Abstract

Pasien bronkopneumonia, pansitopenia, dan dispepsia memerlukan pertimbangan asuhan gizi khusus yang mungkin timbul akibat kondisi kesehatan yang kompleks, terutama pada kebutuhan nutrisi yang mencukupi, keseimbangan nutrisi khususnya protein untuk pemulihan jaringan tubuh yang rusak dan memperkuat sistem kekebalan tubuh, serta menghindari makanan yang memperparah kondisi pasien, seperti makanan berlemak tinggi, makanan pedas, makanan asam dan makanan yang menyebabkan alergi atau intoleransi. Untuk itu pasien diberikan diet tinggi kalori, tinggi protein, dan tinggi zat besi. Tujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi proses asuhan gizi terstandar dan pemberian diet tinggi kalori, tinggi protein, dan tinggi zat besi pada pasien anak dengan diagnosa bronkopneumonia, pansitopenia, dan dyspepsia. Studi kasus ini berlangsung selama 3 hari yang dilaksanakan pada tangal 22 September 2023 sampai 24 September 2023 pada pasien rawat inap di RS X Surabaya dengan pendekatan Nutrition Care Proscess dan metode observasi. Terdapat beberapa aspek yang dinilai, seperti asupan yang dilihat dari 9 kali makan menggunakan food recall 24h, aspek antropometri untuk mengetahui status gizi pasien, aspek fisik untuk mengetahui kondisi fisik pasien melalui wawancara, aspek biokimia yang dapat diihat dari hasil rekam medis, dan aspek food waste menggunakan visual comstock. Kondisi pasien mulai membaik setelah pemberian intervensi gizi selama 3 hari berturut-turut yang ditandai dengan asupan telah memenuhi target (>80%), kondisi fisik klinis pasien membaik ditandai dengan kondisi tampak bugar dan tidak ada keluhan, data biokimia pasien mengalami penurunan pada nilai leukosit dan trombosit.

Abstract

Gizi lebih termasuk salah satu masalah gizi yang banyak dialami oleh remaja di Indonesia. Gizi lebih disebabkan ketidakseimbangan energi yang masuk dengan energi yang keluar dari tubuh. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti tingkat stres dan pola makan. Pola makan remaja saat ini mengalami pergerseran dimana cenderung suka konsumsi makanan cepat saji (fast food). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan tingkat stres dan sumbangan tingkat konsumsi fast food dengan status gizi pada remaja putri SMA Negeri 1 Gresik. Jenis penelitian ini observasional analitik dengan desain case control. Sampel terdiri dari 44 siswi yang terbagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok status gizi overweight dan status gizi normal. Sampel dipilih dengan acak menggunakan simple random sampling. Analisis penelitian menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat konsumsi energi makanan total (p=0,000), tingkat konsumsi lemak makanan total (p=0,001), dan tingkat konsumsi karbohidrat makanan total (p=0,011) dengan status gizi. Sementara itu, tidak ada hubungan antara tingka stres (p=0,160), tingkat konsumsi protein makanan total (p=0,329), sumbangan energi fast food (p=0,620), sumbangan protein fast food (p=0,917), sumbangan lemak fast food (0,820), dan sumbangan karbohidrat fast food (p=0,367) dengan status gizi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah berlebihnya asupan energi, lemak, dan karbohidrat dapat menyebabkan peningkatan status gizi pada remaja putri. Sebaiknya remaja putri memiliki batasan dalam konsumsi fast food serta menerapkan pola hidup sehat sesuai dengan pedoman gizi seimbang.

Abstract

Introduction: Health practitioners have tried to reduce the prevalence of diabetes mellitus, which increases globally every year, but the result has not been optimal yet. Meanwhile, the indigenous people of the Dayak tribe from Borneo Island of Indonesia believe that the Bajakah plant (Spatolobus littoralis Hassk) can treat many diseases, including reducing blood glucose. However, the effect of the Bajakah stem plant extract on blood glucose regulation is still vague. Aims: Therefore, our animal-experimental research aimed to test the effect of the Bajakah stem plant extract using streptozotocin-induced Wistar male rats. Methods: We grouped the rats into K1, K2 (negative and positive control groups, respectively), P1, P2, and P3 (with additional Bajakah stem extract 50, 100, and 150 mg/kg body weight, respectively), with each group consisted of five rats. We collected blood glucose and insulin level at baseline (T1) and end of the intervention (T2). Results: This study found the highest mean ± standard deviation of insulin level was in the C2 group (5.10±0.84 µU/mL) and the lowest value in the X3 group (3.65±0.41 µU/mL). However, we found a significant difference in the blood glucose level at baseline and the end of the intervention (p<0.001). The highest reduction means value on blood glucose level was in the X3 group (T1: 471.40±89.24 mg/dL; T2: 122.80±12.50 mg/dL). Conclusion: The Bajakah stem plant's extract intervention affects the blood glucose level of Wistar male rats, possibly through the free radical's protection effect on the target cell receptor that binds to insulin and glucose.

