Abstract

Learning will be successful if students do not memorize the information they obtain but can criticize the information they obtain, relate their condition and the surrounding environment to this information, and use it to make changes. This research was conducted to measure the level of critical thinking of junior high school students in the City of a Thousand Rivers on natural science subject matter based on local wisdom. The research results illustrate that students' critical thinking skills still tend to be low, this requires continuous improvement to train students' critical thinking skills to achieve one of the educational goals.Keywords: Critical Thinking Skills, Mapping, Middle School Students.Pembelajaran akan berhasil ketika siswa bukan menghafalkan informasi yang didapatkannya, tetapi mampu mengkritisi informasi yang diperolehnya, mampu menghubungkan kondisi diri dan sekitarnya dengan informasi tersebut, dan menggunakannya untuk melakukan suatu perubahan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengukur tingkat berpikir kritis peserta didik SMP di Seribu Bungai pada materi pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam berbasis kearifan lokal. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik masih cenderung rendah, hal ini mengharuskan adanya perbaikan berkelanjutan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik demi mencapai salah satu tujuan pendidikan.Kata kunci: Kearipan Lokal, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis, Pemetaan, Peserta Didik SMP.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of technology-based Islamic education policies at SMAN 4 Kuala Nagan Raya, focusing on the challenges and opportunities in utilizing Canva as a learning medium. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study reveal three main findings: Limited infrastructure, such as unstable internet access and a lack of digital devices, hinder the optimization of technology-based learning; Low digital competence of teachers in using Canva and other educational platforms due to lack of training; Student behavior that is not yet fully adaptive to digital learning, indicated by the dominance of gadget use for entertainment rather than learning. However, this study also identifies opportunities for development, such as the enthusiasm of young teachers for technological innovation and the potential for collaboration with digital service providers. Further analysis shows the gap between national policies (such as Merdeka Belajar) and implementation at the local level, which requires a context-based approach and ongoing support. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of improving infrastructure, practical teacher training, and cultivating digital literacy to encourage effective transformation of Islamic education in the digital era.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus yang tidak ditangani akan menimbulkan komplikasi salah satunya luka Ganggren. Luka Ganggren bisa diatasi dengan cara perawatan luka yang baik dan benar dengan beberapa hal antara lain mengangkat jaringan mati, menghilangkan nanah, menjaga kelembaban luka dan menunjang masa penyembuhan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan lama penyembuhan luka ganggren di Klinik Istiqamah Krueng Barona Jaya. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif korelasi melalui desain atau pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pasien yang mengalami luka ganggren dan mendapatkan perawatan dari Klinik Istiqamah Krueng Barona Jaya, yaitu sebanyak 51 orang, sedangkan sampel sebanyak 16 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel adalah Accidental Sampling. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Klinik Istiqamah Krueng Barona Jaya pada Juni 2022. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa ada hubungan usia dengan lama penyembuhan luka ganggren di Klinik Istiqamah Krueng Barona Jaya (p value = 0,008), ada hubungan nutrisi dengan lama penyembuhan luka ganggren di Klinik Istiqamah Krueng Barona Jaya (p value = 0,008), ada hubungan perawatan luka dengan lama penyembuhan luka ganggren di Klinik Istiqamah Krueng Barona Jaya (p value = 0,008), ada hubungan berat ringannya luka dengan lama penyembuhan luka ganggren di Klinik Istiqamah Krueng Barona Jaya (p value = 0,035), ada hubungan nilai pemeriksaan GDS dengan lama penyembuhan luka ganggren di Klinik Istiqamah Krueng Barona Jaya (p value = 0,035) dan ada hubungan riwayat penyakit lain dengan lama penyembuhan luka ganggren di  Klinik Istiqamah Krueng Barona Jaya (p value = 0,000). Disarankan kepada pelayanan kesehatan selain memberikan pelayanan pemulihan luka, ada baiknya disertai dengan peningkatan pemberian pendidikan kesehatan kepada responden. Dan disarankan juga kepada masyarakat agar dapat melalukan perawatan luka secara teratur, sehingga kondisi luka ganggren dapat berkurang. Kata kunci: lama penyembuhan, luka ganggren, diabetes mellitus. The ignorance of Diabetes Mellitus disease wound care impacts severe complications. One of the impacts is Gangrene. Gangrene wounds can be cured with good and proper wound care. It can be cured by removing dead tissue, removing pus, maintaining wound moisture, and also supporting the healing period. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the duration of Gangrene wound healing in Istiqamah Clinic Krueng Barona Jaya. This research was a descriptive study using a cross-sectional design approach. The population of this study was 51 patients who had Gangrene wounds and received treatment from Istiqamah Krueng Barona Jaya Clinic. Among them, only 16 people were selected as the sample of this study. This study used the Accidental Sampling technique. This research was carried out in the Istiqamah Krueng Barona Jaya Clinic, in June 2022. The study revealed some results: there was a relationship between age and the duration of Gangrene wound healing with a p-value = 0.008; there was a relationship between wound care and the duration of Gangrene wound healing; with a p-value = 0.008; there was also a relationship between the severity of the wound and the duration of Gangrene wound healing with p-value = 0.035; there was a relationship between the value of the GDS examination and the duration of Gangrene wound healing with p-value = 0.035, and there was a relationship between the history of other diseases and the duration of healing of Gangrene wounds with p-value = 0.000. This study recommends that health services must provide wound recovery services. The local health centers also should educate the societies on how to handle diabetes mellitus wound care. Further, this study suggests that the public has to be able to carry out wound care regularly so that the condition of Gangrene wounds can be minimized.Keywords: healing time, gangrene wound, diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

