Abstract

The educational curriculum is continuously changing according to technological developments. The Merdeka Curriculum is here to perfect the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. Implementation of the 2013 curriculum at the elementary school level is carried out through integrated thematic learning. This study aims to analyze the difficulties faced by teachers in implementing integrated thematic learning in the 2013 curriculum in elementary schools. This research uses a mixed-methods approach and uses a literature review technique to examine the difficulties of implementing integrated thematic learning. This mixed-methods study involved 133 elementary school teachers in Payakumbuh City as respondents. The research instrument was a closed statement questionnaire about the difficulties faced by the teacher and an open question questionnaire about the reasons and causes of the difficulties. The results of the research show that the main difficulties experienced by teachers in planning, implementing, and assessing integrated thematic learning are that teachers have difficulty in preparing learning media to facilitate the achievement of basic competencies (39.9%), teachers have difficulty connecting concepts between subjects so that the separation between subjects in the lesson is not very clear (50.4%), and teachers have difficulty assessing student portfolios (47.4%). Teachers say that they find it difficult to determine the right learning model, method, or strategy that covers all the material and students' needs. Teachers also have difficulty implementing integrated thematic learning with several subjects that require a lot of time.

Abstract

This research is motivated by observations that show the lack of additional teaching materials in schools that facilitate students in communicating mathematical ideas (symbols, pictures, and graphs) as well as concepts related to fractions by presenting the surrounding environment as a source of learning. This study aims to reveal the validity level of mathematics e-modules on fractional material based on the RME approach developed. The type of research used is research and development, and the research model used is the ADDIE model, namely the analysis stage, development stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The validity sheet is the instrument used in this study. Researchers analyzed validation sheets with a scale of 5 (five) to determine the quality of the e-modules developed. The results of material expert validation got a score of 0.9  with a very valid category; media expert validation got a score of 0.89 with a very valid category; and linguist validation got a score of 0.9 with a very valid category. So, the mathematics e-module on fractional material based on the RME approach is valid and feasible to use as a mathematics module, especially fractional material, because it has met the assessment criteria.

Abstract

Lack of support for learning facilities owned by students in learning cartography, especially in making digital maps, causes less achievement of learning objectives. Learning to make digital maps using the PJBL model and carried out in the form of Lesson Study activities The purpose of this research is to describe Learning to make digital maps using the PJBL model and implemented in Lesson Study activities The method used is descriptive which describes in full the information obtained by researchers from the implementation of lesson studies. The results obtained in the Do stage for positive things are, First, there is a high enthusiasm from some students to learn, second, students gain new knowledge in making digital maps. While for the negative things are First, one computer is used by several students, second, the number of students is too large for the type of skills courses, and third, students are less focused on learning. The See stage is first, the need for lecturers to pay attention to the number of students in one class, second, the need for lecturers to make preparations before learning begins.

Abstract

This research was quasi-experimental with a population of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 06 Lasi Mudo and SD Negeri 08 Kubang Duo, Canduang District. Research data was obtained from test results and questionnaires. In addition, data analysis indicated a significant difference in the ability to solve Fraction problems between the inquiry and conventional models. The results of data analysis using the two-way ANOVA test obtained a sig value of 0.04 < 0.05 indicated a significant difference in learning outcomes between the inquiry and conventional models in learning motivation, but for low motivation, the sig. of 0.746>0.05 concluded that there was no significant influence between the inquiry model and learning motivation. The test results of learning models and learning motivation on Fraction problem-solving abilities through the two-way ANOVA test obtained an f-count of 3.123 with an F-table of 4.034. It showed no interaction happened between inquiry, conventional learning models, and learning motivation in Fraction problem-solving abilities in elementary schools.

Abstract

Abstract

This teaching module is designed to implement the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach in mathematics learning in elementary schools (SD). PBL is a learning method that focuses on solving real problems as a learning center, allowing students to learn actively and contextually. Through this approach, students not only gain an understanding of mathematical theories, but are also trained to think critically and creatively in solving mathematical problems related to daily life. This module includes a variety of activities involving problem solving, group discussions, exploration of mathematical concepts, and the application of mathematical knowledge in real-life situations. The topics discussed are adapted to the mathematics curriculum in elementary school, such as measurement, geometry, numbers, and basic operations, which are presented in the form of contextual problems that are relevant to the student's surrounding environment. The application of the PBL approach in mathematics learning is expected to increase learning motivation, problem-solving skills, and a deeper and more applicable understanding of mathematical concepts for students. Thus, this teaching module aims to create a more enjoyable and meaningful learning experience for students, as well as support the achievement of higher mathematical competencies at the elementary level.
