Abstract

Latar belakang: Stunting masih menjadi masalah kesehatan utama di Provinsi Aceh karena prevalensinya masih tinggi dan menduduki peringkat 3 secara nasional. Tujuan:  untuk mengetahui determinan stunting pada anak usia 12 – 59 bulan di Provinsi Aceh. Metode:  penelitian menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel 1736 balita yang didapat dari total sampling berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Data yang digunakan merupakan data SSGI 2021 milik BKPK. Variabel independen pada penelitian meliputi faktor anak (jenis kelamin, usia, berat badan lahir, panjang badan lahir, keragaman makanan, kelengkapan imunisasi, suplementasi vitamin A, ISPA, diare, jaminan kesehatan), faktor ibu (pendidikan ibu, kepesertaan KB, kepemilikan buku KIA, suplementasi TTD), faktor keluarga (jumlah anggota keluarga, kepemilikan aset, kerawanan pangan) dan faktor lingkungan (sanitasi layak, sumber air minum layak, kepemilikan jamban). Analisis data meliputi univariat dan bivariat menggunakan chii square serta multivariat menggunakan regresi logistic ganda. Hasil: proporsi stunting pada anak usia 12 – 59 bulan sebesar 35,1%. Hasil bivariate faktor anak: jenis kelami (p= 0,202), usia balita (p=0,580), berat lahir (p=0,001), panjang badan lahir (p=0,001), keragaman makanan (p=0,001), kelengkapan imunisasi (p=0,314), suplementasi vitamin A (p=0,459), ISPA (p=0,276), diare (p=0,040), JKN balita (p=0,064). Faktor keluarga: jumlah keluarga (p=0,092), kepemilikan aset (p=0,001), kerawanan pangan (p=0,001). Faktor lingkungan: sanitasi layak (p=0,001), sumber air minum layak (p=0,185), kepemilikan jamban (p=0,001). Hasil analisis multivariat diperoleh panjang badan lahir merupakan faktor dominan kejadian stunting di Provinsi Aceh dengan OR=2,37.  Kesimpulan:  panjang badan lahir merupakan faktor dominan kejadian stunting di Provinsi Aceh .

Abstract

Aceh is one of the provinces in Indonesia where around 5-10% of teenagers aged 13-15 years are underweight or very thin, and 8.3% are obese. Understanding balanced nutrition is very important for teenagers so there is a need for education regarding this matter. Balanced nutrition education is effective when delivered through the right media. This study aimed to determine the effect and effectiveness of balanced nutrition education using leaflets and poster media on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls. Quantitative research using a Quasy experiment design. The research location was in Senior High School 1, Ingin Jaya Aceh Besar, in 2023. A sample of 66 schoolgirls was divided into two intervention groups: balanced nutrition education using leaflet and poster media. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Direct intervention was carried out for five days with balanced nutrition material, totaling two credits. Data analysis was performed using the Dependent T-test and Independent T-test statistical tests at 95% CI. Results, there is an effect of balanced nutrition education using leaflet media in improving knowledge and attitudes (p<0.05). Likewise, balanced nutrition education using poster media showed a significant effect (p<0.05). However, there was no difference between the use of leaflets and poster media in improving the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls towards balanced nutrition (p>0.05). In conclusion, balanced nutrition education using leaflet and poster media has an effect in improving knowledge and attitudes, but there was no difference in effectiveness in providing education about balanced nutrition.

Abstract

Children under two years is a period with rapid growth and development in (the golden period) and is classified in the group were extremely malnutrition. Complementary feeding and the nutritional status of children cause problems in the aspect of a causal relationship, that the giving its less precise impact on malnutrition status. The study aims to measure the difference in the use omplementary feeding type in families with non-civil and civil servants on the nutritional status of children aged 7 – 24 months in the district Jaya Baru Banda Aceh. The research method with quantitative approach through the cross-sectional design, with a variables consist of the use complementary feeding, nutritional status, and family status. Data was collected through interviews and observations taken at 83 randomly selected samples. Analysis data used with statistical a Chi-Square test on CI:95%. The results showed no difference in proportion of nutritional status (p-value= 0,518) between a families from civil servants with not a family of civil servants (p-value > 0,05). Furthermore, the use omplementary feeding type a proportionally shows the difference with p= 0,005 (p-value < 0,05) in the district of Jaya Baru Banda Aceh. The conclusion that the nutritional status of children between the families of civil servants with not civil servants did not show a difference, but in the use of omplementary feeding by proportion and type of family status have significant differences.

