Abstract

Online applications are something that currently cannot be separated from people's lives, especially urban communities. The opportunity to utilize online applications is also applied in food sales based on the use of online applications, especially for sellers in the category of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Activities that utilize online applications are called Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce) where physical contact is not required between sellers and buyers. Online applications are one of the things that can support economic progress, but the use of online applications for sales is still limited depending on the area, areas with poor internet conditions usually rarely use online applications for sales. The purpose of this study was to determine how much the marketing of fishery products (Pecel lele) using online applications along the Jatinangor highway which is an area with a high percentage of students and high potential for internet use. The conclusion of this study shows that most of the pecel lele stalls along Jalan Raya Jatinangor have used online applications for sales and fifty percent of pecel lele stalls stated that turnover from using online applications tends to be higher than conventional sales. The conclusion of this study is that in 12 catfish pecel stalls located along the Jatinangor highway, 75% of all stalls have online applications for sales and 25% do not have online applications for sales. In the turnover obtained, 6 out of 12 catfish pecel stalls get higher turnover profits, 3 out of 12 catfish pecel stalls have decreasing turnover profits, the remaining 3 stalls that do not use online applications do not experience changes in turnover profits, namely sales do not increase or decrease.

Abstract

Productivity is a concept that describes the relationship between output (production results) and input used (land area, seeds, feed) as one of the efforts that can be made to encourage growth and development in the fisheries and marine sectors. This study aims to analyze the level of productivity and factors that influence the productivity of fisheries cultivation efforts in Floating Net Cage (KJA) in Cirata Reservoir, West Bandung Regency. This study uses a case study method with a sampling technique using the purposive sampling method. The data collection technique is assisted by observation and interview methods with questionnaires, then the data obtained is analyzed using a quantitative descriptive approach. The results of the study showed that the level of productivity per unit area was 14.683 kg/yr/m2 and productivity per unit cost was IDR 19.016/kg. The Financial Analysis carried out produced a profitable R/C ratio value of 1,17. Factors that significantly affect cultivation productivity include land area, seed quality, feed conversion, and length of experience, while the age variable did not show a significant effect on productivity.

Abstract

Fish as a perishable food so that it can be consumed in good conditions requires efforts to maintain its freshness through the application of a cold chain (ice) system and also processing. Fish processing aims to increase the added value of fish raw materials while maintaining the quality and nutrition contained in fish so that consumers can consume the product safely and obtain its benefits. This study aims to determine how much-added value is obtained from the processing of fish batagor in the form of frozen food in which mackerel is the main raw material for fish batagor. The research was conducted at UMKM Selaras Semesta, Bandung City, West Java in March 2023 with the method used, namely the case study method with a descriptive approach. The Hayami method is used to measure and analyze the added value of processed fishery products that are studied quantitatively. The results showed that the added value generated from the batagor mackerel production activities was included in the category of high added value, which was Rp. 488,633/kg of input with a ratio of added value to product value of 78% and the amount of profit earned per kg is Rp.176,777 with a profit level percentage of 36%. The added value of mackerel batagor production is influenced by the price of raw materials, output value, and the value of other input contributions.

Abstract

Choux pastry is a baked product that generally has low fiber content due to its primary ingredient, wheat flour, which contains minimal dietary fiber. Incorporating alternative ingredients rich in fiber can enhance its nutritional value. One such ingredient is Eucheuma cottonii seaweed flour, which is high in dietary fiber and offers potential for innovation in the utilization of fishery-based products. Dietary fiber plays an important role in binding water, improving digestion, and reducing the risk of certain diseases such as cancer. This research aimed to determine the optimal level of Eucheuma cottonii seaweed flour addition to choux pastry based on consumer preference. The study was conducted in December 2024 at the Fishery Product Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, and at the Chemistry Application Laboratory and PPBS Service Building, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Padjadjaran University. An experimental method was used with four treatments: 0% (control), 7.5%, 10%, and 12.5% seaweed flour. Organoleptic tests (appearance, aroma, taste, and texture) were performed by 25 semi-trained panelists, and proximate analysis was conducted. The results showed that the choux pastry with 10% seaweed flour was the most preferred, with organoleptic scores of 7.8 for appearance, 7.6 for aroma, 7.5 for texture, and 7.7 for taste. Proximate analysis indicated that the 10% seaweed flour choux pastry contained 0.3% crude fiber, 2.9% moisture, 2.28% ash, 27.43% fat, 11.27% protein, and 56.09% carbohydrates.

Abstract

The government has issued Government Regulation (PP) Number 11 of 2023 concerning Measured Fishing (PIT), which was created to maintain the sustainability of resources and optimize the sector's economic benefits. The implementation of new policies generally receives varying responses from the public. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of the Palabuhanratu fishing community, Sukabumi Regency, West Java, regarding the planned implementation of the Measured Fishing policy. The study was conducted at the Palabuhanratu Archipelago Fisheries Port (PPN), Sukabumi Regency, West Java, from January to September 2024. Data collection was carried out using a descriptive and quantitative approach with three methods: observation, interviews, and documentation. The sample was determined by purposive sampling. Data analysis used a Likert scale scoring to analyze perceptions, validity, and reliability. The results showed that most fishermen in the Palabuhanratu PPN had a low understanding of the PIT policy. This low level of knowledge of fishermen impacts attitudes and perceptions that tend not to support the implementation of the PIT policy. The majority of fishermen feel that PIT policies, including zoning and catch quotas, have the potential to be detrimental, especially in terms of access to fish resources and income.

Abstract

This studi aims to determine the optimum level of addition of liquid probiotics and banana flour in feed on the growth rate and survival of tilapia seeds. The method used in this research. Was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experimental method, which consisted of six treatments and three replications. The treatments were (Feed A) without the addition of liquid probiotics and banana flour; (Feed B) Addition of 15 ml/kg; (Feed C) Addition of liquid probiotics 15 ml/kg and 5 g/kg of banana flour; (Feed D) Addition of liquidprobiotics 15 ml/kg and 7.5 g/kg of banana flour; (Feed E) Addition of liquid probiotics 15 ml/kg and 10 g/kg of banana flour; and (Feed F) Addition of liquid probiotics 15 ml/kg and 12.5 g/kg of banana flour. The research fish used were 270 tilapia seeds with a size of 6-8 cm and a weight of 4-6 g. The container used is aquarium with a size 35 x 40 x 20 cm3 as many as 18 aquariums with a density of 15 tilapia feeds per treatment. Parameters observed for 40 days were absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, daily growth rate, feed conversion ratio, survival rate, and water quality including temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen. The research results showed that the addition of 15 ml/kg liquid probiotics and 12.5 g/kg banana flour to the feed gave the best results by giving an absolute length growth of 3.14 cm, a weight growth of 9,80 g, a daily growth rate of 24.50%, the food conversion ratio is 1.36, the survival rate is 95.56%, and the water quality produced is in accordance with water quality standards covering temperature ranging from 24,9 to 27.4C, the pH of the water ranges from 6.5 to 7.4, and dissolved oxygen ranges from 5 to 6.7 mg/L.