The conventional education system has been dominated by an approach emphasizing logical-mathematical and linguistic intelligence, as measured through IQ tests. The theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI) developed by Howard Gardner states that humans have eight types of intelligence: linguistic, logical-mathematical, musical, visual-spatial, kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic. This study aims to examine how the theory of Multiple Intelligences can be applied in the education and self-development system to accommodate the diversity of individual potential optimally. This research uses a literature study method by examining various scientific sources related to MI, education, and self-potential development. The study results show that the MI-based learning approach encourages the application of more diverse, inclusive, and adaptive teaching strategies to students' learning styles. On the other hand, individuals who understand their intelligence profile can design appropriate learning strategies, choose educational and career paths more consciously, and develop potential in a balanced personal and social aspect. MI theory expands the scope of holistic education and becomes an important foundation in shaping reflective, independent, and competitive individuals.

Abstract

The ability to develop Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions is a critical competency emphasized in the Merdeka Curriculum, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the elementary level. However, the literacy of PAI teachers in designing HOTS questions remains low in the Simeulue Tengah District. This study aims to assess PAI teachers' literacy in formulating HOTS questions, their participation in Teacher Working Groups (KKG), and the main barriers to effective KKG utilization. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using both open- and close-ended questionnaires distributed to 12 PAI teachers from 10 elementary schools. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings indicate that although 66.7% of teachers found the KKG beneficial for developing HOTS questions, participation levels were low: 58% rarely attended KKG activities, and only 25% felt significantly supported. The main barriers identified include time constraints due to workload and household responsibilities, minimal support from principals and supervisors, limited access to resources such as digital media and contextual teaching materials, low teacher awareness of the benefits of KKG, and training sessions that are often too theoretical and lack contextual relevance. To optimize the effectiveness of KKG, training must be more practical and context-based, with sustained pedagogical discussions and stronger institutional support. Strengthening the role of KKG is essential for enhancing PAI teachers’ capacity to develop HOTS questions and, ultimately, to improve the quality of religious education.

Abstract

Rendahnya prestasi siswa dalam PPKn, khususnya materi Keberagaman Budaya Bangsa, disebabkan oleh keterbatasan keterlibatan siswa dan pendekatan yang berpusat pada guru. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbantuan video animasi terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 11 Mendo Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pretest Posttest. Sampel terdiri dari 33 siswa kelas IV SDN 11 Mendo Barat yang diambil menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model PjBL berbantuan video animasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa, dengan skor rata-rata pretest 10,88 dan posttest 13,94. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan thitung 4,196 ttabel 1,694 dan p-value 0,000 0,05, membuktikan pengaruh positif model PjBL terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

