Abstract

This recent study explores the impact of parenting styles on the learning styles of students of a raudhatul athfal in Aceh. Eleven parents of the students were taken as research sample and to whom a list of questionnaires was distributed. The questionnaire consisted of 20 questions related to parenting styles, while the other 34 related to learning styles. The results of the research were then analyzed using linear regression statistical formula to see if there was influence of parenting styles on students’ styles in learning. The findings show that the majority of parents carry out authoritative parenting, a few are authoritarian, but none use a permissive way. Besides, it is found that most of children are visual learners, some are auditory and a few are kinesthetic. Of the three children's learning styles, the visual style gets the most dominant influence from parenting, followed by the auditory learning style, and the least is the kinesthetic style.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan konsentrasi belajar siswa dengan menerapkan permainan catur. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode One Group Pretest Posttest Design, 6 orang siswa diteliti dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk mengukur konsentrasi belajar siswa melalui observasi dan angket. Uji N-Gain menentukan besarnya hasil sebelum dan sesudah pengujian setelah di berikan treatment dihitung dengan rumus normalized gain. Berdasarkan hasil rata-rata N-Gain persentase katagori efektivitas tafsiran adalah cukup efektif. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan penggunaan permainan catur dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar siswa

Abstract

Motivation to learn is considered a very important factor for children, especially those living in orphanages. With the motivation given to them by their caregivers, they learn diligently to become human beings who are beneficial to the nation, state and religion. Of course, foster children in orphanages lack facilities and attention to their learning. Increasing the learning motivation of foster children using the group guidance method is an activity that involves all foster children to provide a special motivational boost for foster children when they want to achieve their learning goals. The aim of the research is to determine and increase children`s learning motivation at the muhammadiyah cab. Guguak district fifty cities through group tutoring services. The research use a descriptive qualitative method, this data collection technique is through a process of observation, interview and documentation. The results of this research reveal that there is an increase in the learning motivation of foster children an the muhammadiyah cab. Guguak district fifty cities.
