Abstract

This article deals with mapping of teacher’s competence for Islamic religious subject in facing ASEAN Economic Community. Since the free market has launched in 2015, ASEAN countries will transform to be a region in which goods, services, skilled workers and capital can move freely. It means that all skilled workers, including teachers of Islamic subjects, have the same access to get a good job suitable with their competence in ASEAN countries. To prepare such skilled workers, it is very important to understand and to map the competences standard of Islamic religious teacher set up by Islamic education institutions (schools) in ASEAN countries.We conclude that there are at least two basic competences and five additional competences required. Two basic competences are mastery of Islamic teachings (theology and law) and good command in Arabic, both written and spoken (muhadathah). While five additional competences are mastering local languages (Malay and Thai); English; writing and reading Malay-Arabic script (Arab-Jawi);performing Islamic rituals with a special reference to Shafi‘i’s school of thought; and computer literacy. To compete and to fulfill the demand of the above competences, it is needed to make sure that the implementation of the curriculum of Islamic Education Department in the Faculty of Islamic Education in Indonesian Islamic higher education has been going well, and to adopt as well as to change it as long as in line with the competences needed.

Abstract

The differences between of religion and belief in a particular community is usually will show a conflict between followers of religions. It has become a fact of history that can not be ignored. whereas, if it is returned on the purpose of religion itself, of course, conflict, hostility, war is something contradictory. All of  true religion have aimed to creat the objectives of the human being. Such as, through the realization of harmony in social life. Religion suggests the importance of building a good attitude in the society besides spiritual rites. It was a union of  two aspects  relations between vertical and horizontal. Rural Prototype communities in the region which have three religions and places of worship side by side in Balun Village Turi subdistric Lamongan district. Balun one of the village have multicultur and plural in the society over the years never happened conflicts religious. Because of it, the researcher suppose to searh how is the social construction of the religious, in the harmony and how  is the process of establishing the values of harmony, religious rites and cultural activities that involve people of the different religions.            Phenomenological etnography  approach in this research through the data sources that are grouping refers to the  stratification. Social startifikasi in used in this research according to Pitrim A.Sorokin and Max Weber theories were the  strata of society devided into some group based on the standard such as; respectable, power and authority,  knowledge and income . then From this theory the  researcher devided the society  into four group. The first are the figures of Islamic religious, Christian, Hindu. Second the committee of mosgue, Church and Temple Board, third  local goverment staff, educators, teachers in all religius. The fourth  regular community; farmers , factory workers. Based on analyzed of phenomenological ethnography, the researchers found the result of the study, these are the social construction of the religious community,  harmony and the establishment of the values in the  harmony guided by the respectable each others in ideology, respectable to the hereditary tradition, expressing happiness had shown when other communities in religious rituals celebration, gave awards to other religious communities as well as a sense of togetherness reflected in any religious activities and social activities in Balun village. The Harmony  foundation  in the application as "sacrifices" of religion for the sake of harmony by the local wisdom communities.

Abstract

Muhammad Iqbal is an important figure in the treasury of Islamic culture. He was a philosopher, thinker, scholar, jurist, reformer, politician and above all a poet. Muhammad Iqbal wanted to restore the glory of Islam by connecting Islamic education with philosophy and science as well as modern technological developments. Because for Muhammad Iqbal. Islam is not just a creed, but a way of life that grows and develops, both for individual and social life. Therefore, this article aims to discuss the integrative Islamic education perspective of Muhammad Iqbal's. The research method in this article uses library research. While the research results of this article are the ideal education perspective of Muhammad Iqbal was born from criticism of the Western knowledge hagemony but poor in value, and the stagnation of Eastern (Islamic) knowledge. Education should be a place for individuals to become holistic individuals to achieve Insan Kamil. Muhammad Iqbal's typology of Islamic education includes educational goals, educators, students, curriculum, and learning methods. While the conclusion of this research is that integrative Islamic education according to Muhammad Iqbal, consists of: internal and external, physical and mental, logical and intuition, individual and society, traditional and modern, past, present, and future of life, as well as the balance of the world and the hereafter. Abstract

