Abstract

Ubi jalar merupakan bahan makanan yang sudah tidak asing bagi masyarakat di Indonesia. Masyarakat mengenal ubi jalar sebagai bahan makanan yang murah dan mengenyangkan, namun masih banyak yang belum memahami bahwa ubi jalar mengandung berbagai senyawa yang berguna bagi kesehatan. Ubi jalar juga bisa diolah menjadi aneka makanan kekinian yang menarik minat untuk mengkonsumsi ubi jalar. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini diberikan penyuluhan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang manfaat ubi jalar bagi kesehatan dan cara mengolah ubi jalar yang bervariasi dan bisa menjadi ide usaha. Kegiatan pengabdian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei – Juni 2022 bertempat di Desa Triyagan, Kecamatan Mojolaban, Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Metode kegiatan dengan cara penyuluhan dan praktek. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 34 orang ibu. Materi pengabdian dapat diterima dengan baik dan menambah wawasan tentang manfaat ubi jalar bagi kesehatan. Kegiatan praktek pengolahan dapat dilakukan dengan baik dan meningkatkan keterampilan ibu-ibu dalam mengolah ubi jalar menjadi berbagai hidangan yang menarik.

Abstract

Curly red chili (Capsicum annum L.) is a horticultural plant that has high economic value. So many people are cultivating it. Chili plants are susceptible to the attack of Plant Disrupting Organisms (OPT) which can decrease the production yield and quality of chili harvests. One of the potentially damaging Plant Disrupting Organisms is pests, whose presence in chili plants is very diverse. The life cycle and eating activities are very detrimental to farmers because it will reduce the yield of chili plants. The purpose of this study is to find out the diversity of pest types and to determine the rate of attack from fruit fly pests (Bactrocera dorsalis) on the curly red chili plant (Capsicum annum L.). Research has been carried out in Cabeyan Village, Bendosari district, Sukoharjo. October 1, 2020 – February 28, 2021. The study used observational, descriptive, and interview methods. Data collection is done directly and sampling using random sampling methods. In this study found several types of pests consisting of 12 species divided into 11 species into phylum Artropoda and 1 Species of Phylum Mollusca. As well as the rate of attack of fruit flies (Bactrocera dorsalis) with the highest average intensity of attack at 76% of the attack scale is very heavy.

Abstract

Lettuce (Lactusa sativa L.) is one of the vegetable commodities that can be grown in tropical and subtropical areas. This research was conducted in March-June at the Green House of FP.UTP. This study uses the factorial method with a completely randomized design (CRD), a factorial pattern consisting of two factors. 1) Use of a Pump (P0: Without a Water Pump (Aquarium Pump) and Air Pump (Aerator), P1: Using only a water pump, P2: Using only an air pump, P3: A combination of using a water pump and air pump. 2) use of planting media (S) Rockwool; cocopeat, moss, repeated three times. The results showed 1) Pump use treatment (P) had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf width (cm), fresh plant weight (g), dry weight plants (g), consumption weight (g), number of leaves consumed (strands), and root length (cm) on the growth of lettuce (Lactusa sativa L). 2) The treatment using media (S) had a very significant effect on the fresh weight parameters of the roots (g). It significantly affected the root volume parameters (mm) on the growth of lettuce (Lactusa sativa L). 3). The combination of pump and media treatment had a significant effect on the root volume parameter (mm) on the growth of lettuce (Lactusa sativa L). 4). The best result, namely the consumption weight, was achieved in the P3S2 treatment (Combination of treatment using a pump and cocopeat media) with a value of 119.33 g.