Abstract

Kelelahan kerja dapat mengganggu produktivitas  karyawan wanita. Kelelahan kerja di sebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti anemia dan suhu tempat kerja. Terjadinya anemia pada wanita, selain disebabkan oleh kehilangan darah pada saat menstruasi juga disebabkan oleh defisiensi zat gizi yang dibutuhkan untuk produksi dan pematangan sel darah merah seperti fe,asam folat, vitamin B12 dan vitamin C. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain case control. Penelitian di lakukan di Instalasi Gizi RSUD Dr Soetomo Surabaya. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan wanita di Intalasi Gizi RSUD Dr Soetomo Surabaya yang terdiri dari 16 sampel kasus dan 16 sampel control. Sampel diambil secara proportional random sampling. Pengumpulan data meliputi pengkuran kadar HB, pengukuran suhu tempat kerja, food recall 24 hours dan pengisian kuesioner kelelahan kerja dan karakterstik responden. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan antara anemia (p=0,034) (OR=6,6), asupan zat besi (P=0,013) (OR=9,0), asupan asam folat (P=0,031) (OR=7,22),asupan vitamin B12 (P=0,034) (OR=6,6), asupan vitamin C (P=0,031) (OR=7,22) dan suhu lingkungan kerja (p=0,013) (OR=9.533) terhadap kelelahan kerja karyawan wanita. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah asupan fe, asam folat, vitamin B12, vitamin C dan suhu lingkungan kerja merupakan faktor resiko terjadiya kelelahan kerja pada karyawan wanita di Instalasi Gizi RSUD Dr Soetomo Surabaya   Kata kunci : kelelahan kerja, karyawan wanita, anemia, asupan mikronutrien, suhu lingkungan kerja

Abstract

Background: Non-communicable diseases can be prevented with dietary modifications, but major dietary changes are difficult for most people. One alternative that can be done is to add important nutrients in the form of a familiar diet menu, such as noodles. One of the nutrients that can help is fiber. One of the sources of fiber in Indonesia is coconut flour, which is a by-product of coconut oil and coconut milk. Objectives: This study aims to determine the effect of coconut flour substitution on the acceptability of noodles and the fiber content of substituted noodles. Methods: This study used a factorial design with Completely Randomized Design. The study was conducted with 30 untrained adult as panelists. Acceptability was measured by a preference test on 3 formulas consisting of a control formula without coconut flour substitution (F0), a substitution formula with a ratio of wheat flour to coconut flour 85%:15% (F1), a formula with a ratio of wheat flour to coconut flour 80% :20% (F2). Results: The substitution of wheat flour with coconut flour in noodles F1 and F2 percent increased the fiber composition in noodles from 1.99g/100g to 5.98g/100g and 7.31g/100g. Substitution did not have a significant effect on the parameters of taste and aroma, but it did affect the decrease in the panelists' preference for the parameters of the color and elasticity of the noodles. Conclusions: The conclusion obtained is that the substitution of coconut flour in noodles increases the fiber content in the substituted noodle formula and decreases the acceptability in terms of the elasticity and color of the substituted noodles. F1 formula appears to be the best formula, which has the highest acceptability among substitution formula

Abstract

Background: Watching activity is one of the monotonous activities that is included in a form of sedentary lifestyle. Irregular eating patterns can be in the form of eating schedules that are not in accordance with the time and large portions of food have a role in increasing the risk of obesity. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between the type and frequency of eating as well as energy adequacy with the incidence of excess nutrition in female Korean drama connoisseurs in the Undergraduate Program of Nutrition, Universitas Airlangga. Methods: The type of research used in this study was analytic observational with a case-control study design with excess nutrition as the dependent variable and type, frequency, and energy adequacy as independent variables. The number of samples used in this study were 64 female students, namely 32 female students for the case group and 32 female students for the control group. In this study, the data collected was primary data which included data on the respondents' age, weight, height, and food consumption patterns. Results: The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between energy adequacy and the incidence of overweight in women who enjoy Korean dramas in the Undergraduate Program of Nutrition. Meanwhile, the variables of type and frequency of eating have no relationship with the incidence of obesity in female Korean drama connoisseurs in the Undergraduate Program of Nutrition. Conclusions: The conclusion of this study is that most of the respondents who are overweight are included in the normal energy adequacy category and most of the others are included in the excess energy adequacy category. Therefore, it is expected that respondents can participate in regular nutritional status control activities so that the nutritional status of respondents/students is more controlled.

