product trial gained 76,83% and the teacher’s response 96,5%. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the ASEAN smart games monopoly media is very feasible to be used in learning at SDN 4 Batudaa, Gorontalo Regency.

Abstract

Penyalahgunaan Narkotika dan obat-obatan berbahaya (NARKOBA) di Indonesia semakin marak setiap tahunnya dan sampai saat ini masih menjadi masalah nasional dan bangsa yang belum dapat diatasi secara maksimal. Penyalahgunaan NARKOBA, bukan hanya merambah di wilayah kota-kota besar saja, tetapi Narkoba telah menyebar keseluruh lapisan masyarakat, termasuk di desa-desa. Keberadaan NARKOBA mengancam masa depan umat manusia, di samping sebagai penyakit ganas itu, dari waktu kewaktu penggunaan dan peyalahgunaan narkoba mengalami peningkatan, baik dari aspek kualitas maupun kuantitasnya (Badan Narkotika Nasional dan Pusat Penelitian Pranata Pembangunan, UI, 2003; Kemendes PDT,2014) Masalah penyalahgunaan narkoba yang sangat kompleksi ini tetap menuntut penanganan secara komprehensif dan terpadu, dengan partisipasi aktif dari masyarakat baik secara individu maupun kelompok yang mempunyai potensi membantu generasi muda mencegah penyalahgunaan NARKOBA (Gono,2007). Abstract

Unbalanced teacher distribution, limitations of learning media, incomplete library book so there are not many students who are interested in literacy, the lack of educators and educational labor, the teacher’s quality also is an important issue in 3T area. (Education and Culture Policy Research Center, Kemdikbud, 2013). This results in the quality of learning very low and need to find the right solution effectively. The use of the right technology is a solution to improve the learning quality in 3T areas and unravel the educational gap that still exists between regions where they occur. A combination of a self-study platform (SSP) and solar cells is designed to enhance the learning quality of 3T areas because it is equipped with various learning materials that use fun methods and media. This research is used two research approaches, namely qualitative and quantitative, qualitative approach is done by using the sociology approach and collective memory analysis (Berg, 2007; Biernacki, 2005; Zerubavel, 2003; Nash, 2001). Quantitative approach is used to analyze the data required by schools in the 3T area. The aims in this research are to produce the reconstruction of teacher’s experience, school documents, learning reference to increase the learning quality. In addition, to see the relation of the concept that has been developed to improve the learning quality in 3T region school. Self-Study Platform (SSP) Based Solar is a platform designed to be used offline and allow students to learn themselves by choosing the material that wants to be learned or that has been arranged by the teachers to study. SSP also considers the students learning style by audio, visual, and audio visual because the features in it are equipped based on the student learning need. Learning content via SSP can be designed by the teacher, practitioners of education or other teachers from various regions, and being put in SSP to be studied by students in other areas in general or in 3T region where the SSP is provided. The limitations of electricity flow in 3T area are no longer an obstacle because it can take advantage of solar cell. Self-Study Platform (SSP) based Solar is a platform that can bridge the intensity of systemic relations and synergy between teachers, students, learning situation, and learning media in producing optimal processes and learning results in accordance with the curricular terms, especially in the 3T area that has not been handled.

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance students' learning outcomes through the Scramble model assisted by Dienes Block media on adding whole numbers in Class I at SDN 16 Tibawa. In the meantime, this research employed a classroom action research design with the subjects of 21 students in Class I. Based on the results from the cycle 1, 13 students, or 62%, achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria (MMC). These results did not meet the expected success indicators, prompting a continuation of cycle II. In the cycle II, 19 students, or 91%, achieved the MMC. This result met the success indicator set at 75%, representing a 29% improvement. It could be concluded that the Scramble model assisted by Dienes Block media could enhance students' learning outcomes by adding whole numbers in Class I at SDN 16 Tibawa.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Determine the form of local wisdom in SDN 7 Batudaa, 2) Determine the strategy of instilling character based on local wisdom in SDN 7 Batudaa. 3) Determine the implementation of instilling character based on local wisdom in SDN 7 Batudaa. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The data sources in this study are: (1) Principal, Vice Principal for Curriculum (3) Civics Teacher (4) Students. Data collection techniques use observation, documentation and questionnaires. Data analysis used is thematic analysis. The results of the study show (1) The form of local wisdom developed in SDN 7 Batudaa is diverse, including regional arts such as traditional dances such as the tidi lo maluo dance, local regional languages, community mutual cooperation to the love of local culinary. 2) The strategy in instilling character based on local wisdom in SDN 7 Batudaa is by providing supporting facilities, inviting tutors from outside to train students to be able to dance regional dances. Then cooperate with parents and the local community. 3) Implementation of local wisdom in instilling character values ​​in students at SDN 7 Batudaa, namely discipline, mutual respect and protecting nature so that it is not damaged because local wisdom is knowing and loving cultural heritage, both natural cultural heritage, human resource heritage and as a marker of communication identity.

