Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Critical elements refer to a group of elements that possess strategic significance and play a vital role in the national economy, as well as in national defense and security. These minerals are at risk of supply disruptions and lack suitable substitutes. In clean energy industries, critical elements are particularly important, especially for electric vehicle components. Aligned with national commitments expressed in the G20 Leaders’ Declaration. Nickel laterite deposits are one of the key sources with high potential for critical elements. This research focuses on critical elements in nickel deposits, which are Ni, Co, Mn, Cr and Al, and their resource potential in Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi. The methods used are geochemical data, field data, and reference studies. The methods used in the research include literature study, X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) geochemical analysis of all samples using the Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) method using Microsoft Excel, Data modelling using scatter plot and heatmap of spearman correlation. The findings indicate that the enrichment of critical elements such as cobalt (Co), manganese (Mn), aluminum (Al), and chromium (Cr) is concentrated in the limonite zone and associated with Fe with various ranges of 0.04-0.14% Co, 0.27-1.13% MnO, 1.03-4.60%Cr2O3, 2.82-9.94% Al2O3 content, whereas nickel (Ni) is enriched in the saprolite zone and associated with Mg with a various range 0.5-3.17%Ni. Overall, the concentration of critical elements other than Ni and Co is typically lower in nickel laterite deposits with high nickel content. With continuous advancements in extraction technologies through research, all zones of laterization in nickel laterite deposits, not just the nickel-rich saprolite zone, could be optimally utilized. This would enhance the potential of nickel laterite deposits as a valuable commodity, contributing significantly to the acceleration of the energy transition towards cleaner energy through clean energy-based technologies.

Abstract

Digital transformation in public services is a local government strategy to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and transparency of services. The Surabaya City Government implemented the Surabaya Single Window (SSW) Alfa as an integrated electronic-based licensing and non-licensing service system. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the SSW Alfa Program at the Menur Public Service Center (SPP) in Surabaya City. The study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Research informants consisted of the Head of SPP Menur, service officers, and community users of SSW Alfa services. The program evaluation analysis used William N. Dunn's policy evaluation criteria, including effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and accuracy. The results showed that from the aspects of effectiveness and efficiency, SSW Alfa was able to accelerate the licensing process and save time and service costs. However, from the aspects of adequacy and equity, the program has not fully reached all community needs, especially related to digital literacy and service access. In terms of responsiveness, services are still not optimal due to slow responses to public complaints. Meanwhile, from the aspect of accuracy, SSW Alfa is considered to be in line with community needs and the direction of Surabaya City's e-government policy. This study recommends improving public digital literacy, enhancing officer responsiveness, and enhancing the system so that all services can be accessed digitally without the applicant's physical presence.

Abstract

The study aims to determine and assess the size, profitability, leverage, and liquidity of corporations in relation to the financial difficulties of media and entertainment firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, which saw a fall in earnings between 2021–2024. This study's population was 56 randomly selected samples of secondary data extracted from yearly financial reports. Multiple linear regression was used for the study. The analysis of the data shows that, partially, there is a positive effect of the liquidity variable (CR), a negative effect of the leverage variable (DER), a positive effect of the profitability variable (ROA), and a negative effect of the company size variable. At the same time, 31% of the variance in financial distress is attributable to factors outside the scope of this investigation, while 69% is attributable to the interplay between liquidity, leverage, profitability, and firm size.
