Abstract

Humans use language as a means of communication. When communicating, speakers should use polite language because with polite language, speakers will maintain their dignity and respect their interlocutor. Apart from being an entertaining spectacle, films can also be used as a medium for learning and disseminating information today. This research aims to describe forms of compliance and violation of politeness principles in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap directed by Bene Dion Rajagukguk. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with the aim of explaining the forms of compliance and violation of Leech's (1993) politeness principles in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap. The data collection method used in this research uses the note-taking technique. The listening method is done by watching or listening to the speech of the characters in the film and then using note-taking techniques as a continuation. The data obtained is described and determined whether it constitutes compliance or a violation of politeness. The results of the research show that there is compliance with the principles of politeness in the film Ngeri-Ngeri Sedap, amounting to 20 data consisting of 1 utterance of the maxim of wisdom, 3 utterances of the maxim of generosity, 8 utterances of the maxim of praise, 1 utterance of the maxim of simplicity, 2 utterances of the maxim of agreement and 5 utterances of the maxim of sympathy . Apart from compliance, there were also violations of politeness principles, totaling 12 pieces of data consisting of 1 utterance of the maxim of generosity, 1 utterance of the maxim of praise, 2 utterances of the maxim of simplicity, 7 utterances of the maxim of agreement, and 1 utterance of the maxim of sympathy.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) describe the formation of the main character's self-identity in the novel Sesuk by Tere Liye in relation to feelings factors, (2) Describe the implications of the main character in the novel Sesuk by Tere Liye in Literature Learning in High School. The data source in this research is the novel Sesuk with Structural theory. The research method used is a description method with a qualitative description approach. A qualitative description approach is used to describe the formation of the main character's self-identity in the novel and describe the implications for literature learning in high school. The results of this research: (1) Analysis of the formation of the main character Sesuk's self-identity in the novel Sesuk by Tere Liye based on the factor of feeling happy. In the novel Sesuk by Tere Liye, the feelings that emerge are sad, happy, happy and moved. (2) implications for literature learning in high school in accordance with Basic Competencies (KD), Learning Materials and learning activities related to novels for class XII Indonesian language competency knowledge and skills.

Abstract

This study is a development-oriented research focusing on product development. The product in question is a flipchart-based learning media for Indonesian language subjects in vocational high schools (SMK). The development model used is the 4-D instructional design model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). In this study, the types of validity used are content validity and construct validity. Content validity was assessed by Indonesian language teachers at SMKN 4 Palangkaraya, while construct validity was evaluated by expert lecturers/supervisors. The research results concluded that the use of flipbook learning media for Indonesian language learning has a significant relationship, as indicated by a Sig. (2-tailed) value of .000. Additionally, the use of flipbook learning media improved students' learning outcomes, as shown by the increase in the average score from 55.47 to 87.59 in class X DKV I and from 90.29 to 96.29 in class X DKV II.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how Meta AI can be used in creating engaging and educational illustrations through children's stories, as well as analyzing its strengths and weaknesses. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the potential of Meta AI in making children's story illustrations. Data was obtained through: literature studies on Meta AI applications and trial illustration making using Meta AI. The results of the study show that Meta AI has great potential in producing illustrations that meet the needs of learning with high accessibility and creative exploration capabilities. However, limited contextual understanding, lack of human touch, and copyright issues are the main challenges. This study recommends collaboration between AI developers and human illustrators to optimize the quality of illustrations as well as training for educators in utilizing this technology.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (1) describe the types of expressive speech acts carried out by the characters in the web series How Much Progress? (2) describe the function of expressive speech acts in the web series How Much Progress? and (3) describe its relevance to fantasy story learning in junior high schools. This study uses a qualitative method with the research subjects being the web series How Much Progress? and the form of data in the form of speech from the dialogue in the web series How Much Progress? In addition, the data collection procedure uses the listening and note-taking method. The data analysis used is the analysis of the content of speech in the web series How Much Progress? dialogue and the data validity checking technique carried out using triangulation and member check techniques. The results of this study indicate that (1) regarding its form, expressive speech acts contained in the web series How Much Progress? consist of 4 forms of speech, namely the type of direct literal speech act, the type of direct non-literal speech act, the type of indirect literal speech act, and the type of indirect non-literal speech act. (2) regarding the function of expressive speech acts in the web series How Much Progress? consists of 6 functions, namely thanking, apologizing, praising, complaining, sympathizing, and expressing anger. The results of the study are relevant to fantasy story learning in junior high schools, students can identify characters and characterizations in web series What is the percentage of progress?

