Abstract

This study aims to explore the extent to which Civic Education (PPKn) contributes to fostering nationalism among eight-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Pancur Batu. The research is grounded in the urgency of instilling nationalist values to face the challenges of globalization, which threatens the national identity of the younger generation. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that Civic Education plays a significant role in shaping students' nationalist attitudes. Teachers actively engage in delivering contextually relevant material and apply interactive teaching methods. Several factors influence the development of nationalism in students, including the role of teachers, teaching strategies, family environment, peer influence, and social media. Overall, students exhibit a relatively strong sense of nationalism, reflected in their participation in school activities with national themes, respect for national symbols, and an appreciation for diversity. In conclusion, Civic Education contributes meaningfully to the internalization of nationalist values among students. Therefore, synergy among teachers, parents, and schools is essential to strengthen students' nationalism so that they grow into citizens who love their country and uphold Pancasila values.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of phenomenological research on the capacity of Christian congregations in Medan City to embody and live out spiritual values in their daily lives, by exploring both the transformative potential offered and the challenges faced in integrating phenomenological insights into faith practices. The study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology rooted in a systematic literature review, gathering insights through literature that focuses on the experiences of church congregations in Medan City. The findings highlight potential pathways for integrating phenomenological studies to cultivate life values among Christian congregations, including addressing obstacles such as methodological unfamiliarity, limited resources, and access barriers in deepening the understanding and application of Biblical teachings. The study also reveals significant challenges, such as ethical considerations in raising congregational awareness of the enlightenment process, as well as limitations in data analysis that affect the effectiveness of delivering Biblical messages. This research underscores the importance of phenomenological learning as a means to enrich religious understanding among Christians, enabling them to confront and overcome challenges in practicing spiritual values and fostering love within the diverse socio-religious landscape of Medan City

All members have an equal opportunity to be research samples. Based on the results of the study and discussion, it is concluded that there is an influence of digital media on increasing student learning motivation in PPKn subjects. This is proven by the average experimental class of 74.17 and the control class 63.17. The percentage of student completion in the experimental class showed 4.17% which is greater than the control class with a percentage of 50%. This shows that the success of learning in the experimental class is greater than the control class
