Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of probing-prompting model viewed by students critical thinking ability. The population of this research was all students of grade VIII of SMP Negeri 9 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2014/2015 that consist of 7 classes. The sample of this research was students of VIII-C which was taken by purposive sampling technique. This research design was one shot case study. Instrument of this research was essay test of critical thinking. Based on the analysis of data, the percentage of students who have good critical thinking ability was less than 60%. Thus, probing-prompting model was less effective viewed by critical thinking ability.Penelitian kuasi eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model probing-prompting ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdiri dari tujuh kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-C yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah one shot case study. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes uraian berpikir kritis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, persentase siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan baik kurang dari 60%. Dengan demikian, model probing-prompting tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, efektivitas, probing-prompting

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of discovery learning towards student's mathematical problem solving skill. The population of this research was all grade eight students of Junior High School state of 1 Pesawaran  in academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 252 students that were distributed into nine classes. The samples of this research were students of VIII-A as many as 28 students and VIII-B as many as 27 students that were chosen by purposive sampling technique.  The design of this research was pretest-posttest control group design. The research data were obtained by the essays test of  mathematical problem solving skill. Analysis data of the research using non parametric test that is Mann-Whitney U test. Based on the research results and discussion, it was concluded that discovery learning affects the student's mathematical problem solving skill.Keywords: discovery learning, mathematical problem solving Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh discovery learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pesawaran tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 sebanyak 252 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam sembilan kelas. Abstract

This qualitative research aimed to describe the students critical mathematical thinking disposition on Socrates Scientific learning. The subject of this research were the students of class VII-H of SMPN 20 Bandar Lampung 2017/2018 academic year. The data of this research were qualitative data about students critical mathematical thinking disposition which were gotten by observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis technique of this research used three stages, that were reducting, displaying, and getting conclusion of data. The result of the research proved that Students critical mathematic thinking dispotition can be found from all the students in all mathematic ability in Scientific Socrates and it was found indicators of every students were different. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan disposisi berpikir kritis matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran Socrates Saintifik. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-H SMPN 20 Bandar Lampung semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Data penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif mengenai disposisi berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Teknik analisis data menggunakan tiga tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan terhadap data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa disposisi berpikir kritis matematis dapat muncul pada semua siswa dari berbagai kemampuan matematis dalam pembelajaran matematika menggunakan metode Socrates Saintifik dan indikator yang muncul dari setiap siswa disetiap pertemuan berbeda-beda. Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aimed to know the increasing of students mathematical communication skills with realistic approach. The mathematical communication skills is the ability to communicate mathematical ideas clearly to others using mathematical language to express ideas appropriately. The design of this research was one group pretest-posttest control design with the population was all students of grade seventh of SMPN 1 Pagelaran in academic year of 2014/2015 and the sample was students of VII-I class that was determined by cluster sampling technique. The data of mathematical communication skills were obtained by essay test. Based on the analysis of data, it was concluded that learning with realistic approach able to increase students mathematical communication skills.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan pendekatan realistik. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis adalah kemampuan untuk mengomunikasikan pemikiran matematis secara jelas kepada orang lain menggunakan bahasa matematika untuk mengekspresikan ide-ide secara tepat. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group pretest-posttest control design dengan populasi seluruh kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Pagelaran tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 dan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-I yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster sampling. Data kemampuan komunikasi matematis diperoleh dari tes uraian. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan realistik mampu meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi, matematis, pendekatan realistik

Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aim­ed to find out the effectiveness of TTW learning on student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. The population in this research was all students of 7th grade at SMPN 10 Bandarlampung in academic year 2018/2019, which consist of 351 students that distributed into eleven classes. The sample in this research were the students of VII D which consist of 32 students and VII E which consist of 32 students who were selected based on cluster random sampling technique. This research used the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The research data were obtained by the essay test of mathematical conceptual understanding on topic of comparison. t-test and proportion test was used to analyze the data with . Based on the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded that cooperative learning type TTW was not effective in terms of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TTW ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 yang terdiri dari 351 siswa dan terdistribusi dalam 11 kelas.  Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII D sebanyak 32 siswa dan VII E sebanyak 32 siswa yang terpilih berdasarkan teknik cluster random sampling. Abstract