Student center learning (SCL) is a paradigm emphasized in the learning approach in the Merdeka Curriculum. Furthermore, the Merdeka Curriculum highlights that differentiated learning must be carried out by teachers in conducting learning. In fact, inclusive madrasahs receive various types of obstacles for students with special needs have implemented differentiated learning with curriculum modifications for students with special needs. The purpose of this study is to analyze the SCL paradigm from the perspective of teachers in inclusive madrasah. The place of this research is MTs. Terpadu Ar-Roihan Lawang Malang which is an inclusive madrasah since 2014. Data were obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Teachers in this madrasah have understood the SCL learning approach and the meaning of learning differentiation even though some teachers still use teacher center learning (TCL) as a learning approach that is more center on the teacher's authority. Interestingly, there is an interchange between TCL and SCL when teachers must deal with students in this inclusive madrasa

Abstract

To achieve the memorization target of 3 chapters of the Qur’an as a minimum requirement for graduation, MAN Insan Cendekia Pekalongan conducted a tahfidz quarantine program during Ramadan. This program focused on Al-Qur'an literacy activities as an effort to create student learning motivation in memorizing the Qur'an through the acceleration class model. This study aimed to determine the acceleration class model applied in the tahfidz quarantine and explore learning motivation and Al-Qur'an literacy. The research used a naturalistic qualitative descriptive method with a field case study approach which was conducted at MAN Insan Cendekia Pekalongan during the tahfidz quarantine. Data were obtained from interviews with the deputy head of the dormitory division, companion teachers, supervisor teachers, and students, as well as observation and documentation. From the total of 189 students, 14 student representatives from classes X and XI in each room were interviewed. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's three steps including reduction, data display, and verification. The results showed that the memorization achievement of a minimum of 3 chapters was exceeded in the first and second weeks and there was an acceleration of memorization in the third and fourth weeks after the implementation of the acceleration class with the highest memorization achievement of 13 chapters for the male class and 19 chapters for the female class. The acceleration of memorization shows a significant increase due to the learning motivation and Al-Qur'an literacy which synergizes with the acceleration of tahfidzul Qur'an after the implementation of the acceleration classes.

Abstract

Harun Nasution is an Indonesian Muslim intellectual who fights for modern Islamic education and is open to science and technology. For him, renewal is a necessity for Islamic education, because Islamic education must have relevance to the dynamics of social life. This study aims to reveal the concept of renewal of Islamic education carried out by Harun Nasution. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with the type of library research, where the data used includes bibliographical data, articles, books, and other documents. The results of this study indicate that the legacy of Harun Nasution's thoughts in Islamic education is educational reform including; first, the goal of integrated Islamic education; second, educational curriculum; third, Islamic education methods; and fourth, Islamic education teachers. The implication of the above thoughts is the formation of individuals who have the ability to think critically, understand and fight for humanitarian principles, and can contribute positively to society.Keywords: Harun Nasution, Legacy, Education, Modern

Abstract

Lembaga Pendidikan Islam / Madrasah merupakan komunitas yang rentan terdampak bencana. Hal ini karena lokasi madrasah berada pada wilayah yang rawan longsor, gempa bumi, tsunami dan banjir. 2 % MA, 4 % MTs, 3 % MI, 1 % RA telah terdampak bencana sejak 2010-2021. Resiko yang tinggi dari dampak bencana tidak serta merta meningkatkan upaya pengurangan risiko pada lembaga pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun konsep pengurangan risiko bencana berbasis transdisipliner. Dengan harapan dapat melengkapi pengalaman madrasah dalam menyelenggarakan pengurangan risiko bencana di masing-masing satuan pendidikan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah, adanya konsepsi pengurangan risiko bencana berbasis transdisipliner pada fase prabencana dan pasca bencana. / Madrasah merupakan komunitas yang rentan terdampak bencana. Abstract

