Abstract

This research is an evaluation that aimed to know the process of implementation policy, factors that effected regrouping school program, the effects of regrouping, and how the effectiveness and efficiency of the regrouping program in SD Negeri Tukang 01 and 02, Pabelan, Semarang. This evaluation research used goal-free evaluation with the subject is SD Negeri Tukang 01 and 02 Pabelan. The collecting data used interview, observation, and documentation, then the data analysis was data reduction, data presentation, and drawing the conclusion. The result of this research showed that SD Negeri Tukang 01 and 02 already grouped for 4 years before the Regent's letter published. Then, the students, teachers, government’s rule, and school condition be the factors affected the regrouping program. This regrouping program has several impacts, they answered the teacher need and/or there was a teacher mutation. Then for students, there weren’t much effect because the students already friends, and then increasing the school’s facility. Besides that, regrouping program might increase school quality and the society would not be confused to choose the school for their child. But then, the alumni of these school can be difficult to get legalize for their certificate. This regrouping program is effective and efficient enough to do because the teacher problem can be solved, then the school facility can be maximized and about the budgeting organize by the main school.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the context, input, process, and product of the Principal Managerial Program in a Salatiga Private Elementary School. This study is evaluative research using CIPP models. The data collection includes interviews, documentation studies, and observations. The data validation was technique and resource triangulation. The study results: a) the context evaluation showed the managerial program of principals in private elementary schools is indeed very much needed by school stakeholders; b) the input evaluation showed the principal managerial program has been prepared to meet stakeholder needs, but has not been supported by human resources, funding, and adequate infrastructure; c) the process evaluation showed the principal’s managerial program carried out based on management functions namely: planning, organizing, supervision, and assessment. Even though it is constrained in terms of human resources, funding, and infrastructure, but the principal still can carry out a minimum managerial program, d) the product evaluation showed the Private Elementary School achieves more in the non-academic field than in the academic field, although from year to year there is a slight increase in the quality of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Kemampuan guru dalam Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan (PKB) guru memegang peranan yang sangat penting. Salah satu bentuk peningkatan kemampuan ini adalah Pendidikan dan latihan profesi guru (PLPG). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengukur tingkat efektifitas PLPG dalam PKB, dan menemukan determinan yang menjadi penentu efektifitas PLPG yaitu: komitmen, kemandirian dan kemampuan berpikir aras tinggi (higher order thinking skill, yang disingkat HOTS) guru. Penelitian ini menjaring data dari 31 orang guru peserta PLPG. Data dikumpulkan menngunakan skala penilaian yang terdiri dari 23 item yang sudah teruji valid dan reliabel. Pengolahan  data  berbantuan SPSS versi 20. Penelitian ini berhasil menemukan bahwa bahwa PLPG efektif dalam PKB guru. Terdapat hanya 1 variabel prediktor yaitu Higher Order Thinking Skills yang menjadi determinan efektivitas PLPG dalam PKB guru. Kedua variabel yaitu: kemandirian dan komitmen guru dikeluarkan dari model ini. Kata Kunci:  Efektivitas, PLPG, Higher Order Thinking Skills, Komitmen, Kemandirian Guru.

Abstract

The 112 Semarang State University Rayon 2017 held 6 stages ofTPET (Teacher Professional Education and Training which eachstage consistsof 6 classes) for elementary school teachers. One ofthe goals is toincrease the creativity of theparticipants. Theproblem in this study ishow effective is TPET in increasing teachercreativity? Given that thereare many factors that influence teachercreativity as a manifestation of thesuccess of the TPET, in themanagement of education and training, one ofthe determiningfactors needs to be chosen; which in this study is limitedto theinternal factors of the teacher in question, namely: (1)independence, (2) teacher's understanding and (3) teacherdiscipline after theTPET. The next problem, among others:independence, Teacher's understanding and (3) discipline, whichfactors determine the effectiveness ofTPETin increasing teachercreativity? Data was collected with a rating scale that has beentested valid and reliable.TPETis effective in shaping teachercreativity. There is only 1 predictor variable, namely teachingdiscipline which is a determinant of teacher creativity. Teacherdiscipline influences (positive and significant) on teacher creativityby 35.80%. Both variables: understanding and independence areexcluded from this model.

Abstract

The research problems are: 1) What steps are to take in a program development aimed at improving the quality of school using a fishbone analysis? 2) Is the program model using fishbone analysis  effective and efficient in meeting the school’s needs to improve its quality? This is research and developmental which comprises 3 phases, namely Preliminary Study, Model Development, and Evaluation/Model Testing. The qualitative data come from the input of management experts and the result of interviews/FGD with stakeholders. The quantitative data are obtained from the assessment of management experts on the product draft, the observation sheets for the field study on the standards of education, and the try out. Data analisis on the validation result uses a descriptive analysis technique. Data from the questionnaire are analyzed by descriptive statistical technique. The results are: 1) the developmental steps in the school quality improvement program by way of fish bone analysis have gone through 6 phases, 2) the research product using fish bone diagram has proved to be simple, applicable, important, controllable, as well as adaptable. Furthermore, it is communicable, so that it has been effective and efficient in meeting the school’s needs for making its educational quality improved.

Abstract

This study aims to improve science learning outcomes through methods of Student Teams Achievement Divisions. Action Research (PTK) is conducted in two cycles. The research procedures based on the Kemmis and Mc Tanggart models include planning, action, observation and reflection phases that are adapted to the Student Teams Achievement Divisions.The results obtained from the implementation of cycle I and II, namely an increase learning outcomes after using Student Teams Achievement Divisions. In comparison the initial conditions, the cycle I and II show the initial conditions only 9 students, or 36%, in the first cycle of 16 students or 64% and the second cycle increased to 23 students or 92%. Based on the results concluded that Student Teams Achievement Divisions learning to improve student learning outcomes with indicators of >70%, which indicates success.

Abstract

This study aimed at improving learning outcome in social science using cooperative learning model type Jigsaw in social science. The model was implemented in a primary school. This learning model was developed into 2013 curriculum-based learning. We conducted the study into cycle 1 and cycle 2, each consisted of 3 meetings. The research subjects were 4th grade students. The research design was arranged based on planning, action, and reflection. Results show that there is an increase in the number of students passing the minimum requirement. Therefore, Jigsaw can improve students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining the increase in students’ learning outcomes in social science by applying the student teams achievement divisions (STAD) model with the steps based on Curriculum 2013. This research was a type of a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles in 33 fourth grade students in a primary school in Salatiga in second semester of academic year 2017/2018. Data was collected using test and non-test techniques with help of evaluation test and an observation sheet. Results show improvement of learning outcomes by applying STAD model on social science subjects. The average completeness of learning outcomes increased from pre-cycle to cycle II. At pre-cycle, the average was 57.71 with 31,42% completeness, at cycle I was 68.28 with 50% completeness, and cycle II was 70 with 71.87% completeness.