Abstract

Microbiological deterioration of fish is caused by microbial contamination or spoilage microbes. One technique to extend the shelf life and maintain the sensory quality of a food product is vacuum packaging. The principle of vacuum packaging is to remove all air from the package, then close it tightly so that a condition without oxygen is created in the package. The absence of oxygen can inhibit the growth of destructive microorganisms and chemical reactions, thus extending the shelf life of the packaged product. This community service activity aims to increase community knowledge, especially salted fish producers in order to extend the shelf life of salted fish. From the results of the acquisition of the average value of knowledge and attitudes of participants who took the pre-test and post-test, it was seen that there was an increase in participant knowledge by 6%, from 70,33% to 76,33%. There was an increase in the average attitude of participants by 1,34%, from 84,33 to 85,67%. Training on the use of vacuum sealers to maintain moisture content and extend the shelf life of salted fish in salted fish producers in Layeun Village, Leupung District has a positive impact on increasing knowledge and attitudes towards salted fish preservation. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), malnutrition accounts for 45% of deaths in this age group. In Indonesia, one key factor contributing to high rates of malnutrition among children under five is insufficient maternal knowledge. Enhancing maternal understanding of nutrition can be achieved through nutrition education, with Motion Graphics being one effective educational media.Research Objective: To assess the impact of Motion Graphic media education on the four pillars of balanced nutrition regarding the knowledge and attitudes of mothers with toddlers in Cot Gadong Village, Jeumpa District, Bireuen RegencyMethods: This study uses the Research and Development method with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Primary and secondary data are collected, and they are subsequently put through editing, coding, scoring, processing, and cleaning steps. Both quantitative and qualitative data were acquired. Utilizing SPSS software for data analysis, the T-Dependent test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05) was included.Results: The average scores from the tests are as follows: 85.51% from the material expert, 85.96% from the media expert, and 93.33% from the language expert. The average knowledge level before education was 41.57, which increased to 83.33 after education. Similarly, the average attitude score rose from 40.20 before education to 87.23 after education. Statistical analysis shows p values of 0.000 for both knowledge and attitude.Conclusion: The creation of Motion Graphic media on the four pillars of balanced nutrition can enhance both the knowledge and attitudes of mothers with toddlers in Cot Gadong Village, Jeumpa District, Bireuen Regency.

Abstract

Gizi buruk masih menjadi salah satu tantangan kesehatan global yang memengaruhi bayi dan anak-anak. Prevalensi malnutrisi akut dan parah di antara anak-anak di bawah 5 tahun berada di atas target WHO untuk mengurangi dan mempertahankan prevalensi di bawah 5% pada tahun 2025. Meski angka malnutrisi turun dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir, Indonesia masih memiliki angka malnutrisi ibu dan anak yang tertinggi di dunia. Indonesia juga menghadapi tiga beban malnutrisi. Tiga beban malnutrisi diakibatkan oleh rendahnya mutu makanan dan permasalahan lain, seperti kondisi ibu dan kualitas pengasuhan anak serta terbatasnya akses kepada layanan kesehatan, kebersihan, dan sanitasi yang bermutu. Kekurangan Energi Protein (KEP) merupakan keadaan kurang gizi yang disebabkan oleh rendahnya konsumsi energi dan protein dalam makanan sehari-hari atau disebabkan oleh gangguan penyakit tertentu, sehingga tidak memenuhi angka kecukupan gizi. KEP merupakan istilah umum yang meliputi malnutrition, yaitu gizi kurang dan gizi buruk termasuk marasmus dan kwashiorkor. Dampak malnutrisi pada anak diantaranya adalah: imunitas tubuh menurun, meningkatkan infeksi, keterlambatan tumbuh kembang, pertumbuhan fisik anak terganggu, perkembangan otak terganggu, masalah emosional dan perilaku, anemia, penyakit gondok, hipokalsemia dan manifestasi okular bayi.

