Abstract

System design is a series of activities that describes in detail the system being implemented. The design of the information system for the employee performance report at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Office of Banyuwangi Regency assists stakeholders in monitoring the performance of employees who are carrying out their work. By creating this system design, the process of monitoring reports becomes easier and more effective. The method used in the system design employs the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method with a prototype model that involves several stages, namely problem identification, needs analysis, system modeling design, and system prototype design. The result of this research is a prototype design in the form of a dashboard that is needed in the system so that each user can input completed work data in real-time and stakeholders can monitor reports from employees. Thus, the design of the employee performance achievement information system at the BPS Office of Banyuwangi Regency can play a role and function to assist in a more structured employee performance administration.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) are religious-based educational institutions that emphasize not only Islamic teachings but also the development of character and student discipline, particularly in maintaining environmental cleanliness. However, managing cleanliness often poses a challenge due to low student awareness and the suboptimal implementation of sanitation systems. This study aims to identify behavioral patterns related to student cleanliness through a data mining approach utilizing the Apriori algorithm. This method enables the analysis of students’ habitual behaviors using collected data to uncover hidden patterns related to cleanliness violations. The research was conducted at Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Sukorejo Islamic Boarding School and provides valuable insights for pesantren administrators to design more effective, data-driven cleanliness management strategies. The findings are also expected to enhance student awareness of cleanliness as an essential aspect of Islamic values. Overall, the results serve as a foundation for strategic decision-making to foster a healthy, clean, and supportive environment conducive to optimal learning in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The design of a collaborative progress tracking information system is used for media management at the Office of Communication, Informatics, and Encryption (Diskominfo) in Banyuwangi Regency. Public information management faces complex challenges, especially in coordination among teams, utilization of technology, and efficient information distribution. Diskominfo Banyuwangi experiences significant obstacles in the media management process involving various parties, such as admins, staff, and partners, often operating separately and lacking integration, which leads to miscommunication, delays in revisions, and suboptimal content distribution. The need for an integrated information system has become urgent to support real-time team collaboration and ensure orderly and transparent work progress documentation. To address the issues of coordination and tracking of work, support from an information system is needed, which can facilitate collaboration among teams, ease the documentation of work activities, and accelerate the process of revision and publication of content. Overall, this design is expected to serve as a foundation for the development of an information system that supports more effective, adaptive, and integrated technology-based public services

Abstract

Digitizing archives has become a crucial need in the technological era. Frequent problems with physical documents include lost and difficult-to-find documents, which can lead to difficulties in document management and information retrieval. The Banyuwangi Fisheries Service is a government agency responsible for managing and improving the fisheries sector. Currently, the document archiving data management process at the Fisheries Service is not yet integrated. The document archiving system at the Fisheries Service uses a manual system, which is handwritten and typed using Microsoft Excel. Therefore, a web-based document archiving information system is needed. This aims to develop and build a document management system, implementing a web-based archive management portal to facilitate employees, especially the archives department, so that the presentation is systematic, efficient, and useful. This information system is designed using Prototype and PHP programming, and its database uses MySQL

Abstract

This research designs and develops a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) for event mapping and traffic diversion for annual festivals in Banyuwangi Regency. The main objective is to simplify access to information related to festivals, routes, and traffic diversions for tourists, the general public, and Transportation Agency staff. Thus, this system is designed to assist in preventing traffic congestion and improving safety during festivals. The research methodology follows the Waterfall model, which consists of five steps: needs analysis, system design, development, testing and evaluation, and system deployment along with maintenance. Data collection was conducted through desk research and field research using observation, interviews, and document collection. The system interface consists of a main menu and four features: homepage, routes, paths, and festival information. This GIS integrates spatial data (maps) and non-spatial data (information about the festival) to provide unique visualizations that can be accessed online. This system is expected to assist the Transportation Agency in traffic management, provide safety for road users, and enable a more systematic and efficient management of annual festivals.

Abstract

Public complaints are an important means of improving the quality of public services. However, many people are still reluctant to submit their complaints for fear of their identities being revealed or receiving threats from the reported party. Furthermore, the lack of satisfaction with the follow-up of reports from the administrator also reduces the level of public participation. The existing web-based complaint application does not provide an anonymous feature, making the public feel insecure. This study aims to design a web-based public complaint application with an anonymous feature equipped with a unique code to maintain the privacy of the reporter. This study uses a Waterfall model software development approach that includes stages such as planning, needs analysis, design, implementation, and system testing. The result of this study is a design of an anonymous public complaint information system that can improve the sense of security, effectiveness, and efficiency of public services at the Banyuwangi Regency Communications and Information Service.