Abstract

Background: Adolescent girls tend to have thinner bodies. Dissatisfaction with body shape can affect daily eating behavior. Misperception of body image can lead to a desire to thin out and to misbehave in diet to have an eating disorder. Bad eating behavior that lasts a long time will affect the nutritional status of adolescents. Objectives: This study aims to analyze the correlation between body image and eating disorders with the nutritional status of adolescents aged 15-18 years. Methods: This method is observational analytical research with a case-control design on 34 teenage girls in classes X and XI at Semen Gresik High School with a sampling technique using Simple Random Sampling. The instrument for measuring body image uses the Body Shape Questionnaire-34 (BSQ–34) and to assess the tendency to have eating disorders using the Eating Disorder Diagnostic Scale (EDDS). Statistical test analysis between variables uses Fisher’s exact test. Results: The results showed that there were 15 girl students (88.2%) with normal nutritional status who had a positive body image, one girl student (5.9%) who had poor nutritional status had a negative body image, along with 14 girl students (82.4%) who had normal nutritional status not tended to have eating disorders, and many as two girl students (11.8%) with underweight nutritional status tended to have eating disorders. The results of statistical test analysis show that there is no corellation between body image (p = 1,000) and eating disorders (p = 1,000) with nutritional status. Conclusions: This study concludes that no significant correlation exists between body image and eating disorders and the nutritional status of adolescent girls aged 15-18 years.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is a health disorder in the form of pain that often occurs in women. The prevalence of dysmenorrhea according to WHO is 90%. Based on previous research, there are several factors that cause dysmenorrhea such as nutritional status and calcium mineral intake level. MAN 3 Tulungagung is an educational institution in Tanen village, precisely on Supriyadi Street, Tanen village, Kec. Rejotangan, Kab. Tulungagung, East Java. Based on a survey that was conducted, 57 female students (67%) experienced dysmenorrhea. Through this study, researcher wanted to know the relationship between nutritional status and calcium mineral intake with the incidence of dysmenorrhea in female students of MAN 3 Tulungagung. This study uses a case control design. Subjects who participated in this study were 40 female students with 20 female students in each group. Data analysis used the chi square test. Result based on the analysis that has been done, there is a significant relationship with the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea in female students of MAN 3 Tulungagung with a p-value = 0.034 or <0.05, OR=7.364; CI:1.337-40.548. Then, there is a significant relationship between the level of calcium consumption and the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea in female students of MAN 3 Tulungagung with a p-value of 0.028* or <0.05, OR=6.000; CI:1.082-33.274. Adolescents should improve food intake and physical activity to improve nutritional status and calcium intake. This is important so that dysmenorrhea can be avoided and a better quality of life.

Abstract

Stunting is a undernutrition chronic status in the period of growth and development since the beginning of life. The incidence of stunting is influenced by multifactorial. Some factors such as the adequacy of macro nutrition during the growth period, incidence of infectious diseases, maternal personal hygiene and environmental sanitation, and mother's education, mother's occupation and family income. The purpose of this study was to analyze the adequancy of macro nutrient, incidents of diarrhea, maternal personal hygiene, and environmental sanitation for the incidence of stunting. This research was observational with a case-control design. The case group was stunting toddlers aged 24-59 months, whereas the control group was normal toddlers (H/A) toddler age 24-59 months. Research was carried out in the working area of Mulyorejo Health Center Surabaya. Sample on this research was 28 for both stunting and non-stunting. Data was collected by measuring height and weight, family and toddler characteristic questionnaire, personal hygiene behavior assessment questionnaire, healthy home assessment questionnaire, food recall questionnaire 1x24 hours on holidays and week days. The data were analyzed using chi-square tests to determine the correlection of variabels on the incidence of stunting. The results of the study showed that there is a relationship between the level of energy sufficiency (p = 0.015) (OR = 4,636), the level of protein sufficiency (p = 0,000) (OR = 15,000), the level of fat sufficiency (p = 0,000) (OR = 22,000), the level of carbohydrate adequacy (p = 0,000) (OR = 11,500), history of diarrhea (p = 0.001) (OR = 0.121), and maternal personal hygiene (p = 0,000) (OR = 0.263) with stunting but, was no relationship between environmental sanitation (p = 0.070) (OR = 0.258) for the incidence of stunting. The conclusion in this study is the adequacy of macro nutrients, no incidents of diarrhea, good maternal personal hygiene, and environmental sanitation that meet the requirements will reduce the risk of stunting

Abstract

Prevalensi kejadian overweight dan obesitas pada usia remaja di Indonesia cenderung meningkat setiap tahunnya. Masalah gizi lebih pada remaja dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti stres akademik, pola konsumsi makan dan tingkat asupan zat gizi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan stres akademik dan pola konsumsi makan dengan overweight pada siswa SMA Negeri 2 Sumenep. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain case control. Sampel terdiri dari 50 siswa yang terbagi menjadi dua kelompok, masing-masing pada setiap kelompok status gizi overweight dan normal terdiri dari 25 siswa, diambil secara acak menggunakan simple random sampling. Data pengukuran berat badan, tinggi badan, stres akademik, dan pola konsumsi makan diperoleh dari kuesioner online dan wawancara melalui telepon dan/atau chat. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara stres akademik (p=0,009), pola konsumsi fast food (p=0,009) dan pola konsumsi snack (p=0,024) dengan overweight. Sedangkan antara pola konsumsi minuman manis (p=0,398), pola konsumsi buah (p=0,323) dan sayuran (p=0,347) tidak ada hubungan dengan overweight. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tingginya tingkat stres akademik, seringnya konsumsi fast food dan snack dapat menyebabkan overweight pada siswa.