Abstract

Kebutuhan pangan semakin meningkat seiring dengan bertambahnya jumlah penduduk, tetapi ketersediaan lahan untuk areal pertanian sebagai tempat menghasilkan pangan semakin berkurang. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan ketersediaan pangan adalah dengan pemberdayaan keluarga untuk bertanam tanaman pangan di pekarangan rumah. Meskipun lahan terbatas bukan menjadi hambatan untuk bertanam. Ada berbagai cara yang bisa digunakan untuk bertanam di lahan sempit. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan warga di Desa Triyagan dalam pemanfaatan pekarangan untuk bertanam aneka tanaman pangan seperti sayuran, buah dan bumbu dapur atau tanaman obat keluarga. Kegiatan pengabdian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Nopember 2022 – Januari 2023 bertempat di Desa Triyagan, Kecamatan Mojolaban, Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Metode kegiatan adalah dengan cara penyuluhan dan praktek. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini diberikan bantuan berupa rak vertikultur serta aneka alat dan bahan lainnya (pot, polibag, aneka bibit sayuran, media tanam, pupuk organik). Kepada ibu-ibu peserta diberikan materi tentang dasar-dasar bertanam, aneka kreasi cara bertanam yang bisa diterapkan di pekarangan,tahap-tahap budidaya tanaman. Ibu-ibu peserta dibimbing untuk melakukan praktek langsung cara bertanam sayuran mulai dari penyiapan media, penanaman, pemeliharaan. Respon peserta cukup baik dalam mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan dan 90% peserta berhasil melaksanakan praktek bertanam sayuran di pekarangan masing-masing.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam pengetahuan pemasaran online bagi petani hortikultura mencakup kurangnya pemahaman tentang strategi pemasaran digital yang efektif, keterbatasan aksesibilitas teknologi dan koneksi internet di daerah pedesaan, serta ketidakpahaman tentang analisis data dan tren pasar, yang secara keseluruhan menghambat optimisasi pemasaran online dan meningkatkan pendapatan serta peluang bisnis petani hortikultura. Solusi untuk masalah pengetahuan dan keterampilan pemasaran online bagi petani hortikultura adalah melalui program pelatihan dan pendampingan yang komprehensif. Program ini mencakup pemahaman strategi pemasaran digital, penggunaan platform online, konten menarik, analisis data, dan pemahaman perilaku konsumen. Pelatihan membantu petani hortikultura hadapi tantangan pemasaran online. Materi disajikan dengan bahasa sederhana dan mudah diakses. Workshop kolaboratif memperkuat pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani. Evaluasi dan umpan balik terus meningkatkan kualitas pelatihan. Diharapkan petani dapat sukses dalam pemasaran online dan bisnis mereka di era digital.

Abstract

Cauliflower is a vegetable that has commercial value and good prospects, especially for public consumption. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Indonesia cauliflower production has decreased from 2019 to 2021, it is necessary to improve maintenance, one of which is by pruning lateral branches to increase productivity, thereby increasing the rate of photosynthesis to produce high productivity and the right dose of NPK fertilizer to maximize growth in the vegetative and generative phases thereby increasing the yield of cauliflower plants. This study aims to determine the effect of pruning lateral branches and doses of NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of cauliflower. The research was conducted in the hamlet of Jinarum, Girilayu, Matesih, Karanganyar from July to September 2022. The research method used a Completely Randomized Block Design (RAKL) consisting of 2 treatment factors and 3 replications. The first factor is lateral branch pruning P0: without pruning, P1: pruning lateral branches 3 WAP, P2: pruning lateral branches 5 MST. The second factor is the dose of NPK fertilizer with doses of N1: 150 kg/ha, N2: 200 kg/ha, N3: 250 kg/ha. The results showed (1) Pruning lateral branches had a very significant effect on fresh stover, dry stover, crop diameter, crop weight per plant, and crop weight per plot. However, it did not have a significant effect on plant height and number of leaves. (2) NPK fertilizer doses had a very significant effect on fresh stover, dry stover, crop diameter, and crop weight per plant, had a significant effect on crop weight per plot, and had no significant effect on plant height and number of leaves. (3) The interaction between treatments had a very significant effect on fresh stover, dry stover, and crop weight per plant, and had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, crop diameter, and crop weight per plot. (4) The highest yield was obtained in the pruning treatment 3 weeks after planting with a dose of NPK fertilizer of 200 kg/ha, namely the crop weight of 11,997.4 grams per plot (. 26,644 kg/ha). Abstract

The "Sidodadi" farmer group in Demangan village, Sambi sub-district, Boyolali district consists of 15 members, which is a rainfed farmer group. Paddy productivity in rainfed lowland is quite low (2-3 tons/ha) compared to irrigated land (5 tons/ha). The use of a consortium of endophytic bacteria, organic fertilizers and organic pesticides based on local wisdom and the selection of varieties according to their designation can increase rice productivity. Rice farming in this farmer group does not yet have proper management, so assistance is needed. The purpose of this service is to assist in the management of rainfed land so that their income increases.The problems of this farmer group are 1) Aspects of Production and 2) Aspects of management. Production aspects include (a) Technology Utilization Aspect: not having technology to increase rice productivity (b). Aspects of Soil Fertility: rarely use organic fertilizers (c) Aspects of Use of Varieties: rice varieties that are not suitable for allotment of rainfed rice fields. The solution to the problems that arise is to assist farmer group members to use endophytic bacteria consortia, use organic fertilizers and organic pesticides based on local wisdom, use rice varieties that are suitable for sub-optimal rainfed land and farm management training. This activity will be carried out in two places, 1) in the yard of the farmer group members and 2) in the paddy fields in Demangan village, Sambi sub-district, Boyolali Regency from July 2023 to December 2023. The method used is 1) Farm management counseling and assistance, 2) Practice: making a consortium of endophytic bacteria, organic fertilizers and organic pesticides based on local wisdom 3) Cultivating organic rice in rainfed paddy fields, 4). Monitoring and evaluation. The result of this community-based service activity is an increase in the skills of farmers in making endophytic bacteria, making local microorganism (MOL), making solid organic fertilizers, making liquid organic fertilizers and organic pesticides and selecting rice varieties that are suitable for rainfed lowland rice fields and its application in rainfed lowland rice cultivation.

