Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of literacy activities, obstacles, and efforts made by schools in increasing elementary school students' interest in reading. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with the research subjects being the principal, teachers and students of grade 5 SD Islam Terpadu Al Ghazali Palangka Raya. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusions. Based on the data obtained, it shows that: (1) The literacy culture applied in schools plays an important role in students' interest in reading, (2) The lack of infrastructure owned by schools is an obstacle in literacy activities.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the real action of the Reading and Learning center “Ransel Buku” Center to increase children's love of books and literacy activities in Petuk Katimpun Village, Jekan Raya District, Central Kalimantan Province so that it can become an inspiration and motivation for readers to actively participate in foster and promote a love of books and literacy activities for the community, especially for children in the surrounding environment. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. The data collection method in this study was the interview method, namely by conducting a dialogue with the founder of the Reading and Learning center “Ransel Buku” and making direct and indirect observations. From the results of the data obtained, it can be concluded that Reading and Learning center “Ransel Buku” from its inception to today has provided real action in fostering children's love of books and literacy activities. This can be seen from the various activities carried out such as book reading activities, teaching and learning activities, “Ransel Buku” boat, and many others. In addition, the number of reading books available in Reading and Learning “Ransel Buku” ack has reached 8,000 book titles. The Reading and Learning center“Ransel Buku” has won many awards both at the provincial and national levels.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ecranization of Rweinda's Antares novel into the Antares film directed by Rizal Mantovani, namely in the form of shrinking, adding, and varying changes. This research is limited to ecranization analysis of intrinsic elements (plot, characters, and setting). Therefore, this study will describe: (1) the ecranization of Rweinda's novel Antares in the film Antares directed by Rizal Mantovani, (2) the ecranization of the addition of the novel Antares by Rweinda into the film Antares directed by Rizal Mantovani, and (3) the ecranization of changes varies from the novel Antares by Rweinda to the film Antares directed by Rizal Mantovani. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The subject of this research is a novel entitled Antares by Rweinda and the film Antares directed by Rizal Mantovani. Data collection procedures in this study used reading techniques, viewing techniques, and note-taking techniques.

Abstract

The aims of this study were (1) to describe the types of figurative language that are contained in the Anthology of Teacher's Poems about a Book and the Secrets of Knowledge; and (2) describe the implications for learning literature in high school. This research approach is descriptive qualitative, in line with the findings of the study, namely in the form of a description of the types of figurative language repetition in the Anthology of Teacher's Poetry about a Book and the Secrets of Knowledge and their implications for learning literature in high school. This type of research is qualitative, because the data findings are not obtained by statistical calculations (quantitative) but in the form of phrases, clauses and sentences contained in the Anthology of Teacher's Poems about a Book and Secrets of Knowledge. The results of this study show the following data, namely (1) the figurative language of repetition contained in the Teacher's Poetry Anthology of a Book and the Secret of Knowledge is a repetition of alliteration type of figure of speech consisting of nine quotations, the alliteration figure of speech in these quotations gives rise to an aesthetic impression of the poem. The figure of speech of repetition of the mesodiplosis type has one quote, the figure of speech of mesodiplosis in these quotations emphasizes the meaning of the poem. The figure of speech of repetition which is the type of repetition of five quotations, the figure of speech of repetition in these quotations raises the affirmation of meaning and adds to the aesthetics of the poem. The figure of speech of repetition of the epistrofa type has three quotations. the figure of speech of epistropha in these quotations raises the affirmation of the meaning of the poem, thus the dominant form of repetition used in the Anthology of Guru's Poetry About a Book and the Secrets of Knowledge is a form of repetition of the alliteration type. (2) The implications of the analysis of figurative language in the book Anthology of Teacher Poems About a Book and Secrets of Knowledge for the learning of literature in high school can provide an understanding of the types of figurative language of repetition in a poem. These implications can be used as additional teaching materials to improve students' ability to understand the building blocks of a poem while at the same time creating a work of poetry.

Abstract

This study aims to find religious values in the main characters of the animated film Upin and Ipin in the form of: (1) Honesty (2) Justice (3) Benefit for others (4) Humility (5) Work efficiently (6) Future vision ( 7) High discipline (8) Balance. Research uses a descriptive approach. The source of the research data is the animated film Upin and Ipin The Beginning Gang of Adventures. Data obtained by non-participant observation. The data analysis techniques used are (1) Data Collection (2) Data Reduction (3) Data Presentation (4) Drawing Conclusions or Verification. The validity of the data obtained by triangulation. The results of this study are (1) The form of religious values in the form of honesty is found in all the main characters. (2) Forms of religious values in the form of justice are found in the characters Badrol, Lim, Ros, and Rajoo (3) Forms of religious values in the form of benefiting others are found in all the main characters (4) Forms of religious values in the form of humility are found in all the main character (5) The form of religious values that manifests efficient work is found in all the main characters (6) The form of religious values that is in the form of future vision is present in all the main characters (7) The form of religious values that is in the form of high discipline is found in all the main characters (8) The form of religious values in the form of balance is found in all the main characters.

