Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of history subjects in forming the character of students at SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus, understand the process of internalizing character values in history subjects at SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus, and determine the influence of internalization of character education on student learning outcomes on the material on the Japanese Occupation and the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. This research approach is a mixed method with a concurrent embedded strategy. The samples in this study, classes XRPL, X AKL, and X TKKR 1 were taken using simple random and purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques use observation techniques, tests, student behavior measurement scales, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that history has a role in character formation by inserting character values into learning. Internalizing character education starts with preparing learning plans and ends with evaluating history learning. Simple linear regression obtained a significant value (Asymp. Sig 2-tailed) 0.2. The residual value is usually distributed normally because the significant value is greater than 0.05. This means there is a positive influence between the internalization of character education and learning outcomes. Of the 40 respondents, 72.5% of the students showed they had completed learning the material on the Japanese Occupation and the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of motivation, competence, and job satisfaction on the performance of junior high school principals in Grobogan Regency by considering the role of organizational culture as a mediating variable and Javanese culture based coaching as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with path analysis to examine how motivation, competence, and organizational culture affect the performance of junior high school principals in Grobogan Regency. Job satisfaction serves as a mediating variable, while Javanese culture-based coaching acts as a moderator. Data were collected from 100 principals using validated questionnaires, and analyzed with the SEM-PLS method. The results show that motivation, competence, and job satisfaction significantly influence organizational culture, and both motivation and organizational culture significantly enhance principal performance. However, coaching based on Javanese culture and its interaction with organizational culture do not show significant direct effects on performance. Overall, the model demonstrates strong validity, reliability, predictive relevance (Q²), and a high goodness of fit (GoF = 0.562), indicating its robustness in explaining the relationships between the studied variables.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of basic education in improving the quality of life of fishing families in Ujungalang Village, Kampung Laut District, Cilacap. Basic education has an important role in equipping fishermen's children with basic knowledge and skills that can open up opportunities for a better life. The research method used is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach, where data is collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation and document analysis. The research results show that basic education plays a significant role in improving the quality of life of fishing families through several aspects, namely increasing literacy and numeracy, character formation and work ethics, as well as economic empowerment through increasing skills and knowledge. Children who receive basic education tend to have higher aspirations to continue their education to a higher level, which in turn has a positive impact on the overall well-being of the family. This research also identifies the main challenges faced by fishing families in accessing basic education, such as economic limitations, lack of adequate educational facilities, and minimal awareness of the importance of education. To overcome these challenges, collaboration is needed between the government, educational institutions and the community to create a supportive environment for the basic education of fishermen's children.

Abstract

This research aims to explore lecturers' views on the implementation of Pancasila values in higher education, as well as the challenges and strategies they use in the teaching process. Through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, this study finds that lecturers face various challenges, including students' lack of interest, material relevance, teaching methods, and resource limitations. Lecturers employ interactive learning methods, technology, extracurricular activities, experience-based projects, and reflection-based evaluations to help students internalize Pancasila values. These findings align with previous research highlighting the crucial role of lecturers and innovative strategies in Pancasila education. The study concludes that stronger institutional support is needed to address these challenges and strengthen the role of lecturers in shaping students' character based on Pancasila values. With adequate support, lecturers can be more effective in creating relevant and dynamic learning experiences, which will help students apply Pancasila values in their daily lives.
