Abstract

Latar Belakang: Meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial salah satunya adalah Tiktok di masa pandemi covid 19 menjadi fokus untuk penelitian ini mencoba memahami apa yang mendorong seseorang untuk menggunakan aplikasi Tiktok. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat model faktor yang mempengaruhi niat pengguna aplikasi TikTok, serta mencari tahu  faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku untuk berbagi informasi pada aplikasi Tiktok. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka teori TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) dan metode kuantitatif. Populasi yang diambil merupakan para mahasiswa yang menggunakan Tiktok di Pulau Jawa. Sampel penelitian ini sejumlah 385 responden yang diambil secara convenience sampling. Kemudian data diolah dengan menggunakan software SPSS dan LISREL. Hasil: Temuan  penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa model motif penggunaan dan intensi berbagi memiliki model goodnes of fit yang baik dengan RMSEA; 0.072, NFI;0.90, CFI;0.93, GFI;0.88. Hasil uji parsial menunjukan motif Perceived Ease of Use dan Perceived Enjoyment mempengaruhi niat dalam Intention to Use, kemudian Intention to Use juga mempengaruhi niat dalam Information Sharing Intention. Akan tetapi, Perceived Usefulness tidak berpengaruh terhadap niat dalam Intention to Use. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dalam upaya peningkatan partisipasi individu dalam menggunakan sosial media khususnya dan perilaku berbagi informasi tiktok, sebaiknya memperhatikan bagaimana persepsi individu akan kemudahan, kemanfaatan, dan kesenangan  dalam penggunaan teknologi.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover the meaning of modern Muslimah identity, which is constructed by micro-celebrities through their accounts on social media such as Instagram. In addition, it also explores the motives that underlie a person to become a celebrity on Instagram. Using a phenomenological approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews with five informants, in addition to literature review and observation. The results revealed that the meaning of Muslimah identity is constructed by Instagram celebrities in three categories, namely: (1) The assertion of the definition of Muslimah is a Muslim woman who follows Islamic law, uses clothing as a cover for the aurat in accordance with Islamic law, the uploaded content displays positive content and does not expose the aurat, and in terms of endorsement, selecting the products received so as not to deviate from Islamic teachings becomes a necessity. (2) The motives of Muslimah celebgrams are divided into two, namely the motive of using Muslimah symbols and the motive of becoming a Muslimah celebgram on Instagram. In using Muslim symbols in the form of hijab, the motive is divided into two, namely the motive of cause and the motive of purpose. (3) Cause motives consists of fulfilling obligations as a Muslimah, encouragement from the family, and encouragement from the environment. The purpose motive consists of fulfilling religious obligations, protecting oneself, breaking the bad stigma against Muslim women, inspiring others, and improving oneself.

Abstract

Background: The stunting prevalence rate is still a significant concern that must be resolved in Indonesia, especially in West Java. The latest data obtained from SSGI (2022) states that out of 27 districts/cities in West Java, four districts/cities have a high stunting prevalence (30%-39.9%) which are Garut Regency, Cianjur Regency, Bandung Regency, and Cirebon City. Garut is in the public spotlight because it has the highest stunting prevalence in West Java. Purpose: Therefore, referring to these data, researchers are interested in knowing the health communication polemic in responding to Garut Regency’s acceleration of reducing stunting prevalence. Method: The research approach used is qualitative research with a case study method. In Garut, stunting is a critical issue and is still being worked on. This study used in-depth interviews to collect data from five informants, participatory observation, and a literature study. Results: The results of the study showed exciting findings, including First, the existence of social, cultural, and economic factors as the cause of the health communication polemic in the acceleration of reducing Garut Regency’s stunting prevalence; Secondly, the health communication process has been conducted to accelerate a stunting reduction in Garut Regency; and thirdly, the need for health communication planning evaluation for accelerating stunting reduction so that even this has become a polemic until now. Conclusion: The health communication program planning evaluation carried out should be able to determine the next steps that must be taken so that this health communication polemic can be resolved immediately. Implications: The findings from this research have implications for the development of the next accelerated stunting reduction program, especially in Garut. The existence of an evaluation of the communication program is an important note that can be considered to realize the achievement of Indonesia Emas 2024.

Abstract

Abstract. Nomophobia (the fear of being disconnected from a smartphone) severely impacts social and mental problems in society, so it is essential to measure the nomophobia levels to anticipate more severe problems in society. Even so, the validated nomophobia instrument still needs to be looked at to see how it can be used in the current situation. This study, therefore, aims to assess and develop a valid and reliable nomophobia instrument. This research method used a survey approach conducted on 75 students in West Java. Data analysis to test validity and reliability employed Rasch modeling with Winstep, consisting of 1) item and person reliability validity testing, 2) Wright Map person and item instruments, 3) rating scale analysis, and 4) exploratory analysis factors. Then, to find out the level of nomophobia among college students, descriptive statistical analysis was applied. The analysis results revealed that out of 15 instruments, 11 had the feasibility to be used in measuring the nomophobia construct with four dimensions: 1) the dimension of loss of connectedness, 2) the dimension of giving up convenience, 3) the dimension of inability to communicate, and 4) the dimension of inability to access information. Meanwhile, for instrument answers, the Nomophobia scale score is recommended to be ranked from 1 to 4.Keywords: nomophobia; instrument validity; rasch model.

