This conceptual article aims to examine the leadership of school principals in applying the concept of independent learning. The results of the study show that the principal's leadership has a central role in the implementation of independent learning in schools. The steps taken by the principal started from: implementing policies that support independent learning, encouraging teachers to implement fun learning, motivating students to have readiness and mood to learn, actively involving parents and the environment, and collaborating with the education office to holding training to improve teacher competence. Success in implementing independent learning by the principal is proven by the participation of students in education that is evenly distributed, the implementation of effective learning, and no students are left behind in the learning process.

Supervisi merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki dan dilaksanakan oleh kepala sekolah. Kegiatan supervisi akademik bertujuan untuk membantu guru dalam meningkatkan kompetensinya, terutama kompetensi paedagogi dan kompetensi professional. Apabila antara kepala sekolah dan guru sama-sama memahami fungsi supervisi, maka masalah pendidikan lebih mudah terpecahkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas supervisi akademik kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui: (1) Program supervisi akademik, (2) Pelaksanaan Supervisi akademik, dan (3) Evaluasi pelaksanaan supervisi akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah dan guru SD 1 Barongan. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan adalah: kepala sekolah dalam melaksanakan supervisi akademik untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru SD 1 Barongan cukup efektif melalui penyusunan program supervisi, pelaksanaan supervisi, evaluasi pelaksanaan supervisi, dan tindak lanjut yang dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan kolaboratif dengan pendekatan rapat dan kunjungan kelas. Dari hasil penelitian diharapkan kepala sekolah menambah frekuensi supervisi akademik untuk lebih mengoptimalkan peningkatan kinerja guru.

The purpose of this research is to describe the academic supervision of school supervisors to improve teacher professionalism, which focuses on: (1) the implementation of academic supervision by school supervisors, (2) obstacles to academic supervision carried out by school supervisors, and (3) the efforts given by school supervisors under academic supervision. The research method used is a qualitative approach. Data collection procedures using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out with the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The validity of the data using source triangulation techniques, technical triangulation; and time triangulation. The results showed that academic supervision carried out by school supervisors had been carried out properly and by following per under with applicable regulations, from planning to reporting the results of academic supervision; Although in its implementation there are still various obstacles, the effect is not so significant on the effectiveness of the implementation of academic supervision.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun perencanaan pembelajaran dan mengelola kegiatan proses pembelajaran serta meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan berbagai instrumen penelitian (alat monitoring), seperti: catatan harian, lembar observasi; pedoman wawancara; lembar angket/kuesioner, lembar masukan guru (refleksi tindakan); lembar penilaian unjuk kerja, dan instrumen perekam gambar/suara (video) Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah, reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa dari rata-rata tingkat kemampuan guru sebelum dilakukan tindakan sebesar 65,05% yang tergolong kurang, dan meningkat setelah dilakukan tindakan menjadi 86,70% dengan kategori baik. Pelaksanaan supervisi akademik berbasis teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang dilaksanakan di Gugus Garuda Kecamatan Pakis Aji Jepara mampu meningkatkan kinerja guru dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance appraisal function of school principals in carrying out one of their roles as educational supervisors in schools. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis uses interactive data patterns from Miles & Huberman. Checking the credibility of the data is done by checking the credibility, dependability and confirmability. The results of this study showed that the performance appraisal analysis of school principals is very effective in improving the quality and professionalism of school principals in carrying out their roles. The principal as a supervisor plays an important role in improving teacher professionalism and the quality of education in schools. As a supervisor, the principal is responsible for planning educational programs in schools, progress and development of schools and increasing teacher professionalism through fostering the performance of teachers in schools.

