Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi metode yang efektif dalam menanamkan rutinitas menjalankan ibadah kepada anak-anak usia dini hingga usia sekolah dasar. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh orang tua dan pendidik saat ini adalah kurangnya konsistensi dan motivasi anak dalam melaksanakan ibadah, khususnya shalat lima waktu, membaca AlQur’an, dan doa harian. Sebagai solusi, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penggunaan metode keteladanan, pembiasaan, reward (penghargaan), dan pendekatan emosional. Metode ini dikaji berdasarkan teori perkembangan anak dan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi literatur serta observasi lapangan secara simulatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembiasaan yang konsisten disertai keteladanan orang tua memiliki efektivitas sebesar 85%, diikuti oleh pendekatan emosional sebesar 75% dan metode reward sebesar 65%. Temuan ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi terhadap strategi pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai-nilai keislaman.

Abstract

Konsep makanan halal merupakan aspek fundamental dalam ajaran Islam yang mencerminkan kepatuhan seorang Muslim terhadap perintah syariah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam perspektif Islam terhadap halal food, mulai dari dasar hukum, prinsip-prinsip syariah yang melandasinya, hingga relevansi dan tantangan penerapannya di era globalisasi saat ini. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif berbasis studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi bahwa halal food tidak sekadar aspek hukum agama, tetapi juga mencerminkan dimensi etika, spiritual, dan kesehatan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 87% responden muslim di perkotaan menyatakan label halal sebagai faktor penting dalam memilih produk makanan. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan adanya tantangan dalam sertifikasi halal, standar global, serta kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya konsumsi halal. Dengan demikian, halal food merupakan bagian integral dari gaya hidup Islami yang menuntut kesadaran, pengetahuan, dan keterlibatan berbagai pihak, termasuk pemerintah, industri, dan masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the objectives of Islamic Religious Education based on the thoughts of Abdurrahman Ibnu Khaldun, with a focus on its relevance to contemporary education. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, which involves collecting data through various literatures related to Ibnu Khaldun's views on education, particularly those outlined in his work Muqaddimah. The primary data sources include books, academic articles, and other relevant sources related to this topic. Data collection is carried out through document analysis, examining the content of texts relevant to the objectives of Islamic Religious Education according to Ibnu Khaldun. The results show that Ibnu Khaldun's concept of education encompasses not only intellectual aspects but also the formation of character, morals, and moral understanding. He emphasizes the importance of balancing worldly and spiritual happiness in education, while integrating the development of faith and moral values as an essential part of learning. His ideas are relevant for forming a comprehensive, value-based framework for Islamic Religious Education. The implication of this research is the need to realign the objectives of Islamic Religious Education with the demands of the times, so that religious education can shape individuals who are intellectually capable, morally upright, and prepared to face future social and spiritual challenges.

Abstract

Finding out what kind of religious peace exists among SMK Negeri 9 Medan students was the driving force for this research.  Although the majority of the student body is Muslim, this public school does include some Christian, Catholic, and Buddhist pupils as well.  A descriptive strategy is used in this qualitative investigation.  Interviews, documentation, and observation were the methods used to gather data.  The data analysis followed the steps outlined by Miles and Huberman, which include reducing the data, presenting the data, and making conclusions.  What came out of study entitled "Religious Harmony among Students of SMK Negeri 9 Medan" are that students from various religious backgrounds are able to live in harmony and respect each other. Although the majority are Muslim, there is no discrimination against minority students. They can interact and work together in various school activities without imposing their will or beliefs. This shows that the values of local wisdom and tolerance are still well maintained in the school environment.

