Abstract

Two-thirds of Indonesia's territory is waters that have a high risk of flooding. Bathymetric surveys are important for flood management because they provide depth and topography data to determine the need for dredging of a water area. Traditional bathymetric surveys produce less than optimal coverage due to limited ship movements. This research aims to develop an automatic bathymetry system using a ping sonar echosounder sensor integrated with a USV (Unmanned Surface Vehicle). The ping sonar echosounder produced by ROVMAKER can generally only be accessed using the built-in software from the ROVMAKER manufacturer and can now be integrated with the microcontroller system on the USV to increase the efficiency of bathymetric system performance. This research also uses the Kalman filter method to reduce sensor reading noise. Validation of the suitability of the sensor shows an average error of 2.94% at a depth of 1400mm and 2.195% at a depth of 2200mm, which shows that the sensor is classified as suitable for use. The optimal noise reduction in the Kalman filter experiment is at a variance ratio (R/Q) of 1000 with an RMSE of 5.05mm at a depth of 1400mm and 3.99mm at a depth of 2200mm. This system has been proven to increase the accuracy of bathymetric data and system access efficiency.

Abstract

Kata kunci : uji manuver, GPS, orientation sensor, maneuvering plotABSTRACTMaritime industrial development have an impact on the development of the shipping industry in Indonesia. In line with many shipping industry that stands so many new ships are produced where ships must meet standardized quality and performance, to the ship must pass the test performance (performance test). One performance test conducted was maneuvering test. In the test maneuvering necessary GPS equipment is relatively expensive. In addition the results of performance tests conducted inefficient because the recorded data of GPS is not automatically stored in a file at the same time period. Data recording process is done manually by several people who allow typographical errors. If the data has been obtained, the program must be run to get the patterns of maneuver. The sequence of work is felt to be inefficient conventional for the shipping industry players such as shipbuilding. This study discusses the data collection process at the time of test performance using a smartphone device based on Android that has been integrated with GPS and orientation sensors to retrieve data latitude, longitude, heading the ship, and the ship's speed. Results of this study are the data that can generate patterns of maneuver and can be used as a reference test results maneuvering test.Keyword: maneuvering test, GPS, orientation sensor, maneuveringNikmati pengalaman bermain slot zeus, grafis epik dan fitur bonus hadir untuk meningkatkan peluang kemenangan.

Abstract

The Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROV) has several inspection functions. One of them is the inspection function for hull damage. The damage that often occurs in the hull is corrosion. The corrosion can cause a decrease in the strength of the hull plate, reduce the speed of the ship, and decrease the quality of the safety level of ships and passengers. This study aims to classify the level of corrosion intensity on ship hulls by implementing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Identification is carried out on images taken by underwater cameras via a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). The intensity of the area affected by corrosion is identified so that the level of corrosion intensity can be classified and it can be considered that the ship needs maintenance to prevent even greater losses due to corrosion. The dataset used is 240 image data divided into 3 classification categories: low, medium, and high corrosion intensity. The accuracy of the real-time testing of the CNN method on the dataset plate when conditions outside the water reached 91.1% and on the dataset plate when conditions underwater reached 86.6%.

Abstract

The lack of reliable and affordable emergency communication technologies often constrains maritime safety for traditional fishing vessels in Indonesia. This paper presents a multinode maritime emergency communication system that integrates Haversine-based GPS positioning with LoRa-enabled multi-hop networking. The proposed system provides automated SOS generation, adaptive routing based on vessel proximity, and real-time data visualization through a cloud-based monitoring dashboard for harbor authorities. The hardware architecture incorporates GPS, gyroscope, magnetometer, water level, and temperature sensors, as well as an ESP32 microcontroller, enabling low-power and long-range communication tailored for small-scale fisheries. Field experiments conducted with traditional fishing vessels validated the system’s performance, achieving 0% packet loss, a stable average RSSI of –90 dBm, and consistent end-to-end delays of 8–13 seconds across all multi-hop SOS transmissions. Compared with conventional single-hop LoRa deployments, the proposed framework enhances coverage, resilience, and adaptability in dynamic maritime environments. These results confirm the system’s feasibility as a cost-effective, energy-efficient, and scalable solution for improving safety and emergency response in traditional fishing operations.