Abstract

Studi ini mengkaji faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan intensi untuk mengakses informasi kesehatan seksual melalui aplikasi sosial media Instagram. Penerapan dari model revisi UTAUT digunakan dengan menambahkan konstruksi sikap untuk meneliti intensi menggunakan Instagram dalam upaya untuk mendapatkan informasi kesehatan seksual. Selain itu, studi ini juga melihat proyeksi intensi untuk mengakses edukasi seks melalui Instagram, yang berpotensi untuk memunculkan intensi untuk berinteraksi dengan konten informasi kesehatan reproduksi melalui kerangka model penelitian yang telah diajukan. Studi ini akan menggunakan akun Instagram terbesar mengenai kesehatan reproduksi, @tabu.id sebagai studi kasus. Tabu.id dipilih sebagai akun yang merepresentasikan kualitas informasi kesehatan reproduksi di sosial media Instagram. Studi ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis multivariat. Studi ini menggunakan data dari 146 sampel pengguna Instagram yang diperoleh dari penyebaran kuesioner. Pengolahan data yang didapat dari jawaban kuesioner ini akan diolah dengan menggunakan software statistik SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) 26 dan LISREL (Linear Structural Relations) 8.50 dengan menggunakan sistem operasi Windows 10 untuk mempermudah serta menghindari kecacatan dalam hasil perhitungan. Hasil studi ini mengindikasikan adanya intensi untuk menggunakan Instagram untuk mengakses informasi edukasi seks, diikuti dengan intensi untuk berinteraksi dengan informasi edukasi seks. Sedangkan, intensi menggunakan Instagram untuk mengakses informasi edukasi seks hanya dipengaruhi oleh Performance Expectancy.

Abstract

Gender-based aggression or violence in society can happen to anyone, at any time, and by anyone who commits it. There are several factors that cause physical aggression. One of the novels by Colleen Hoover, namely It Ends With Us, has elements of physical aggression in it. Therefore, this research aims to determine the gender of the perpetrator of aggression, the depiction of the type of aggression in the novel, and the relationship between the type of aggression and how the target responds to the aggression. The population in this study were all chapters or acts in the novel. Researchers used census sampling techniques and produced all 36 chapters as research samples. This research involved two coders for the research process through coding sheets and coding books. Data analysis carried out was an inter-coder reliability test, descriptive analysis, chi-square test, and binary logistic regression test using the SPSS version 25 application. The results of the study showed that there were several categories that dominate and describe aggression, as well as the relationship between aggression and the target response in the novel "It Ends With Us".

Abstract

West Bandung Regency is an area that has hilly topography and mountains. It causes the area of West Bandung to be prone to landslides. One way that can be done to reduce the risk of landslide disaster is to improve the effective communication network. This study aims to describe and analyze the community communication network In Landslide Preparedness Facing Landslide at Burangrang Mountain Foot Kab. West Bandung. This research method use approach of communication network analysis using Ucinet 6.0. The results showed that the structure of risk communication network network is personalized interlocking (interlocking personal network). The average value of local centrality on this network is 4.113. Based on the results of the analysis that has been done, there are several clicks in the communication network; some actors who act as star in the network; some isolate individuals who do not get or relate to other parties to obtain information related to landslide disaster.

Abstract

Health service is the main factor that supports the success of development of a region. Various health promotion programs have been carried out in order to succeed in optimizing public services. The purpose of this research is to reveal the implementation of public service held by the health professionals to the patients at Tunjung Teja Puskesmas, Serang District. The research is a case study with a qualitative approach. The study results that there was implementation of public services in therapeutic communications held by the health professionals to the patients in the Tunjung Teja Public Health Center, Serang District, such as the infrastructure services, therapeutic communication services, and information services.

Abstract

The high number of Instagram users caused many producers of goods and services choosing to promote their products through endorsement services carried out by social media influencers. This marketing strategies using influencers is so important because it can help producers of goods and services to create a positive product image by word of mouth and can meet business goals between the two parties. Based on this phenomenon, this study aims to determine the marketing strategies used by Influencers Arief Muhammad and Tasya Farasya, then comparing the number of likes and comments in endorsement videos uploaded on Instagram Feeds that using three types of marketing strategies, namely boasting of company, discount codes, and use of product, both verbally and non-verbally. This study observed as many as 57 endorsement video content obtained from the calculation of the Slovin’s formula, and the hypothesis was testing by using descriptive quantitative content analysis methods and non-parametric inferential statistics. The data collection in this study was carried out by observing the upload of influencer's endorsement videos on the use of marketing strategies in Instagram Feeds which were then coded using a coding book.

Abstract

Stunting is still a hot topic and the main target of the Indonesian Ministry of Health in order to achieve the Golden Indonesia 2024. PKK cadres are the main drivers who play an important role in supporting the success of health programmes in a village. In this case, PKK cadres spread across Citeras, Garut can be said to be the driving force in preventing stunting. The purpose of PPM activities is to increase the competence of PKK cadres in an effort to reduce stunting rates in the Garut area. PPM activities were packaged through Stunting Olympics activities, where there was a ‘Public Speaking’ competition. The competition was attended by PKK cadres spread across Garut which was carried out at the Citeras Health Centre. In this case, Puskesmas Citeras is also a partner of the author's continuous service. This is a positive and interesting activity, where we can be directly involved in interacting with the cadres. The methods used in this community development programme are interactive methods, lecture methods, training, and discussion methods. The author also listens to every presentation of the cadres who practice public speaking competencies on socialising stunting prevention to the local community. The author provides feedback and then motivates the improvement of cadres' public speaking in the socialisation of stunting prevention. The results and achievements of the PPM activities are as an evaluation that can improve the public speaking competencies that cadres should have. The implications of this PPM activity for the community have become a valuable event for cadres in improving public speaking competencies. Likewise, the implications for communication science can also be a reference about the usefulness of public speaking material for the design of other similar PPM activities.