Abstract

Agriculture is an important sector in maintaining food security in a country, including Indonesia. The practice of agricultural activities is very dependent on the environment. Environmentally friendly agricultural practices, also known as organic farming, are currently widely popular, public awareness of the quality of healthy food is the reason why organic farming practices are increasingly in demand. This agricultural practice is related to the recycling of nutrients through plant and livestock waste, as well as other waste which can improve the fertility status and structure of the soil. Community service activities are located in Dlingo Village, Mojosongo District, Boyolali, involving the Mudho Tani livestock group. The method used is providing material regarding the manufacture of organic fertilizer and vegetable pesticides by utilizing materials found in the environment. Organic fertilizer uses cow dung because the majority of the group members are livestock breeders, while vegetable pesticides use spices (ginger, turmeric, mackerel). The practice of making fertilizers and pesticides is carried out to increase the skills of farmers so that they can apply the principles of organic farming. With this service activity, it is hoped that farmers' skills in making organic fertilizers and pesticides can increase and can be applied to agricultural practices. The implementation of an organic farming system is one of the supports for creating a sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

Shallots are one of the horticultural commodities that Indonesian people need. The use of bacterial consortia in shallot cultivation is expected to be useful for increasing soil fertility due to soil biochemical processes. This research aims to determine the effect of applying a microbial consortium from several products to the growth and yield of several shallot varieties. This research was carried out using a Split Plot Design with a split plot method which consists of two factors, namely: 1. Red onion variety, (V1: local rubber variety; V2: white local variety; V3: local Javanese varieties), 2. Types of decomposing plants (microbial consortium), : (P0: Control; P1: M21; P2: EM4; P3: Beka Decomposer). The research results showed: (1) The variety test showed very significant plant height, number of leaves, fresh stover weight, dry stover weight, tuber diameter, fresh tuber weight per bunch, tuber dry weight per bunch, and tuber dry weight per plot. However, there was no real difference between the number of bulbs per plant and the number of bulbs per plot. (2) The combination of microbial consortia with shallot varieties showed significantly different results regarding the number of leaves and bulb diameter. However, there were no real differences in plant height, fresh stover weight, dry stover weight, number of tubers per plant, number of tubers per plot, fresh weight of tubers per bunch, dry weight of tubers per bunch and dry weight of tubers per bunch. (3) The research results showed that the highest yield was obtained from the combination of V2P1 with the treatment of local white varieties of shallots and the application of the M21 microbial consortium with an average value of 150.27 g/plot (16,905 kg/ha or 16.9 tons/ha).

Abstract

Sayuran organik masih sulit dijumpai di pasaran, kalaupun ada harganya mahal. Untuk mendukung keberhasilan usaha bertanam sayuran organik diperlukan pupuk dan pestisida organik. Berdasar hal tersebut maka dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat lanjutan untuk mendukung kegiatan bertanam sayuran organik di pekarangan rumah yang telah berjalan di Desa Triyagan. Kegiatan pengabdian berupa bimbingan pembuatan pupuk dan pestisida organik dengan memanfaatkan bahan-bahan yang banyak tersedia dan mudah didapat di lingkungan Desa Triyagan. Kegiatan pengabdian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei- Juli 2023. Peserta kegiatan adalah ibu-ibu kader PKK dan KWT di Desa Triyagan. Dalam kegiatan ini pembuatan pupuk organik memanfaatkan limbah dapur dan halaman dengan metode komposter ember dan karung. Sedangkan pestisida organik dibuat dari bahan yang mudah didapat di dapur dan lingkungan (bawang putih, kunyit, lengkuas, daun sirsat, daun mimba, sereh, sirih). Kegiatan pengabdian telah terlaksana dan para peserta bisa mengikuti kegiatan dengan baik.