Abstract

The general objective of this research is to describe the form of educational values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata (2019). The specific objectives of this study are: (1) to describe religious values (2) to describe moral values (3) how the social values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata (4) describe aesthetic values (5) describe cultural values. is a descriptive qualitative research. The data used in this research are words and quotes from the novel. The data source used is the novel entitled Ordinary People. Data techniques are carried out using literature study techniques, reading techniques, and note-taking techniques. , and inference. The results of this study indicate the data 1) there are two religious values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata. Data 2) there are eight moral values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata. Data 3) there are four social values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata. Data 4) there are two aesthetic values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata. Data 5) there are two cultural values contained in the novel Orang-Orang Asli by Andrea Hirata.

Abstract

Novel 50 Riyal: Sisi Lain TKW Indonesia Di Arab Saudi karya Deny Wijaya merupakan sebuah karya yang mengangkat tentang kehidupan wanita muallaf yang berkerja sebagai TKW. Dalam novel ini cukup menarik untuk dikaji lebih lanjut secara ilmiah kehidupan perempuan yang bekerja di luar negeri. Oleh karena itu penulis tertarik untuk mengkaji citra perempuan dan bentuk kekerasan gender yang terdapat dalam novel 50 Riyal: Sisi Lain TKW Indonesia Di Arab Saudi ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mendeskripsikan citra tokoh utama perempuan dalam novel 50 Riyal Sisi Lain TKW Indonesia Di Arab Saudi karya Deny Wijaya, dan (2) mendeskripsikan bentuk kekerasan gender yang terjadi dalam novel 50 Riyal: Sisi Lain TKW Indonesia Di Arab Saudi karya Deny Wijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data diambil dari hasil membaca novel 50 Riyal: Sisi Lain TKW Indonesia Di Arab Saudi karya Deny Wijaya. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode baca dan catat, dan kemudian diidentifikasi dan dianalisis berdasarkan teori kritik sastra feminis. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai citra perempuan dan bentuk kekerasan gender dalam novel 50 Riyal: Sisi Lain TKW Indonesia Di Arab Saudi karya Deny Wijaya. Peneliti menemukan adanya: (1) Citra perempuan yaitu citra diri perempuan yang meliputi citra fisik perempuan (kecantikan dan keindahan wajah, bentuk wajah, dan penggambaran makna dibalik raut wajah dan tubuh tokoh utama), dan citra psikis perempuan (sedih, tegang, marah dan takut), selanjutnya citra sosial yang meliputi citra perempuan dalam keluarga (peran sebagai anak, berbakti dan penurut) dan citra perempuan dalam masyarakat (peduli terhadap sesama, suka bermain, toleransi yang tinggi, dan setia kawan), (2) Bentuk kekerasan yang ditemukan yaitu kekerasan fisik (pemukukan dan penyekapan), kekerasan psikologis (ancaman dan paksaan), dan kekerasan seksual (menyentuh, mengajak melakukan hubungan seksual, melecehkan, dan memperkosa).

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menemukan konflik sosial (1)bentuk konflik sosial dalam novel Nyala Semesta karya Farah Qoonita (2) Penyebabkonflik sosial dalam novel Nyala Semesta karya Farah Qoonita (3) penyelesaian konfliksosial dalam novel Nyala Semesta karya Farah Qoonita. Penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatan Sosiologi. Sumber data penelitian adalah novel Nyala Semesta karya FarahQoonita. Data diperoleh dengan Teknik studi Pustaka, Teknik baca, dan Teknik catat.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Keabsahan data diperolehdengan Triangulasi.Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Bentuk konflik sosial meliputi: (a)bentuk konflik sosial antar pribadi sebanyak 6 data (b) bentuk konflik sosial kepentigansebanyak 3 data (c) bentuk konflik sosial antar golongan 1 data (d) bentuk konflik sosialantar negara 5 data (2) Faktor-Faktor penyebab konflik sosial meliputi: (a) perbedaan antarindividu 6 data (b) perbedaan kepentingan 9 darta (3) Penyelesaian Konflik sosial meliputi:(a) paksaan 3 data (b) konsiliasi 1 data.Kata Kunci: Konflik dan Konflik Sosial