In Islam, the journey of human life encompasses five main phases: the Realm of the Spirit, the Womb, Worldly Life, Barzakh, and the Hereafter. Each of these phases holds profound significance in understanding the human being as a moral and spiritual entity. This research aims to examine the human life journey from the realm of the soul to the afterlife from an Islamic perspective, and to explore the spiritual and moral values within each phase that are essential for character building and Islamic education. This study adopts a qualitative descriptive method through content analysis of the Qur’an, hadith, and relevant Islamic scholarly works. The findings reveal: (1) the Realm of the Spirit, where every soul testified to Allah’s oneness; (2) the Womb, the phase of physical development and the infusion of the soul; (3) Worldly Life, a temporary stage of trial, responsibility, and worship as Allah’s vicegerent; (4) Barzakh, the transitional stage between death and resurrection; and (5) the Hereafter, the eternal stage of reward or punishment based on one’s deeds. Each phase emphasizes key spiritual and moral responsibilities, which shape an individual’s character and deepen their religious consciousness. A holistic understanding of these stages encourages Muslims to live with purpose, striving for righteousness in this world while preparing for the ultimate goal eternal happiness in the Hereafter. This research contributes to the advancement of knowledge, particularly in the field of self-understanding within Islamic thought.

Abstract

Krisis moral yang terjadi di kalangan generasi muda, seperti lemahnya rasa tanggung jawab, rendahnya kedisiplinan, dan tingginya rasa malu yang menghambat partisipasi, menjadi persoalan serius dalam dunia pendidikan saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam kontribusi guru sebagai figur teladan, peran lingkungan pesantren dalam pembentukan karakter, serta pendekatan personal yang digunakan dalam memberikan nasihat kepada siswa yang mengalami hambatan moral. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi pada beberapa institusi pendidikan formal dan pesantren. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa keteladanan guru dalam sikap dan perilaku memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap penguatan karakter siswa. Selain itu, lingkungan pesantren yang terstruktur dan sarat nilai religius terbukti efektif dalam menumbuhkan sikap disiplin dan tanggung jawab. Di samping itu, pendekatan personal yang dilakukan guru melalui pemberian nasihat secara langsung terbukti lebih diterima oleh siswa, khususnya dalam mengatasi rasa malu dan meningkatkan rasa percaya diri. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa strategi penguatan karakter siswa dalam menghadapi krisis moral generasi muda perlu didukung oleh keteladanan guru, lingkungan pendidikan yang mendukung, dan pendekatan interpersonal yang empatik.

Abstract

The poetry of Thayeb Loh Angen, a prominent Acehnese poet, embodies profound personal and cultural values that resonate deeply with the lived experiences of society. This study aims to identify and critically analyze the character values embedded in his poetic works. The central research question addresses how these values are articulated through literary devices and thematic structures within his poetry. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, this research utilizes content analysis to examine the dominant themes and moral messages conveyed. The findings reveal that core character values—such as religiosity, wisdom, patriotism, environmental awareness, justice, and humanity—are consistently reflected across his body of work. These values are conveyed through symbolic language, metaphor, and a lyrical style rooted in Acehnese tradition, evoking emotional depth and moral reflection in readers. The study concludes that Thayeb Loh Angen’s poetry serves not only as an artistic expression but also as an effective medium for character education, offering meaningful insights into ethical behavior, social responsibility, and cultural identity, particularly within the Acehnese context.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas Pejabat Pengelola Informasi dan Dokumentasi (PPID) di Badan Pengawas Pemilu Kota Surabaya dalam mempromosikan keterbukaan informasi publik, menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Fokus penelitian ini pada tiga indikator efektivitas: pencapaian tujuan, integrasi, dan adaptasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa meskipun PPID secara efektif menyediakan informasi publik secara terbuka dan luas, mencapai tujuan utamanya, usaha integrasinya melalui sosialisasi dan koordinasi belum cukup terarah. Selain itu, meskipun sumber daya manusia sesuai dengan kebutuhan operasional PPID, terdapat keterlambatan dalam pengumpulan data karena beban kerja yang berat di berbagai divisi. Studi ini menyoroti perlunya strategi sosialisasi yang lebih fokus dan perbaikan proses internal untuk meningkatkan efektivitas layanan informasi publik yang ditawarkan oleh lembaga pemerintah.