Research and development aims to produce LKPD with an effective scientific approach in terms of the ability to understand the concept of learners. The subject of this research is the students of class VII SMP Negeri 3 Batanghari Lesson Year 2017/2018. The design of this research is Pretest-posttest control group design. Research data obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires and tests the ability of conceptual understanding. The t-test is performed to find out the average difference in conceptual comprehension. LKPD with developed scientific approach has been valid by material experts and media experts. The result of field test showed improvement of students' concept comprehension ability using LKPD with scientific approach showed 74% achievement and average gain of 0.73. Based on the results it can be concluded that LKPD with an effective scientific approach to improve the ability to conceptual understanding of learners.Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKPD dengan pendekatan saintifik yang efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Batanghari Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Desain penelitian ini adalah Pretest-posttest control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, angket dan tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Uji-t dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan rata-rata pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep. LKPD dengan pendekatan saintifik yang dikembangkan telah valid menurut ahli materi dan ahli media. Hasil uji lapangan menunjukan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik yang menggunakan LKPD dengan pendekatan saintifik menunjukkan pencapaian 74% dan rata-rata gain 0,73. Berdasarkan hasil dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD dengan pendekatan saintifik efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik.Kata kunci: LKPD, pemahaman konsep, pendekatan saintifik

Abstract

This experimental research aimed to ana­lyzed the influence of guided discovery learning towards the enhancement of student’s mathematical problem solving skills. The population of this research was students of VIII grade SMP Negeri 1 Gading Rejo in academic year 2018/2019 that distributed into ten classes. Samples of this research were the student of VIII.6 and VIII.8 that were selected through purposive sampling technique. The design of this research was pretest-posttest control grup design. Analysis data of this research used Mann Whitney U test. Based on the research and discussion, the enhancement of stu­dent’s mathematical problem solving skills at guided discovery class is higher than student’s mathematical problem solving skills at convensional class. Therefore, guided discovery learning affects the student’s mathematical problem solving skills. Peneli­ti­­an ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran guided discovery terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Gading Rejo tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 yang terdistribusi dalam sepuluh kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII.6 dan VIII.8 yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji Mann Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, diperoleh hasil bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran guided discovery lebih tinggi dari siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran guided discovery berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.Kata kunci: guided discovery, pemecahan masalah matematis

Abstract

Abstract: The Influence of Cooperative Learning Think Pair Share Type On Improving Mathemtics Communication Skills of Students . This research aimed to know the influence of the application of Think Pair Share learning model on improving student’s mathematical communication skills. The population of this research was all the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Sukoharjo in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year, distributed into nine classes. The sample of this study was students of class VIII-A as the experimental class and class VIII-B as the control class selected through purposive sampling technique. This research design used the pretest-posstest control group design with essay test. Based on the result of research and discussion, it was concluded that the increase in mathematical communication skills of students who participated in think pair share learning was higher than the increase in mathematical communication skills of students who participated in conventional learning. Thus, Think Pair Share learning model affect the improvement of student’s mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This research was aimed to produce students worksheet based on Guide Inquiry and find out its effectiveness towards students mathematical communication. The research subject was grade XI students in SMAN 1 Gedongtataan Pesawaran Lampung, in academic year 2016/2017. The stages of development were research and information collecting, students worksheet prepartion, students worksheet validation, preliminary field testing and main field testing. The data of this research were obtained by observation, interview, questioneirs, and mathematical communication ability test. The content and media expert said that of the students worksheet development was valid. The result of main field testing showed that the students mathematical communication ability that used student worksheet based on Guide Inquiry more than students mathematical communication ability that didnt use students worksheet. In conclusion this research that the students worksheet based on Guide Inquiry was effective to increase students mathematical communication ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKPD yang dikembangkan dengan Model Inquiry Terbimbing dan menguji efektivitasnya terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Gedongtataan Pesawaran Lampung, pada Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Tahapan pengembangan ini yaitu studi pendahuluan, penyusunan LKPD, validasi LKPD, uji coba lapangan awal, dan uji lapangan. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan telah valid menurut ahli materi dan ahli media. Hasil akhir pada uji lapangan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan LKPD berbasis Inquiry Terbimbing lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang tidak menggunakan LKPD berbasis Inquiry Terbimbing. Simpulan penelitian ini bahwa LKPD berbasis inquiry terbimbing efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci : Inquiry Terbimbing, Komunikasi Matematis, LKPD.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran discovery learning ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi Pola Bilangan. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 yang terdistribusi dalam 7 kelas.  Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII-C dan VIII-D yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest posttest control group design. Uji statistik yang digunakan yaitu uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, disimpulkan bahwa discovery learning tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. This experimental aimed to know the effectiveness of discovery learning model in terms of the ability of understanding the mathematical concepts of students in the number pattern material .