Abstract

Currently, technological developments are rapid and dynamic. The manual systems currently in use are deemed inadequate to handle the workload, particularly for routine terminal activities such as recording bus data, monitoring departure schedules, and monitoring arrivals. This situation has prompted the need for a computerized system. Sritanjung Terminal, as one of the main terminals in Banyuwangi Regency, plays a crucial role not only as a transportation service center but also as a source of information for the public. However, the terminal still relies on manual methods, using ledgers, to run its operations. This conventional approach presents numerous challenges, necessitating a shift to a more modern system, namely automated computer-based data management.To address these challenges, this research was conducted through several stages, including field observation, interviews, documentation collection, system design, programming, testing, and system implementation. The final result of this research is the creation of an application capable of managing bus departure and arrival schedules at Sritanjung Terminal in a structured manner according to a predetermined flow. With this application, it is hoped that various operational issues that have arisen can be resolved more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Employee performance appraisal is a crucial aspect of human resource management in government agencies. At SETDA General Affairs Section in Situbondo Regency, the manual performance appraisal system faces several challenges including time inefficiency, prone to recording errors, and lack of transparency in the assessment process. This study aims to design and develop an Employee Performance Appraisal Information System to overcome these problems and improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency. The research methodology uses SDLC Waterfall with stages of system analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews with employees and management, and literature study. The system was developed as a web-based application featuring employee data management, performance criteria input (work quality, work quantity, discipline, initiative, and teamwork), automatic calculation, and real-time reporting. Implementation results show that the system successfully simplifies the performance appraisal workflow, improves data accuracy, provides faster and more transparent reports, and supports quicker decision-making for employee development, promotions, incentives, and public service quality improvement at SETDA General Affairs Section in Situbondo Regency.

Abstract

Lung disease remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in Indonesia. Factors such as smoking habits, unhealthy lifestyles, and low awareness of respiratory health have significantly contributed to the increasing prevalence of this condition. This study aims to classify lung health conditions using the Decision Tree C4.5 algorithm, a data mining technique widely applied in medical analysis. The dataset consists of 132 respondents with various attributes, including age, gender, smoking habits, sleep patterns, and medical history. The model was validated using the percentage split method, A total of 80% of the data was allocated for training the model, while the remaining 20% was used for testing its performance.The results show that the C4.5 algorithm successfully classified lung disease risk into two categories, “Yes” (at risk) and “No” (not at risk), with a high level of accuracy. The model effectively identified the key factors contributing to lung disease risk, such as smoking habits, late-night activity, age, and insurance ownership. These findings confirm that the Decision Tree C4.5 algorithm is a reliable and efficient tool for the early detection of respiratory diseases and can support data-driven decision-making in the healthcare field.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini menganalisis dan memproyeksikan tren pencarian masyarakat Indonesia terkait teknologi 5G menggunakan metode Simple Exponential Smoothing (SES). Data penelitian berupa time series dari Google Trends periode 2020-2024 dengan total 262 observasi. Metode SES dipilih karena kemampuannya menangkap tren dalam data univariate dengan computational complexity yang rendah. Data dibagi menjadi training set (250 observasi) dan testing set (12 observasi) dengan rasio 95:5. Model SES berhasil dibangun dengan performance metrics pada training set menghasilkan RMSE 4.99 dan MAE 3.58, sementara pada testing set diperoleh RMSE 10.88 dan MAE 10.24. Model digunakan untuk memproyeksikan 30 bulan ke depan, menunjukkan tren pencarian yang cenderung stabil dengan fluktuasi minimal. Hasil forecasting mengindikasikan minat masyarakat Indonesia terhadap teknologi 5G akan tetap konsisten dalam jangka menengah. Temuan ini memberikan insights bagi stakeholder untuk strategic planning pengembangan infrastruktur dan kebijakan teknologi 5G di Indonesia. Kata Kunci: 5G, Simple Exponential Smoothing, Google Trends, Forecasting, Time Series   This study analyzes and projects Indonesian public search trends related to 5G technology using Simple Exponential Smoothing (SES) method. Research data consists of time series from Google Trends covering period 2020-2024 with total 262 observations. SES method was selected due to its capability to capture trends in univariate data with low computational complexity. Data was divided into training set (250 observations) and testing set (12 observations) with 95:5 ratio. SES model was successfully built with performance metrics on training set yielding RMSE 4.99 and MAE 3.58, while testing set achieved RMSE 10.88 and MAE 10.24. The model was used to project 30 months ahead, showing search trends that tend to be stable with minimal fluctuations. Forecasting results indicate Indonesian public interest toward 5G technology will remain consistent in medium term. These findings provide insights for stakeholders in strategic planning of 5G infrastructure development and technology policy in Indonesia.