Abstract

The use of technological advances has given rise to new media for all fields, including the use of technology in the field of education. This allows the development of alternative learning media that can help the process of teaching courses in higher education. A teacher is required to be able to adapt to technology and use it as a creative and innovative learning tool or medium. The use of digital-based learning media allows students to study these materials anywhere and at any time.Serial podcasts as a medium for learning Indonesian for academic purposes in the digital era are a development product carried out by a team of digital-based media and learning resource developers. This podcast consists of eight episodes containing material related to learning Indonesian. The development of this learning media aims to describe and present eight podcasts with different material for each episode. Determining the type of media development product has been considered from the important elements and characteristics of selecting learning media that suit student needs. The development of this learning media uses a 4 D model which has four stages, namely (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop; and (4) disseminete or distribution. The results of this learning media development product include the following materials: (1) Indonesian for Academic Purposes in the Digital Era, (2) Spelling in Indonesian, (3) Sentences in Indonesian, (4) Topic 4: Paragraphs in Indonesian , (5) Utilization of Digital Technology to Improve Indonesian Language Skills, (6) Indonesian in Academic Communication, (7) Indonesian in Scientific Research and Publications, and; (8) Challenges and Opportunities of Indonesian in the Digital Era which have been published on the ”Siniar Enggang” YouTube account (https://www.youtube.com/@SiniarEnggang).

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas berbagai tantangan dan peluang yang dihadapi para pegiat seni dan akademisi yang senantiasa tumbuh-kembang dan menghidupi tradisi lisan dalam berkebudayaan. Di samping tradisi lisan, keberadaan manuskrip tidak kalah penting peranannya sebagai wahana penyimpanan narasi dan pengetahuan lokal dari masa lalu yang tertulis menjadi ekspresi kebudayaan. Pembahasan terhadap kekayaan tradisi lisan dan manuskrip yang ada di lingkungan masyarakat Dayak di Kalimantan Tengah sebagai warisan budaya tak benda ini difokuskan pada aspek tantangan dan peluang yang ada di tengah perubahan masyarakat yang terus menerus. Metode dekriptif-kualitatif dijadikan pijakan untuk mengidentifikasi dan memahami fenomena lapangan terkait dengan eksistensi tradisi lisan dan manusikrip di wilayah budaya masyarakat Dayak di Kalimantan Tengah. Hasil yang diperoleh melalui pembahasan dengan pendekatan budaya adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama, modal budaya tradisi yang dimiliki masyarakat Dayak Kenyah di Kalimantan Tengah memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan selaras dengan perubahan dan pertumbuhan budaya baru. Kedua, pengelolaan tradisi lisan dan manuskrip yang berbasis pada budaya masa lalu dapat dihadirkan secara kreatif untuk diapresiasi dan dimanfaatan semaksimal mungkin oleh masyarakat melalui industri kreatif. Ketiga, regulasi pemerintah seperti UU No 5 Tahun 2017 tentang Pemajuan Kebudayaan mengamanatkan lahirnya upaya-upaya konkret oleh pemangku kepentingan melalui program pelindungan,pengembangan, pemanfaatan, dan pembinaan. Keempat, program itu memerlukan sumber daya manusia kebudayaan yang bergiat, bekerja, dan berkarya melalui berbagai objek pemajuan kebudayaan, khususnya tradisi lisan dan manuskrip. Dari hal-hal itu memunculkan tantangan dan peluang para pemangku kepentingan untuk membangun idustri kreatif berbasis tradisi lisan dan manuskrip yang ada di Kalimantan Tengah.
