Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest population in the world. There are tens of thousands of mosques in Indonesia. The preferred mosque is only a worship facility. If you remember in the time of the Prophet, the function of the mosque is not only as a place of worship but also as a social means such as the transfer of knowledge, problems of the Ummah, and so forth. One of the mosques is able to revitalize the mosque in the economic field by conducting fund management procedures with infaq. The method used used field research using descriptive qualitative methods, the primary data source used consisted of interviews with the general chairperson, mosque management, and the Baitul Hakam congregation mosque on Jalan Kalimas Baru No. 121 Perak Timur, Secondary data sources come from books, searches, internet, and articles that discuss this research. The results of the study showed that the infaq aid funds were used for promotional activities using mini markets, mineral water products, and making soy milk so that they needed sufficient funds for the mosque and support the community's needs. With the case study method of the Kembang Karomah farmer group, in this community service, the solution that will be discussed in this paper is product diversity to increase selling prices, then e-marketing to cut middlemen, when providing insights for recording financial reports. The results of this research and community service are that the Kemabang Karomah farmer group is able to increase their knowledge of human resources and is ready to diversify products to anti-pollutant plants, and be able to use e-marketing applications.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the technical efficiency and identify factors that cause technical inefficiency of Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) in managing zakat funds on receipt and the distribution of zakat funds. The data used were time series data from 2002 to2016. The input variables used were total assets and operational costs, while the output variables were the receipt of zakat funds and the distribution of zakat funds. Using stochastic frontier analysis, this study has successfully identified that total assets and operational costs had a positive and significant effect on the receipt of zakat funds. The same results also demonstrated that the operational costs for the distribution of zakat funds had a positive and significant effect. The results for total assets on distribution of zakat funds were positive but not significant. Overall, the technical efficiency regarding the receipt of BAZNAS zakat funds was found to be 94.98 percent, which means that there is 5.02 percent remaining that could still be optimized, while technical efficiency regarding the distribution of BAZNAS zakat funds was found to be 70.99 percent, leaving 29.01 percent that could still be optimized. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to identify and analyze the determinants of liquidity risk in Islamic and conventional banking in Indonesia before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a panel data approach to examine the relationship between liquidity risk with bank-specific and macroeconomic factors before and during the COVID-19 pandemic (2018-2021). By taking samples from 10 Islamic banks and 20 conventional banks operating in Indonesia, this study found that bank-specific factors consist of Capital Adequacy ratio (CAR), Return on Equity (ROE), and Non-Performing loans (NPL) or credit risk affect the liquidity of Syariah banking. While CAR and NPL have no significant effect on conventional bank liquidity, other bank-specific factors, namely ROE, have a considerable effect on the liquidity risk of conventional banking. Meanwhile, macroeconomic factors (GDP growth and inflation) did not affect the liquidity risk of the two banks. Meanwhile, the dummy variable shows no significant effect on liquidity risk in Islamic and conventional banks related to pandemic conditions. Thus, this research is expected to facilitate bankers in making decisions to improve the quality of liquidity management in the two banking systems.
