Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan formulasi dan adopsi kebijakan pendidikan yang dilakukan di pondok pesantren Hidayatul Muhsinin, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi dari upaya mengungkap eksistensi dari pesantren sebagai suatu lembaga pendidikan tradisional yang terbukti masih dapat bertahan di tengah arus globalisasi dan perkembangan zaman, serta semakin ketatnya persaingan antara lembaga-lembaga pendidikan modern yang bersifat kekinian. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sedangkan untuk instrumen pengumpulan data penelitian adalah berupa wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa formulasi dan adopsi kebijakan pendidikan yang berlangsung di pondok pesantren Hidayatul Muhsinin dilakukan melalui enam tahapan, antara lain: a) Identifikasi masalah kebijakan, b) Penyusunan agenda, c) Perumusan kebijakan, d) Pengesahan kebijakan, e) Implementasi kebijakan, dan f) Evaluasi kebijakan. Selain itu, kebijakan pendidikan yang ada di pondok pesantren Hidayatul Muhsinin disusun oleh Kyai, Kepala Sekolah, Ustadz dan guru dengan melibatkan komite sekolah.

Abstract

From the perspective of an Islamic scholar from Pontianak, Abdul Rani Mahmud (1912 – 1993 AD), this study aims to reveal the character values that should be attached to leaders in carrying out their roles, duties, and functions. The main source for this study is a typed text by Abdul Rani Mahmud, which was analyzed using a qualitative method. According to the findings of this study, a leader is someone who genuinely wants to be the mouthpiece of the people he leads, and who sincerely wants to be able to fight for what has become a common goal and benefit. A leader's leadership character should include eight characteristics: 1) intelligence (fathonah), 2) trustworthiness, 3) fairness, 4) honesty (shidiq), 5) hard work (ikhtiar), 6) religiosity, 7) responsibility, and 8) populism.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the practice of integration science and religion in Islamic Religious Colleges or Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI), and various obstacles in realizing it. For that reason, researcher used library research (qualitative library research) with qualitative methods to get research conclusions. The data collection of this study, used instruments of observation and documentation techniques. Based on the the library research result, the conclusions are: 1) Integration of science and religion is implemented with different interpretations in each PTKI. 2) the percentage of general knowledge and religious education content is not proportional with PTKI. 3). It is not known certainty the number of research and community service practices by lecturers with general expertise and lecturers with ​​religious expertise, so are as collaboration between the two as both and the standards for the achievement of those goals.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the phenomenon of the fragility of the concept of ethnic identity in a multicultural society. Ethnic identity does not exclusively refer to something that is permanently attached to an individual. Rather, it also has to do with something that experiences development and transformation on the basis of the individual’s religious belief (religion). Indeed, ethnic identity oftentimes is associated with differences in race, religion, birthplace, and historical background. These differences, however, do not mater when individuals convert to Islam. Conversion to Islam as a consequence affects the extent to which individuals’ different ethnic identity is recognized as part of other ethnic identities. We conducted this study among ethnic Dayaks, Malays and Chinese in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Data were obtained by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The main finding of the study reveals that ethnic backgrounds did not play a convincing role in the practice of multilateral social interactions. In this context, ethno-religious similarity more so than other factors easily unite members of ethnic groups. Here then lies the cycle of ethnicity that has returned to the classical phase wherein ethnic formation is not only determined by historical background, territory, and blood relations, but also religion.

Abstract

Incresingly and rapidly technology progress encouraging on more improving user amount of internet base services. Various features on internet base services creating people start to change from conventional media forms books, megazines and newspapers into online base media. Not only as consumer, some becomes part of spreading information especially in social network. Then,from this services people can share thoughts, opinions, knowledges, ideas or communications sharing only without knowing time and place. Although on the other side social media existence not always have positive impact, some part of it individually or group using this services as way to do various criminal acts, other has pragmatic characters and apathetic with social media as long as not bothering personal interests. Based on this,the writing will peeling more about how utilization social media on community especially on academician community aspects. Key words: literation, social media and academician community.

Abstract

Education reformation that slowly run makes the potential of islam education of institution that existed has not discover not only from the professionalism side of educators but also the lack abdorption of graduated student from islam education of institution. There is no balancing numbers out put of graduated student with the job opportunities every year. So that, the rejuvenation of currucullum in Islam education of institution has to be priority especially dealing with other south east country approading ASEAN Economic Community (MEA).Hope fully, curriculum development increases graduated competency that oriented to find a job become to create a job opprortunities. Curriculum is an education tool as the answer to needs and challenges not only as an instrument to achieve education purposes, but also as “The Heart of Education” in the process. There fore a good curriculum will become investation for better quality of education. Nevertheless a bad curriculum will produce worse quality of education.

