Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve students' mathematics learning achievement by using a team game tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model. Sources of data in this study were students of class VII MTs. Darul Falah Batu Jangkih, totaling 28 people. The research method used is descriptive qualitative classroom action research. From the results of research and discussion, it can be seen that in the first cycle, students have an average value of 72.22 and a classical mastery level of 83.10%. This means that the level of student learning mastery has not been achieved in accordance with the predetermined learning mastery standards. In this cycle, the classical learning completeness did not meet the specified criteria, namely 85%. Based on the results of the second cycle analysis, the average student score was 85.10, and the classical mastery level of students was 95%. This means that student mastery is based on the level of mastery that has been determined in accordance with the provisions that have been determined. Thus, it can be concluded that the TGT type of cooperative learning model can improve student achievement. This happens because in this learning model students are given the opportunity to learn while playing, learn to discuss groups, ask questions, make conclusions, share knowledge by guiding members. the group if there are those who do not understand the material well and students are also not shy to ask questions and discuss with the teacher during the group guidance procession.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to improve teachers' writing skills through the application of Classroom Action Research Training (PTK). This activity is in collaboration with the West Lombok School Principals Group (MKKS) and the Basic Education Quality Improvement Agency (BPMPD) (CLUSTER VI Lingsar District). The training organized involves a series of structured activities designed to improve teacher skills in Compiling and creating research reports Classroom actions which are further amended in the form of research articles. By involving teachers as agents of change, this dedication has succeeded in creating a dynamic and responsive learning environment. In addition, teachers have developed skills of analysis, reflection, and adjustment of their learning practices. Thus, the conclusion of this service confirms that the teachers who participated in the PTK training have been able to understand all the material presented and create a positive impact to develop themselves in the learning process that is inseparable from the implementation of classroom action research (PTK) in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the use of learning technology and motivation for learning mathematics among junior high school students. The participants included 51 junior high school students from grades VII, VIII, and IX, who responded to a questionnaire as the research instrument. The utilization of learning technology was measured through classroom usage frequency, duration of use, and student engagement levels. Meanwhile, motivation for learning mathematics was assessed based on interest in mathematics, confidence in completing tasks, and the desire to acquire additional knowledge. The research findings indicate a positive correlation between the use of learning technology and motivation, as well as academic achievement in mathematics among students. Thus, it is recommended to integrate technology into teaching strategies to enhance students' learning enthusiasm. However, further research is necessary to better understand the influencing factors of this relationship. This study is expected to provide deeper insights for the development of effective teaching strategies aimed at improving the academic performance of junior high school students.

Abstract

Geometry learning, especially on the concept of building space, still faces challenges in delivering abstract material, so students have difficulty in understanding concepts visually and spatially. This study aims to develop learning media for building mathematical geometry on Augmaented Reality (AR) in integrated learning science, technology, engineering, art, mathematic project-based learning and determine the effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes. The research method uses Multimedia Development Life Cycle. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and the test subjects were elementary school students. Data collection instruments used validation sheets and questionnaires. The analysis technique used quantitative descriptive statistical analysis techniques and percentages. The results of Augmaented Reality learning media expert validation are in the very feasible category. Field trials of Augmaented Reality learning media produced were in the very interesting category. The effectiveness test with an N-Gain score of 0.81 shows that Augmaented Reality learning media can improve learning outcomes from before and after using integrated Augmaented Reality learning media-project based learning. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of AR with the STEAM-PjBL learning model in the context of geometry learning, which provides an interactive experience and improves students' understanding of spatial concepts. The broader implications of this research include the potential application of AR in various subjects to improve student engagement and learning outcomes in the digital era.

Abstract

Some of the numeric methods for solutions of non-linear equations are taken from a derivative of the Taylor series, one of which is the Newton-Raphson method. However, this is not the only method for solving cases of non-linear equations. The purpose of the study is to compare the accuracy of several derivative methods of the Taylor series of both single order and two-order derivatives, namely Newton-Raphson method, Halley method, Olver method, Euler method, Chebyshev method, and Newton Midpoint Halley method. This research includes qualitative comparison types, where the simulation results of each method are described based on the comparison results. These six methods are simulated with the Wilkinson equation which is a 20-degree polynomial. The accuracy parameters used are the number of iterations, the roots of the equation, the function value f (x), and the error. Results showed that the Newton Midpoint Halley method was the most accurate method. This result is derived from the test starting point value of 0.5 to the equation root x = 1, completed in 3 iterations with a maximum error of 0.0001. The computational design and simulation of this iterative method which is a derivative of the two-order Taylor series is rarely found in college studies as it still rests on the Newton-Raphson method, so the results of this study can be recommended in future learning.