The principal has distinctive characteristics in leading or often referred to as a leadership style in carrying out the wheels of the school organization that he leads. Leadership style is a way for leaders to influence their subordinates to want to work together productively to achieve organizational goals. This conceptual article aims to examine the phenomenon of democratic and visionary leadership in improving the performance of teachers in Elementary School (SD) 1 Colo Kudus. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the combination of democratic and visionary leadership styles is very suitable to be applied at SD 1 Colo Kudus to improve teacher performance. Various innovative ideas from school principals for the improvement and progress of schools, including those for improving teacher performance, are always brought together and discussed in advance with teachers to obtain various responses and input; henceforth the final decision remains in the hands of the principal. Based on the results of this study, a combination of democratic and visionary leadership styles can be an alternative that can be applied to improve teacher performance in other basic education units.

Sebagian besar orang memiliki media sosial baik anak-anak, remaja, orang dewasa bahkan sampai lansia juga memiliki  media sosial. Media sosial mudah diakses dimana saja dan memiliki manfaat yang banyak dalam berbagai bidang, media sosial juga mampu membentuk karakter seseorang menjadi lebih baik ataupun sebaliknya. Khususnya karakter anak-anak dan remaja adalah yang paling mudah berubah karena media sosial, banyak dari mereka masih belum bisa membedakan apa yang baik dan buruk, apa yang harus dilihat dan apa yang tidak boleh dilihat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media sosial terhadap pembentukan karakter pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 2 di SDN Cipayung 05 Bekasi beserta orang tua siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara, untuk melihat apakah ada peran orang tua saat anak menggunakan media sosial, apakah media sosial memiliki peran dalam pembentukan karakter anak yang baik ataupun sebaliknya dan juga melihat sikap anak baik pada orang tua ataupun pada masyarakat dilingkugannya.

Since 2020 all educational institutions have implemented distance learning. Distance learning is implemented in order to inhibit the spread of the Covid-19 virus so that it does not spread more widely. The purpose of this research is find out the effectiveness of distance learning implementation at the Al Badrul Falah Islamic Boarding School. This study used qualitative research with the snowball method. Data collection techniques used interviews with teachers and students. The results of this study indicate that distance learning is effective to be carried out using e-learning media and social media. Arabic is the basic foundation in Islam both scientifically and in practice. The reason is, the Qur'an and al-Hadith use Arabic as the medium of delivery. Recently, there has been an expansion of the function of the Arabic language which is brought into the realm of daily communication in order to articulate Islamic identity and mostly occurs in the Muslim community of hijra. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The implementation procedure is to observe the reality of the arabization of the communication of the hijrah Muslim community and its relationship to the articulation of Islamic identity. The method used in analyzing the data is Miles and Huberman's interactive model, namely; data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. While the method used in testing the validity of the data is the method of triangulation and triangulation of sources, peer discussions and member check. The results of this study are: 1) Arabicization of the communication of the hijrah Muslim community is a process of assimilation of Arabic in culture and is used as a symbol in identity politics in a global society. 2) The Arabization of this communication does not touch fundamental aspects of Islam at all, but is only a model of communication.

Kompetensi professional guru sangat penting untuk selalu ditingkatkan salah satunya melalui Penelitian Tindakan kelas (PTK). Guru selalu dituntut untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran di kelas melalui berbagai cara salah satunya penggunaan model pembelajaran. Pelatihan ini bertujuan membekali guru untuk menulis karya ilmiah dan publikasi karya tulis ilmiah. Pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah ini dilakukan dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Model PBL diperlukan agar memberi kesempatan kepada peserta menulis karya tulis ilmiah berupa artikel untuk jurnal. Kegiatan pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah dengan model PBL secara daring ini secara umum dikatakan berjalan dengan baik dari aspek jumlah peserta, ketercapaian target luaran juga baik, penguasaan materi juga kategori baik. Faktor pendukung kegiatan pelatihan ini tersedianya tenaga dosen yang membimbing, antusiasme peserta guru MGMP sekabupaten Rembang, dukungan kepala sekolah melalui MoU dengan UMK, dukungan dana dari Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP UMK sehingga dapat terlaksanakan dengan baik.