Hasan Langgulung's thoughts in the development of students are quite taken into account, especially in Islamic education. Hasan Langgulung does not only emphasize cognitive aspects, but he also focuses on affective aspects. Thus, this is what distinguishes his concept of thought from other figures. The characteristic (idiosyncratic) of Hasan Langgulung's thoughts on education is the integration of psychology, philosophy and education. This characteristic is the purpose of writing an article entitled Idiosyncrasy of Hasan Langgulung's Concept of Thought on Student Development: An Overview of the Psychology of Islamic Education. The type of research used is library research, with an Islamic educational psychology approach. Sources of data in this study are books, articles, and other library sources, which are in accordance with the problems studied. The results found from this study are that Hasan Langgulung formulates his concept of thought in shaping the character of students, which is reflected in the three functions of Islamic education: spiritual, psychological, and social functions. On the other hand, Hasan langgulung also in transforming his thoughts did not forget to integrate with the philosophy of life. Key word: idionsyncrasi, Hasan Langgulung, character, Islamic psychology

Abstract

This study proves with scientific data the assumptions, perceptions, and myths that have developed in society which state that the religious and social behavior of parents, especially mothers who are pregnant or during the prenatal period has a significant impact on the baby to be born, both from the physical or psychological/spiritual side. This research aims to describe the religious and social behavior of parents during prenatal education. The objects and primary data of this research were the parents of students who won the best graduate title at UIN Sunan Ampel in 2019-2021 who come from different regions and socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method, which aims to investigate the condition and behaviours of parents during the parental period. The result of this research indentified two categories of prenatal education patterns practiced by parents: 1) internalization pattern, characterized bty the belief in and engagement with religious rituals and social activities that significantly impact the unborn children; 2) integration pattern, involving the blending of sosial and religious activities by expectant parent, with the aim of ensuring that the future child aligns with their expectation. The implications of this research can serve a theoretical foundation to be emulated and applied by parents during the prenatal period.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the history of education in Islam to serve as the basis for its epistemic framework.  This study uses a literature study method with a qualitative approach.  The sources used are books, articles that are relevant to the history of Islamic religious education, besides that, literature on epistemic rationality and religious moderation is also collected.  How to obtain data in this study by reviewing the literature.  The data analysis uses the concept given by Miles and Huberman.  The results of this study are: 1) Historically the decline of Islamic education was due to the geopolitics of the destruction of the city of Baghdad so that the emergence of the western anti-colonial movement which resulted in radicalization to maintain power over religion.  2) Islamic education undergoes a transformation from the rationality of science through religious beliefs to the narrowing of knowledge and education in Islam for religious and political purposes.  3) Epistemic rationality is needed to revive Islamic education such as the golden age that uses rationality and empiricism in acquiring knowledge.  4) With an epistemic rationality approach based on the history of Islamic education, it can be used as an effort to form a moderate attitude in religion. AbstrakModerasi beragama kembali menjadi isu yang penting untuk dibahas, seiring dengan maraknya tindakan anarkis, radikalisme dan fanatisme mengatasnamakan agama yang dilakukan oleh oknum tertentu di waktu akhir ini. Oleh karena itu, perlu menilik sejarah pendidikan Islam pada masa keemasan untuk dijadikan pijakan kerangka epistemiknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber yang digunakan adalah buku, artikel yang relevan dengan sejarah pendidikan agama islam selain itu dikumpulkan juga literatur-literatur rasionalitas epistemik dan moderasi beragama. Cara memperoleh data pada penelitian ini dengan telaah literature. Adapun analisis data menggunakan konsep yang diberikan oleh Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini berupa : 1) Tercatat historis kemunduran pendidikan islam disebabkan geopolitik hancurnya kota baghdad sehingga munculnya gerakan anti kolonial barat yang dampaknya radikalisasi untuk mempertahankan kekuasaan dengan atas agama. 2) Pendidikan islam mengalami transformasi dari rasionalitas ilmu pengetahuan melalui keyakinan agama berubah menjadi mempersempitnya ilmu pengetahuan dan pendidikan dalam Islam untuk tujuan agama dan politiknya. 3) Rasionalitas epistemik diperlukan untuk membangkitkan kembali pendidikan islam seperti masa keemasan yang menggunakan rasionalitas dan empirik dalam memperoleh pengetahuan. 4) Dengan pendekatan rasionalitas epistemik berdasar sejarah pendidikan islam bisa digunakan sebagai upaya pembentukan sikap moderat dalam beragama.Â