Abstract

WHO dan UNICEF menyatakan permasalahan dalam pemberian MP-ASI disebabkan baik karena ketidaktahuan dan/atau ketidakmampuan menyiapkan MP ASI yang dapat mencukupi kebutuhan gizi, secara tepat dan higienis. Praktik pemberian Makanan Pendamping ASI (MP ASI) pada bayi dan anak juga belum optimal, antara lain pemberian MP ASI yang terlalu dini dan hanya 46,6% anak usia 6-23 bulan yang mengonsumsi MP ASI dari makanan beragam. Mengetahui Gambaran dukungan keluarga dan pengetahuan ibu serta pemberian MP-ASI pada anak umur 6-24 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Peusangan Kabupaten Bireuen. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survey analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh ibu yang memiliki anak usia 6-24 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Peusangan Kabupaten Bireuen. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu 30 orang ibu yang memiliki anak usia 6-24 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Peusangan Kabupaten Bireuen. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli – Agusutus 2022 pada 16 Desa. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah quota sampling. Data di analisis menggunakan uji chi-square dengan nilai alpha 0.05. Pengetahuan ibu tentang pemberian MP-ASI kategori baik sejumlah 33,3 %, kategori kurang sebesar 66,7 %. Dukungan keluarga dalam pemberian MP-ASI, kategori ada dukungan 33,3 %, kategori tidak ada dukungan sebesar 66,7 %. Pemberian MP-ASI dengan kategori sesuai dan tidak sesuai masing-masing sebesar 50,0 %. Nilai signifikansi hubungan pengetahuan ibu dengan pemberian MP-ASI (p) = 0,007. Nilai signifikansi hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan pemberian MP-ASI (p) = 0,053. Ada hubungan secara signifikan tingkat pengetahuan dengan pemberian MP-ASI (P<0,05). Tidak ada hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan pemberian MP-ASI pada anak umur 6-24 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Peusangan Kabupaten Bireuen (P >0,05). Kepada petugas kesehatan diharapkan dapat memotivasi keluarga untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan serta perhatian kepada ibu terhadap pemberian MP-ASI.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has led to changes in uncontrolled consumption patterns and decreased physical activity among female teaching staff members. Therefore, they tend to gain weight, leading to non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and comorbidities. In support of the government’s efforts, the prevalence of obesity must be reduced through healthy behavioral changes. This study aimed to identify the cause of obesity among female lecturers in Aceh during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used a case-control design and was conducted in Aceh Province from March to June 2021. The sample consisted of 65 female lecturers (obese) and 65 controls (non-obese), obtained by purposive sampling. Physical activity, NCDs history, anthropometric, BMI, and blood pressure data were collected and analyzed using the chi-square test at a 95% confidence interval (CI). Results found that Female lecturers in Aceh had a higher prevalence of obesity (55.4%). This was because of age > 45 years (p= 0.013; AOR= 2.42), junk food consumption (p= 0.017; AOR= 2.33), not on a diet (p= 0.034; AOR= 2.13), and less physical activity (p= 0.012; AOR= 2.79). During the Covid-19 pandemic, neither income nor pickle consumption were risk factors for obesity (p > 0.05). However, arthritis (p= 0.034; AOR= 2.12) and hypertension (p= 0.003; AOR= 2.93) were present in a high proportion of obese female lecturers (p < 0.05). Additionally, the risk of obesity during the Covid-19 pandemic in Aceh was unrelated (p > 0.05) to diabetes, high cholesterol, and heart disease. In conclusion, obesity among female lecturers in Aceh was caused by risk factors such as age, junk food consumption, and lack of physical activity during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is also associated with NCDs including arthritis and hypertension. It is hoped that avoiding obesity will prevent the emergence of non-communicable diseases.

Abstract

The target community of posyandu is in accordance with the target of specific nutrition interventions for handling stunting. Posyandu is a place for pregnant, lactating mothers, infants and toddlers to get services that include maternal and child health in the form of growth and development monitoring, provision of vitamin A capsules, immunization, prevention and control of diarrhea, nutritional counseling according to their problems and family planning. Posyandu cadres are the main drivers of all activities carried out in the posyandu. One of the most basic posyandu problems is the low level of knowledge of cadres both from an academic and technical perspective, therefore to be able to provide optimal services at Posyandu, it is necessary to adjust the knowledge and skills of cadres, so that they are able to carry out Posyandu activities according to the norms, standards, procedures and criteria for developing Posyandu.In preventing stunting, the thing that must be considered is the balanced nutrition of pregnant women and nursing mothers. The purpose of this community service in general is to empower cadres to increase knowledge and skills in compiling and processing menus for pregnant women and nursing mothers as an effort to prevent stunting. The benefits of this activity are to increase the knowledge and skills of cadres in processing a balanced menu for pregnant women and nursing mothers so that cadres can provide this nutrition education widely, sustainably, and independently.Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in cadres' knowledge and skills, as evidenced by the comparison of pre-test and post-test results. A total of 85% of cadres showed a better understanding of nutrition and were able to develop a balanced menu.