Abstract

Slavery is a form of employing a person and putting him/her under the control of another. Such control includes restriction, use of physical energy or perhaps even his/her mind without compensation such as a decent wage or other forms of respect. Slavery does not always appear in the form of physical pressure, but it can also be in the psychological form by demanding someone to do something for the interests of another due to power, indebtedness or religious texts. Traces of slavery in the course of human history, in fact, have been found since ancient times in Mesopotamia, Egypt, Europe or Arabia. It can also be found in the practice of Abrahamic religions such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. So it is undeniable that slavery is not a novelty and will always appear in the historical journey of human life with a variety of forms. The Islam religion brought by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), as one of the Abrahamic religions is basically against slavery. It can be seen from the history and from its teachings against the practice of slavery. Islam also strongly advocates respect for the rights of a slave especially for labor. Therefore, all forms and manifestation of slavery, including in the field of education must be resolved immediately.

This study aims to provide a general description of the implementation of multicultural education during the New Habit Adaptation. This as an impact on Coronavirus Diseases 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic and the implementation of social distancing and physical distancing policies to minimize the spread of the outbreak. The method in this study is used a qualitative method with a research design is library research. Meanwhile, the research instruments used in this research are documentation and observation. Based on the results of the research, it shows the implementation of multicultural education in New Habit Adaptation, is to insert the values ​​of multicultural education in the core competencies of learning both online, through applications such as WhatsApp groups, zoom, and google classrooms, and through offline such as by using student handbooks, Student Worksheets, and others. The forms of program activities that can be carried out in implementing multicultural education include a) (content-oriented programs, b) student-oriented programs, and c) socially-oriented programs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan upaya pembentukan karakter kepemimpinan pada peserta didik melalui pendekatan pembelajaran mendalam (deep learning). Adapun metode yang digunakannya dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif, sedangkan untuk instrumen penelitiannya dilakukan dengan observasi dan dokumentasi serta proses analisa data yang dilakukan secara kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai-nilai kepemimpinan yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini, meliputi sikap dan perilaku inovatif, kreatif, keadilan, kebijaksanaan, kesederhanaan, mengutamakan musyawarah mufakat dan kejujuran. Selain itu, nilai-nilai tersebut dapat merujuk pada nilai-nilai yang telah dicontohkan oleh Rasulullah Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam berupa sifat dan perilaku siddiq (jujur), amanah (dapat dipercaya), tabligh (menyampaikan) dan fathonah (cerdas). Adapun bentuk dari pembelajaran mendalam (deep learning) dapat dipraktikkan dengan pendekatan substantif dan reflektif. Selain itu, proses tersebut hendaknya disinergikan dengan peran dan fungsi lembaga pendidikan Islam, yaitu keluarga, madrasah dan masyarakat.

Abstract

Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) is one of the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. Pesantren can produce the next generation of the nation who have the capability to carry the message of da’wah to various regions based on the sources of Islamic teachings, namely the Qur’an and Hadiths. This is as carried out by Pondok Pesantren Al-Ihsan (English: Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School) which is located at Jalan Cibiru Hilir No. 23, Cibiru Hilir Village, Cileunyi, Bandung Regency. This study aimed at reviewing the characteristics of Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School through a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats). In this study, the researcher applied a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Furthermore, the data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Results indicate that Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School has at least six characteristics that distinguish it from other Islamic boarding schools, namely (1) integrality, (2) moderateness, (3) inclusivity, (4) holistic feature, (5) simplicity, and (6) Islam amaliy. These six characteristics are the strengths of Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School when compared to other Islamic boarding schools around it. Meanwhile, its weaknesses are technology advancements and the swift current of globalization. Therefore, the six characteristics possessed by Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School often face limited quality of human resources and problems related to the adjustment to the management of digital-based educational and institutional activities. Furthermore, the opportunities possessed by Al-Ihsan Islamic Boarding School are found in its moderateness and inclusivity characteristics so that this Islamic boarding school tends to be able to adapt to the times. The threats faced with its moderateness and inclusivity characteristics are the possibility of an identity crisis that may undermine the meaning and spirit of Islamic boarding school education systems.