Abstract

The aims of the research are (1) to describe the forms of code switching contained in the content YouTube Turah Parthayana, (2) describes the form of code switching contained in the contentYouTube Turah Parthayana, (3) describes the factors that cause code switching in the contentYouTube To install Turah Parthayana. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research with sociolinguistic studies focuses on aspects of code switching. The data sources in this study are three video content shows owned by Turah Parthayana. The data collection technique in this study used the free-involved viewing method. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the three video views are contentYouTube From that, the code switching data found was 44 data. The forms of temporary code switching and permanent code switching were both found by the researcher, namely 5 data. Forms of code switching found at the phrase level found 16 data, 10 data clause levels, 5 sentence levels, and 3 data inter-sentence levels. The factors that cause code-switching found are factors of talking about a certain topic, quoting other people, inserting interjections (expressive words of feeling, doing repetition used for clarification and intention to clarify the speaker's content to the other person

Abstract

The Novel 50 Riyals: The Other Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia by Deni Wijaya is a work about the life of Muslim converts who work as TKW. In this novel it is quite interesting to study further scientifically the lives of women working abroad. Therefore, the writer is interested in studying the social values ​​contained in the novel 50 Riyals: The Other Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia. The aims of this study were (1) to describe the social value of the main character's affection in the novel 50 Riyals on the Other Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia by Deni Wijaya, (2) to describe the social value of the main character's social responsibility in the novel 50 Riyals on the Other Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia by Deni Wijaya, and (3) describing the social value of harmony in the life of the main character in the novel 50 Riyals The Other Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia by Deni Wijaya. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research type. The data was taken from reading the novel 50 Riyals: The Other Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia by Deni Wijaya. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out using the reading and note-taking method, and then identified and analyzed based on the theory of sociology of literature. This study discusses the social values ​​contained in the novel 50 Riyals: Another Side of Indonesian TKW in Saudi Arabia by Deny Wijaya. The researcher found: (1) there were 10 data of social values ​​of affection, 2 data of devotion, 4 data of kinship, 1 data of caring, and 4 data of loyalty. (2) the value of social responsibility as much as 10 data including, a sense of belonging to each other as much as 3 data, empathy as much as 1 data, and discipline as much as 6 data. (3) there are 9 data on social harmony values, 7 data on tolerance, and 2 data on democracy.

Abstract

The research discusses the principle of language politeness in the film Layangan Putus. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to: (1) describe the application of the maxim of wisdom in the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters, (2) describes the application of the maxim of generosity in the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters, (3) describes the application of praise maxims in the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters, (4) describes the application of the maxim of humility in the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters, (5) describes the application of the maxim of agreement in the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters, (6) describes the application of sympathy maxims in the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters, and (7) describe the implications of the research results on the application of the principle of language politeness to Indonesian learning in junior high schools. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach and data taken from the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters. Data collection uses listening methods and note-taking techniques. Data analysis uses data reduction, data feed, and conclusion drawing. The results of research on the application of the principle of language politeness in Layangan Putus film showed that (1) The maxim of wisdom using utterances giving help, advising, refusing help, taking, explaining, replacing the other party, calling, comforting, informing, allowing, serving, hurting the feelings of the other party, and threatening, (2) The maxim of generosity using speech intends to realize the wishes of the other party, delivering, giving food, giving gifts, obeying requests, giving fruits, and sincere, (3) The maxim of praise using utterances of praise, mocking, cursing, and berating, (4) The maxim of humility using speech intends to minimize praise and maximize self-condemnation, admit mistakes, and apologize, (5) The maxim of the agreement using utterances intending to agree, nodding the head, rejecting orders, refusing solicitations, refusing to chat, and refusing requests, (6) The maxim of sympathy using the utterances of condolences and congratulations, (7) The results of this study have implications for Indonesian learning in junior high school grade IX, especially the discussion text material in Basic Competencies 3.10 Examining opinions and arguments that support and that are contra in the discussion text related to the actual problems that are read and heard.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the symbolic forms, both connotative and denotative meanings contained in the Ngamuan Gunung Perak ceremony at the Dayak Maanyan traditional wedding using semiotic studies. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The source of the data in this study was secondary data from video shows of Maanyan Dayak traditional wedding documentation. The instrument in this study is a documentation guide. Documentation guidelines are carried out by analyzing symbolic forms. The data analysis technique used in this study uses the semiotic study of Roland Barthes' theory of two-stage signification (Two orders of signification). The results of the research on the Ngamuan Gunung Perak procession that have been studied are sixteen symbolic forms of the existing denotative and connotative meanings. The symbolic forms are (1) the process of finding the complete silver mountain, (2) the process of finding and bringing the silver mountain to the bride and family, (3) the dance five times around the silver mountain by Wadian Bawo and Wadian Dadas, (4) Wadian calling the two the parents of the bride and groom, (5) lifting the silver mountain three times, (6) dancing nine times around the silver mountain by the bride and family, (7) Sangku, (8) Weah, (9) Pasike Tree, (10) Taringit , (11) Taringit's highest peak, (12) Silver money, (13) Banknotes, (14) Paper money at the end, (15) Junyung bowl, and (16) candles.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe (1). describes the markers in the KKN Desa Penari film (2). Describe the signified meaning in the KKN Desa Penari film, (3). Describe the myths resulting from signifiers and signifieds, and (4). Describe the implications of this research with learning Indonesian in schools. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach in collecting data using descriptive methods using Roland Barthes' theory which includes signifiers, signifieds and myths. Qualitative data were obtained from dialogue excerpts and screenshots taken from the film KKN Desa Penari. The results of this study show that (1) There are 19 data in the form of markers in the Penari Village KKN film (2) There are 19 data about the form and meaning of the sign in the Penari Village KKN film (3) The meaning of myths in the Dancer Village KKN film and (4) The implications in this study are adjusted to basic competencies 3.16 and 4.16 in grade VIII junior high school in odd semesters.