Abstract

This research aims to describe management aspects and learning transition strategies from high school to college. This research uses library study or content analysis methods. The results of this study indicate that managing a successful transition from high school to college is critical to students' academic success, especially in the first year. Various studies show that many students are less prepared to study at university and experience obstacles, especially in the aspect of learning adjustment. The gap not only occurs in the secondary school system which does not fully prepare its students to enter college, but colleges also do not have the equipment to accommodate students from secondary schools. To make the transition from high school to college, students need to make adjustments and be supported by the people and systems in their environment. From the aspect of students who will become students, they need to prepare three separate stages in the transition process, namely: separation/separation, transition/transition and merger/merger. From the aspect of higher education, it is necessary to prepare strategies, programs and services to facilitate the transition for students who will enter college. This article reviews the results of a collection of literature regarding management and successful strategies implemented in various countries in facilitating learning from high school to university. The purpose of this literature review is to produce recommendations and considerations that can be used as guidelines for students, parents and universities involved in transition to manage the transition well and successfully.

Abstract

The research problem in this study is: “Can the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Wordwall media improve students’ learning activity in the IPAS subject for Grade V at SDN No. 43 Hulontalangi, Gorontalo City?” This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. Data collection techniques included observation and documentation. The subjects of this study were the fifth-grade students of SDN No. 43 Hulontalangi, Gorontalo City. The results showed that after implementing the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Wordwall media, students’ learning activity improved. In Cycle I, the first meeting reached 47.62%, and in the second meeting, it increased to 56.92%. In Cycle II, the first meeting showed an increase to 80.95%, and the second meeting reached 94.16%. Thus, the overall learning activity completeness increased from 52.87% in Cycle I to 91.55% in Cycle II, showing an improvement of 44.68%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Wordwall media effectively enhances students’ learning activity in the IPAS subject for Grade V at SDN No. 43 Hulontalangi, Gorontalo City. ABSTRAKRumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah “Apakah model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan media Wordwall dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS kelas V di SDN No. 43 Hulontalangi Kota Gorontalo?”. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi dan dokumentasi. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN 43 Hulontalangi Kota Gorontalo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan media wordwall pada aktivitas belajar siswa kelas V SDN No. 43 Hulontalangi Kota Gorontalo meningkat. Pada siklus I pertemuan 1 memperoleh persentase 47,62%. Pada siklus I pertemuan 2 terjadi sebesar 56,92% dan pada siklus II  pertemuan 1 aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat sebanyak 80,95%. Dan pada siklus II pertemuan 2 meningkat sebanyak 94,16%. Maka, ketuntasan aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 52,87% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 91,55%. Jadi dari siklus I ke siklus II aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat sebanyak 44,68%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan media Wordwall aktivitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS kelas V SDN no. 43 Hulontalangi Kota Gorontalo meningkat.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects through the application of the Role Playing method. The Role Playing method was chosen because it is considered effective in improving students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills, as well as motivating students to actively participate in the learning process. This research uses an experimental method with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of two fifth classes in an elementary school, namely an experimental class taught using the Role Playing method and a control class taught using conventional methods. Data was collected through student learning outcomes tests before and after treatment. Data were analyzed using the t-test to compare the differences in average learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. The research results showed that there was a significant difference between the learning outcomes of experimental class and control class students after the Role Playing method was applied. The average learning outcomes of experimental class students increased significantly compared to the control class. In conclusion, the Role Playing method is effective in improving the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students in science and science subjects. This research recommends that teachers can apply the Role Playing method in science learning to increase students' understanding and interest in learning.
