Abstract

Multicultural Islamic education represents an educational paradigm that integrates the normative values of Islam with the essential recognition of cultural, ethnic, and social diversity within society (Zulkarnain et al., 2026; Mashuri et al., 2025). In the sociological context of Indonesia’s pluralistic society, this approach serves as a strategic instrument for fostering students’ character development toward tolerance, moderation, and inclusivity (Takunas et al., 2024; Subhi, 2022). Using a library research method combined with content analysis of recent scholarly literature (Snyder, 2019; Zed, 2014), the findings reveal that multicultural Islamic education extends beyond the mere transmission of religious doctrines; it plays a crucial role as an agent for cultivating harmonious national character (Fahri & Zainuri, 2023; Zulkarnain et al., 2026). Therefore, the effective implementation of this educational approach requires a comprehensive and systemic integration, including the reconstruction of an inclusivity-oriented curriculum, the strengthening of teachers’ pedagogical role modeling as agents of religious moderation, institutional policy support, and the creation of a school ecosystem that promotes universal humanitarian values (Mashuri et al., 2025; Takunas et al., 2024).

Abstract

Although learning resources in the digital era have received considerable attention, research specifically addressing the integration of modern learning resources with the traditional sanad-based learning system in Islamic education remains limited. This study aims to analyze the concept of learning resources from the perspective of Islamic education, explain the nature and urgency of sanad-based learning, and formulate strategies for integrating modern learning resources with Islamic scholarly traditions. A qualitative approach with a library research design was employed, using relevant literature selected through a purposive literature selection strategy. Data were collected through documentation of textual sources and analyzed using content analysis. The findings indicate that learning resources in Islamic education are holistic, encompassing revelational (naqli), rational-empirical (‘aqli and tajribi), and spiritual (irfani) dimensions. Within this framework, teachers serve as central authorities through sanad, which functions as a quality assurance mechanism that ensures the validity, authority, and spiritual value of knowledge. These findings contribute to the development of Islamic educational methodology and extend current understanding of contemporary sanad-based learning platforms and curricula. The study concludes that synergy between modern learning resources and the sanad tradition is essential for maintaining the quality, authenticity, and sustainability of Islamic education in the digital era. The implications include theoretical contributions to Islamic pedagogy and practical guidance for Islamic educational institutions in implementing sanad digitalization, curriculum integration, and adaptive learning platforms. This study also opens opportunities for further empirical research on the challenges of verifying digital sanad authority.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe the marketing strategy of educational services at MTsN 15 Boyolali based on the 7P marketing mix and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal and the public relations vice principal, participant observation, and documentation (brochures, flyers, social media, activity photos). The findings indicate that MTsN 15 Boyolali has implemented the 7P strategy reasonably well. The main strengths include the product (extracurricular activities such as drum band, hadroh, dance, tilawah, futsal, volleyball, scouting, table tennis, and national achievements), flexible pricing policies (fee reductions for outstanding students, discounts for twins/siblings, and health assistance), integrated promotion (all social media, flyers, posters, outreach to elementary schools, and an academic ability test for elementary school students with the top 35 ranks automatically accepted), and physical evidence (new building, mosque, sports field). The supporting factors are the principal's commitment, the enthusiasm of targeted schools, and the attractiveness of extracurricular activities and the new building. The inhibiting factor is competition with established senior schools nearby. The madrasah has been able to maintain its competitiveness with enrollment figures meeting the targets. Recommendations include strengthening digital promotion and consistently highlighting achievements and extracurricular activities.
