Abstract

Obesity is a physical condition that is of great concern to Polri Personnel. Apart from having an excessive anthropometric impact, it can also result in less optimal physical condition performance. This research aims to find out how big is the relationship: 1) between dietary habit and the obesity condition of Polri personnel, 2) between physical fitness and the obesity condition of Polri personnel, 3) between stress and the obesity condition of Polri personnel, and, 4) among dietary habit, physical fitness, and stress on the obesity condition of Polri personnel. This research is a type of correlational research. This research was conducted with subjects totaling 584 Polri personnel. Instruments used in the research were dietary habit instrument using the Food Frequency Questionnaires for Adults, physical fitness instrument using the National Police Physical Fitness Test, and stress instrument using the Police E-Mental Application. Data analysis techniques in the research involved product moment  correlation test analysis, multiple correlation with the regression line equation, prerequisite test and hypothesis test as well as univariate and bivariate analysis. This research shows that: (1) there is a relationship between dietary habit and the obesity condition of Polri personnel with a p-value of 0,631 with significance value of 0,000, (2) there is a relationship between physical fitness and the obesity condition of Polri personnel with a p-value of 0,433 with significance value of 0,000, (3) there is a relationship between stress and the obesity condition of Polri personnel with a p-value of 0,429 with significance value of 0,000, (4) there is a relationship among dietary habit, physical fitness, and stress on the obesity condition of Polri personnel by obtaining an Fcount value of 13,143 and an Ftable value of 8,532 marked by an R value of 0,537 with a significance level of 0,000. Based on the research results above, it can be concluded that there is a fairly strong relationship among dietary habit, physical fitness, and stress on the obesity condition of Polri personnel, and it can be seen that dietary habit has the most significant influence compared to physical fitness and stress. Suggestion: Polri needs to adopt programs that encourage healthy dietary habit for the personnel, It is important for the Regional Police (Polda) physical fitness bureau to implement a comprehensive and sustainable physical fitness program, and for the Polda psychology bureau to provide programs or periodic checks that can help managing and reducing stress in the workplace.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of arm muscle strength, jump height, and height on the accuracy of basketball shots in students aged 12-15 years. The research problem arises from the gap between students' high enthusiasm for basketball and the inconsistent shooting results they achieve. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research subjects consisted of 34 male students from Public Middle School 22 Semarang who were selected randomly. The data collection involved physical fitness assessments, such as push-ups to measure arm muscle strength, vertical jumps to gauge jumping proficiency, height measurements with a stadiometer, and shooting tests utilizing a jump. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 25, which included descriptive tests, prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity), and multiple linear regression. The results showed a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.147, indicating that the three variables collectively contributed only 14.7% to shooting ability. The ANOVA test yielded a significance value of 0.183, which is greater than 0.05, and the partial test also showed no significant effect from each independent variable. These findings suggest that shooting success in adolescents is more influenced by factors such as mastery of basic techniques, movement coordination, and training experience.

Abstract

The high number of students who are physically inactive and the limitations of Physical Education teachers in conducting fitness evaluations indicate the need for competency improvement through structured training. Many teachers do not yet understand the concept of physical literacy and are not skilled in using valid and reliable fitness measurement tools. This community service activity aims to enhance the ability of PJOK teachers to measure and evaluate the fitness, health index, and physical literacy of students through a data-based approach. The methods of the activity include coordination with stakeholders, material preparation, pretest, theoretical and practical training (classroom, demonstration, case study, field practice), posttest, and result evaluation. The instrument used is a Google Form questionnaire developed to measure teachers' understanding and skills before and after the training. The results show a significant improvement: conceptual understanding increased from 28% to 88%, the skill in using measurement tools increased from 22% to 85%, and data analysis ability increased from 15% to 82%. In conclusion, the PEFORMA training is effective in equipping teachers with essential competencies to support the objective, systematic, and sustainable evaluation of student fitness. This program is recommended/advised to be implemented more widely as part of strengthening the quality of physical education in elementary schools.

Abstract

The high risk of accidents in elementary school environments requires physical education teachers to have emergency response competencies, including the ability to perform first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). However, most teachers have not received adequate training in this area. This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of PE teachers through theoretical and practical training covering CPR, AED use, and the integration of safety protocols into physical education activities. The implementation method includes initial coordination with the school, a pretest, classroom and field training, demonstrations, a posttest, and evaluation using a Google Form-based questionnaire. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in participants' competencies: 90% of teachers were more skilled in handling emergencies, 95% were able to integrate safety protocols into learning, and 100% obtained formal competencies in CPR skills. Additionally, 95% of teachers demonstrated improved support for the school's medical team system, and 90% were able to incorporate physical safety into the curriculum. These findings confirm the effectiveness of systematic and practical training in enhancing teachers' preparedness. In conclusion, strengthening teachers' competencies in school safety should be an integral part of education policy, and such training should be conducted regularly to ensure comprehensive student safety.

Abstract

The high risk of injury in Physical Education activities in primary schools is an important issue that requires special attention, especially since most teachers do not have adequate training in dealing with emergencies such as physical injuries, heart attacks or other risky situations. This problem is reinforced by the lack of integration of safety protocols in learning and the absence of standardized safety policies in many schools. This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of Physical Education teachers through first aid and school safety training. The methods used include coordination with stakeholders, preparation of materials, pretest, theoretical and practical training, posttest, and evaluation of results. The training is delivered through lectures, demonstrations, case studies, and field simulations designed to match the real situation in the school environment. The results showed significant improvements in teachers' understanding of basic life support (100%), integration of classroom safety protocols (95%), and ability to handle student injuries (95%). The training also improved teachers' preparedness in using AEDs and implementing emergency evacuation procedures. In conclusion, systematic and contextualized training proved effective in improving the competence of PJOK teachers in safety and emergency response aspects. In the future, sustainable training programs and integrated school safety policies are needed to ensure a safe, inclusive and responsive learning environment to the risks that may occur during physical activities at school.

Abstract

Athlete psychology and nutrition play an important role in athlete success. These factors influence each other, so knowing athletes' psychology and nutrition levels is necessary. This study aimed to analyze the level of psychology and nutrition of athletes. The research method used in this study is a survey with an ex post facto research design. This research survey uses the distribution of questionnaires in accordance with the instruments used. The sample involved in this study were athletes who participated in the 2023 Provincial Sports Week championship (PORPROV), with the total sampling technique involving as many as 285 athletes. The analysis technique in this study uses descriptive quantitative to determine the mean and standard deviation and is categorized into 5 levels. From the results of the table analysis above, the psychological aspects of the 285 athletes involved in this study showed good results. The results of the table analysis above show that the nutritional adequacy of the 285 athletes involved in this study is sufficient. This study concludes that the psychological and nutrition of athletes need to be improved, given the importance of these factors as one of improving achievement.
