Abstract

Slope stability and land movements, commonly referred to as landslides, are natural hazards that involve the shifting of materials like soil, rock, and debris, primarily caused by the force of gravity. This research utilized both qualitative and quantitative approaches, focusing on spatial analysis by examining primary and secondary data derived from satellite imagery, observations, and pertinent institutions. Processing of the collected data using specialized software like Global Mapper 20, ArcGIS 10.8.1, and ER Mapper 8.1. The findings of this investigation disclosed that a significant portion of Ambon City, roughly 51.63% of its area, exhibited high susceptibility to landslides. Conversely, only about 16.26% of the total area demonstrated very low or low vulnerability. Similar trends were observed in urbanized regions, where the majority, around 39.01%, were classified as highly vulnerable (Z-4). In contrast, approximately 35.09% showed very low vulnerability (Z-1), and 11.89% depicted low vulnerability (Z-2). The study's findings clearly highlight a critical situation in Ambon City, where a substantial 89% of its territory, characterized by mountainous landscapes, is experiencing a markedly increased frequency of landslides. Given these concerning insights, it is absolutely essential for government authorities to engage in rigorous spatial planning. This should involve redirecting development efforts towards areas identified as safer, away from high-risk zones. Furthermore, the government must enforce and adhere to policies that not only mitigate landslide risks but also promote sustainable development, ensuring the long-term safety and resilience of Ambon City against such natural disasters. Keywords: Mapping, Landslide, Vulnerability, Build Area

Abstract

Pathogens that cause plant diseases do not only attack when it was in the field until harvesting, these attacks continue until the agricultural product was stored and consumed. The agricultural products could be stored for a long period after harvesting. During storage, there were several constraints were found in the form of decreased quality due to postharvest disease which it was caused by several pathogens such as fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Fungi were a group of pathogens that were often found as a cause of postharvest disease in agricultural commodities. The method used in this study was a blotter, then it would be continued by isolation and purification and also identification of the pathogen under a microscope. The results of the identification of fungi that cause postharvest diseases in corn and peanut seeds were found in four pathogenic fungi, namely Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, Penicillium sp, and Fusarium sp.

Abstract

Many microbial populations are found in the rhizosphere, including in the soil layer that follows the plant root system. Rhizosphere soils contain more bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes than non-rhizosphere soils. One of the antibiotic producing bacteria has been isolated from the rhizosphere. The purpose of this study was to isolate and characterize the biochemistry of antibiotic producing bacteria and to evaluate their superiority in inhibiting other types of bacteria. Three microbial isolates were isolated from the rhizosphere of winged bean (K) and banana (P1 and P2) plants. All isolated isolates were tested for antagonism with E. coli, Bacillus, and Pseudomonas bacteria on Nutrient Agar (NA) media to determine antibiotic-producing bacteria. Furthermore, identification and characterization of colony morphology and a series of antagonism and pathogenicity tests were carried out. The three isolates had irregular colony forms (isolates K and P1) as well as oval shapes (isolate P2), flat surface, glossy texture, milky white or cream color, and irregular edges. The antagonism test showed that isolates P1, P2, and K could inhibit the growth of bacterial colonies E. coli, Bacillus, and Pseudomonas, respectively. In the pathogenicity test, the three microbial isolates did not show symptoms of necrosis in tobacco leaves after 2 days of observation.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial competency on business success, examining the roles of business innovation, managerial ability, and entrepreneurial orientation as intermediary variables. The background of this study departs from findings indicating that entrepreneurial competency does not always have a direct impact on business performance, and that a more comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms mediating these two variables is needed. This study examines scientific articles published between 2014-2024 that address the themes of competency, innovation, management, entrepreneurial orientation, and business performance. The methods used include identification, selection, and critical analysis of articles using the PRISMA protocol, with data analysis conducted thematically to identify patterns of relationships between variables. The main findings indicate that entrepreneurial competency positively affects business success when mediated by innovation, managerial ability, and entrepreneurial orientation. Innovation creates added value, managerial ability improves operational effectiveness, and entrepreneurial orientation directs competency toward proactive, innovative strategic actions. This study provides theoretical contributions by mapping a more complete structure of the relationship between competency and business performance, as well as practical contributions for business actors, educational institutions, and policymakers in designing entrepreneurial capacity-building programs.

Abstract

Modern agriculture faces increasing challenges from soil-borne fungal pathogens such as Fusarium oxysporum, Rhizoctonia solani, and Sclerotium rolfsii, which cause severe root and wilt diseases and significantly reduce crop productivity. This study employed a qualitative–descriptive approach supported by controlled laboratory experiments to evaluate the potential of agricultural waste as an alternative, low-cost substrate for producing antifungal rhizobacterial biopesticides. Six types of agricultural waste—rice straw, rice husk, corn cob, sugarcane bagasse, coffee husk, and soybean residue—were assessed based on their C/N ratio, lignin content, biodegradability, and nutrient availability. The results indicated that substrates with moderate C/N ratios (15–25) and low lignin content, particularly soybean residue and sugarcane bagasse, promoted optimal rhizobacterial colonization, robust biofilm formation, and high production of antifungal metabolites such as chitinase and siderophores. Rhizobacteria cultured on soybean residue exhibited the strongest inhibition zone against Fusarium oxysporum (20.5 mm) and the highest plant protection efficacy (88%), with biopesticide stability maintained for up to 120 days. Two conceptual models, Substrate Structure Colonization (SSC) and Media Metabolite Effectiveness (MME), are proposed to explain the relationship between substrate structure, metabolite biosynthesis, and biopesticide performance. These findings provide a sustainable strategy for converting agricultural waste into high-value bio-based inputs, supporting circular economy practices and green agriculture initiatives.

Abstract

The Mojorejo Women Farmers Group (KWT Mojorejo Lestari) consists of 20 housewives from Mojorejo Village, Selupu Rejang District, Rejang Lebong Regency. Most members have a secondary education background and engage mainly in household activities and small-scale farming. Limited knowledge and skills in managing local resources have hindered the group from developing productive businesses. This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to empower the Mojorejo Women Farmers Group through vocational training using a learning by doing approach by utilizing butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea) as the basis for developing innovative functional herbal tea bag products. The program included socialization, technical training, processing demonstrations, and qualitative evaluation through observation, interviews, and focus group discussions. The results showed that the group members were able to process butterfly pea into herbal tea bags with four flavor variants (butterfly pea + lemon, ginger, lemongrass, and cinnamon). Drying using a dehydrator was proven to be more effective than traditional sun drying, producing better color, aroma, and bioactive content. The tea bag products have been introduced to families and the local community, receiving positive responses and showing potential as a local flagship product. This activity not only improved the participants’ technical skills but also enhanced their entrepreneurial motivation and strengthened the organizational capacity of KWT Mojorejo to sustainably manage local resource-based businesses.
