Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of job satisfaction, work motivation, and organizational commitment on turnover intention. A lesson from case of the desire of an employee to leave a company, specificly from AVISENA Maternity Hospital’s Employee perspective. The research was design by using conclusive, in causal type, with quantitative and survey methods. The sampling method used is saturation sampling and the data was analized by SEM-PLS with SmartPLS. Data was taken by giving self-administered questionnaire (SAQ) to 59 respondents. Respondents are AVISENA Maternity Hospital’s employee. The result shows that the job satisfaction, work motivation, and organizational commitment variable have a negative impact on turnover intention.

Abstract

Poverty remains a major issue in developing countries, including Indonesia. In 2021, Indonesia’s poverty rate reached 10.14%, or approximately 27.5 million people (BPS). Poverty alleviation is a primary goal within the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Two important indicators for measuring poverty are per capita expenditure and average years of schooling, which can aid in formulating policies to reduce poverty. This study analyzes the relationship between average years of schooling and per capita expenditure in 2023 using nonparametric regression methods, specifically kernel and spline regression. The kernel regression analysis yielded an optimal bandwidth of 0.860 and a minimum GCV of 0.574. However, the truncated spline method, with one optimal knot, a minimum GCV of 0.5263514 at the 3rd order, and the smallest MSE of 0.4097892, proved to be more accurate in describing the relationship between the two variables. The study concludes that the truncated spline method is superior in modeling the relationship between per capita expenditure and average years of schooling, providing valuable insights for policy formulation aimed at poverty alleviation in Indonesia.

Abstract

According to data from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF), Indonesia will produce 19.45 million tons of waste by 2022. Of the total amount of waste, 882.03 thousand tons of it is waste from North Sumatra. This amount of waste makes North Sumatra the seventh largest waste producer in Indonesia. Pematang Johar Village is one of five villages located in Labuhan Deli Sub-district, Deli Serdang Regency. The village consists of 18 hamlets, one of which is hamlet XV Suka Mulia. Hamlet XV is a hamlet that is labeled as an ecobrick hamlet, because hamlet XV is the first hamlet to bring and apply plastic waste processing with the ecobrick method. The application of this ecobrick has been running since five years ago until now. In this research, the method used is a qualitative method supported by literature studies. In addition, this study also used an interview method conducted with the community of Dusun XV Suka Mulia, Pematang Johar Village

Abstract

Vibration as a part of the physical work environment that can have an impact on increasing work productivity and health for workers, it is necessary to study the impact of exposure to the human body. The climate room is one of the learning facilities in the Ergonomics and Work System Design Laboratory of the Industrial Engineering Study Program. However, this climate room does not have a vibration simulation yet, so it is necessary to have a vibrating floor design that can simulate vibration as part of the conditions in the work environment. In designing the vibrating floor design, the ergonomics and safety aspects are considered by using the Ergonomic Function Deployment (EFD) method where the requirement attribute is derived from the ENASE aspect. From this research, it was found that the contribution value for each of the required attributes can be determined so that the order of priorities that must be met in the design of the vibrating floor design can be determined. The highest contribution value which shows priority 1 is 3.80 users are comfortable in operating the vibrating floor, in this case the vibrating floor design is based on the user's anthropometric data. For the lowest contribution value, namely 1.42 as priority 9, the vibrating floor treatment process is easy to do so that the target specification for the vibrating floor uses iron and painted plywood. From the design of the vibrating floor based on the attributes of the needs so that it can provide a real vibration simulation like industrial conditions Keywords: Vibration floor, Ergonomic and Safety, Ergonomic Function Deployment (EFD).

Abstract

Low user engagement and long-term retention remained key challenges in mobile learning applications despite advancements in instructional content and functionality. This study aimed to examine the role of gamification elements and micro-interactions in enhancing user engagement in mobile-based language learning applications, with a focus on Duolingo and similar platforms. A Systematic Literature Review method was employed, following the stages of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and inclusion. Literature searches were conducted through Google Scholar and ResearchGate, covering studies published between 2020 and 2025. Ten articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed using qualitative synthesis. The results indicated that gamification elements such as points, badges, leaderboards, and streaks contributed to increased learner motivation and consistent application use. In addition, micro-interactions supported user engagement by improving system clarity, interaction comfort, and feedback responsiveness. This study concluded that a balanced integration of gamification and micro-interactions was essential for developing sustainable and effective mobile learning applications.

Abstract

This study investigates the global impact of financial inclusion on food security, with a focus on both developing and developed countries. The study constructs a financial inclusion index using the Sarma method and secondary data sourced from IMF and World Bank databases. System GMM is employed as the estimation method due to its effectiveness in addressing endogeneity issues and its efficient and consistent use of instruments. The analysis reveals that financial inclusion has a positive and statistically significant effect on food security across all research sub-samples. In addition, the study incorporates interaction variables between financial inclusion and the COVID-19 pandemic to explore how the crisis alters the relationship between financial inclusion and food security. The findings indicate that the COVID-19 crisis has globally diminished food security and moderates the impact of financial inclusion on food security. Overall, the study confirms that financial inclusion is a crucial factor in enhancing food security worldwide, with no substantial disparity between developed and developing countries. Nevertheless, the global COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated a capacity to weaken the beneficial effects of financial inclusion on food security.