Abstract

Keluarga memiliki peran sentral dan fundamental dalam membentuk kepribadian, moralitas, dan spiritualitas anak. Dalam konteks pendidikan Islam, keluarga dipandang sebagai al-madrasah al-l atau sekolah pertama bagi anak. Peran ini menjadi semakin kompleks dalam keluarga militer, di mana praktik pengasuhan menghadapi tantangan akibat tuntutan dinas militer, absennya salah satu orang tua dalam jangka waktu panjang, serta tekanan emosional yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi pengasuhan yang diterapkan dalam keluarga militer serta keterkaitannya dengan ketahanan keluarga dan perkembangan spiritual anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus, yang difokuskan pada keluarga militer di Koramil 02 Tebingtinggi. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi, dengan melibatkan lima keluarga prajurit aktif, satu tokoh agama lokal, dan satu konselor pendidikan anak. Analisis data dilakukan secara tematik menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman, dengan dukungan triangulasi dan member checking untuk memastikan validitas data. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman komprehensif tentang penerapan strategi pengasuhan kontekstual dalam keluarga militer yang mendukung ketahanan emosional dan pertumbuhan spiritual anak di tengah tantangan institusional dan psikologis.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of tawhid education in Al-Iqtishad fi al-I'tiqad by Al-Ghazali and its relevance to contemporary Islamic education, addressing a key research gap, namely the limited systematic articulation of Al-Ghazali’s rational tauhid methods as a pedagogical framework in modern contexts. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive design through library research, utilizing primary data from the main text and supported by relevant secondary literature. Data were collected through literature review and analyzed interpretively to generate conceptual insights. The findings reveal three principal methods of Al-Ghazali’s rational tauhid: (1) the demonstrative-burhani method grounded in logical reasoning, (2) the dialectical-jadali method aimed at refuting opposing views, and (3) the integrative method that harmonizes reason and revelation. These methods position tawhid education not only as a theological construct but also as an epistemological framework that fosters critical, moderate, and adaptive learners. This study contributes academically by offering a structured conceptualization of Al-Ghazali’s tauhid pedagogy and affirms its theoretical significance for advancing the development of contemporary Islamic education that is both rational and contextually responsive.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Ahmad Tafsir’s concept of the educator as articulated in his work Filsafat Pendidikan Islami: Integrasi Jasmani, Rohani, dan Kalbu Memanusiakan Manusia. This study is significant because contemporary Islamic education faces serious challenges, including spiritual degradation, the weakening of character education, and the declining quality and role of educators. This research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were analyzed through careful reading, interpretation, and critical examination of Ahmad Tafsir’s ideas concerning the integration of human potential, the role of educators, and the relevance of these concepts in contemporary Islamic education. The findings reveal that Ahmad Tafsir conceptualizes educators as central agents in the process of humanizing individuals through the integrated development of physical, intellectual, spiritual, and inner (qalb) dimensions. Therefore, educators are not merely transmitters of knowledge but also guides who nurture spirituality, cultivate moral character, and exemplify ethical values. This holistic, tauhid-based educational concept remains highly relevant in addressing the challenges of modern education.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: In the digital era, education and character formation have undergone profound transformations, presenting both unprecedented opportunities and significant moral challenges. While technological advancement enhances access to knowledge and communication, it simultaneously fosters risks of ethical degradation, individualism, and spiritual disorientation. The primary objective of this research is to critically examine Buya Hamka’s conception of religious character education and to assess its contemporary relevance in addressing the moral and spiritual dilemmas emerging within digital society. Methodology: The research employed a qualitative library study, using Buya Hamka’s works as primary sources and relevant scholarly literature as secondary references. Data were examined through content analysis to identify the core meaning of Hamka’s ideas and relate them to the contemporary digital context. Main Findings: Findings show that Hamka emphasized the integration of faith, intellect, and morality in shaping complete human beings. Faith is the moral foundation, intellect enables critical reasoning, and morality guides behavior. This model is especially relevant for the digital age, functioning as a moral filter against excessive information flow and instant culture. Hamka’s perspective demonstrates how Islamic values can provide balance between intellectual, moral, and spiritual needs. Novelty/Originality of this study: The study concludes that Hamka’s framework can be actualized through family, schools, society, and the use of digital technology. His thought is not only philosophical but also practical, offering a contextual model for strengthening the moral-spiritual identity of young generations amid globalization.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The cultivation of spiritual and existential intelligence from elementary school age is a fundamental aspect in shaping a generation that is faithful, virtuous, and capable of understanding the meaning of life. Islamic Education teachers play a strategic role not only as instructors but also as facilitators, motivators, and counselors who guide students toward self-awareness, empathy, and moral resilience. This study aims to explore the role of Islamic Education teachers in fostering students’ spiritual and existential intelligence at State Elementary School 01 Medan City. Methodology: The research employed a qualitative case study approach with purposive site selection, as the school was considered active in guidance practices and open to character development. The main subjects were Islamic Education teachers and the principal. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation, persistence, and member checking. Main Findings: The results show that Islamic Education teachers play a significant role in instilling values of faith, empathy, and awareness of life’s meaning amidst the individualistic challenges of urban environments. Strategies include varied instructional methods, collaboration with parents, and institutional support, all of which strengthen their role in character development. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study highlights how Islamic Education teachers contribute uniquely to integrating spiritual and existential dimensions into education, offering a contextual model for holistic character formation in modern urban schools.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Takrir method in Qur’anic memorization among elementary school students at Balitaku Khatam Quran Super Tanjung Sari Medan and evaluates its effectiveness in improving students’ memorization consistency and retention. The research addresses how repetitive memorization guided by teachers contributes to students’ ability to memorize the Qur’an systematically and effectively at the elementary education level. This study employed a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the consistent application of the Takrir method significantly improves students’ memorization skills, strengthens concentration, and cultivates disciplined learning habits during the memorization process. The study also found that intensive repetition combined with teacher guidance creates positive interactions between teachers and students, making the learning environment more engaging and supportive. This study concludes that the Takrir method is an effective instructional strategy for Qur’anic memorization at the elementary school level because it supports gradual memorization, strengthens long-term retention, and enhances students’ learning motivation and discipline.
