Abstract

Background: Pharmaceutical services are a vital component of the healthcare system, with pharmacies serving not only as sources of medication but also as centers for drug-related consultation. Kediri City, one of the major cities in East Java, has a population of approximately 295,230 people and an area of 63.4 km², with 156 pharmacies distributed across its regions. However, the uneven distribution of pharmacies may affect public access to pharmaceutical services. This study aimed to analyze the impact of pharmacy distribution on community access to pharmaceutical services in Kediri City.Methods: A quantitative approach was employed using data from the local Health Office, field observations, and a survey of 102 respondents across three districts.Result: The results reveal that areas with a higher number of strategically located pharmacies enjoy better access to pharmaceutical services, whereas regions with fewer pharmacies experience access barriers, such as longer travel time, limited service availability, and lower patient satisfaction.Conclusion: These findings highlight the importance of regulation and oversight in pharmacy distribution to ensure equitable access to services across all areas. Limitations of the study include a limited number of respondents, simple random sampling without stratification, and constrained observational scope. The study recommends policy development for pharmacy distribution based on regional needs to improve access and quality of pharmaceutical services in Kediri City.

Abstract

Pharmacists are described as professionals in clinical competence and service orientation towards care. Pharmacists are required to have professionalism to build compliance, satisfaction, and the image of the pharmacist himself. However, professionalism alone is still not enough to build a pharmacist's image without having good emotional intelligence, because a pharmacist with good emotional intelligence can control himself, understand patients' feelings, and build good relationships with patients. To improve service quality and customer satisfaction and build a good image of the pharmacist profession, a strategy is needed not only in professionalism but also in the need to build courtesy or courtesy values, namely emotional intelligence. This study aims to determine pharmacists' emotional intelligence in pharmacies in Banjarmasin city. The research method used was cross-sectional using a questionnaire instrument. In this study, the results of low pharmacist emotional intelligence were 4 people (13.3%,) pharmacists with moderate emotional intelligence were 23 people (76.7%) and pharmacists who had high emotional intelligence were 3 people (10%). The results showed that pharmacists' emotional intelligence was still in the low and medium categories so it still needed to be improved. Keywords:          pharmacist, emotional intelligence, pharmaceutical services   Abstrak Apoteker digambarkan sebagai profesional dalam kompetensi klinis dan orientasi layanan terhadap kepedulian. Apoteker dituntut memiliki profesionalitas untuk membangun kepatuhan, kepuasan, dan citra apoteker itu sendiri. Akan tetapi profesionalitas saja masih belum cukup untuk membangun citra apoteker tanpa memiliki kecerdasan emosional yang baik, karena seorang apoteker dengan kecerdasan emosional yang baik dapat mengendalikan dirinya sendiri, memahami perasaan pasien dan membangun hubungan yang baik kepada pasien. Sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas layanan dan kepuasan konsumen serta membangun citra yang baik terhadap profesi apoteker diperlukan strategi bukan hanya dalam profesionalitas saja tetapi juga perlunya membangun courtesy atau nilai kesopanan yaitu kecerdasan emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecerdasan emosional apoteker yang bekerja di apotek di kota Banjarmasin. Metode penelitian yang digunakan cross-sectional menggunakan instrument berupa kuesioner. Dalam penelitian ini didapatkan hasil kecerdasan emosional apoteker rendah sebanyak 4 orang (13,3%,) apoteker dengan kecerdasan emosional sedang sebanyak 23 orang (76,7%) dan apoteker yang memiliki kecerdasan emosional tinggi sebanyak 3 orang (10%). Jadi hasil penelitian menunjukkan kecerdasan emosional apoteker masih ada dalam kategori rendah dan sedang sehingga masih perlu ditingkatkan. Abstract

ABSTRAK Tanaman kelapa (Cocos nucifera) memiliki banyak manfaat sebagai alternatif pengobatan di masyarakat, salah satunya di Kelurahan Cempaka, Kota Banjarbaru. Ibu-ibu daerah Kelurahan Cempaka di RT 30 mayoritas Bertani serai dan kunyit walaupun daerahnya meliliki perkebunan terbanyak kedua di Kelurahan Cempaka, Banjarbaru. Permasalahan yang ada di daerah mitra adalah belum dimanfaatkannya secara optimal hasil panen kelapa yang dikarenakan kurangnya pengetahuan dalam mengolah potensi tanaman ini. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan untuk menstimulasi pemanfaatan kelapa menjadi produk VCO dengan kombinasi kunyit atau sereh yang ditanam sendiri. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan metode pembinaan langsung pada masyarakat melalui penyuluhan dan praktik pembuatan produk. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada 27 November 2023 pada pukul 10.00-12.30 WITA di Rumah Ketua KWT yang dihadiri 20 peserta yang merupakan ibu kelompok wanita tani, ibu ketua KWT dan mahasiswa. Kegiatan ini berjalan dengan lancar dengan antusiasme peserta yang cukup tinggi dan aktif terutama pada sesi pelatihan pemasaran secara digital. Pengetahuan dari peserta pun menunjukkan hasil yang meningkat karena materi dapat diterima dengan baik. Kata Kunci: Kelapa, VCO, Kelurahan Cempaka, Pemasaran Digital  ABSTRACT The coconut plant (Cocos nucifera) has many benefits as an alternative treatment in the community, one of which is in Cempaka Village, Banjarbaru City. The majority of women from the Cempaka Village area in RT 30 farm lemongrass and turmeric even though the area has the second largest number of plantations in Cempaka Village, Banjarbaru. The problem in partner areas is that the coconut harvest has not been utilized optimally due to a lack of knowledge in processing the potential of this plant. This activity was carried out to stimulate the use of coconut into VCO products with a combination of self-grown turmeric or lemongrass. This community service is carried out using direct guidance to the community through counseling and product manufacturing practices. This community service was carried out on November 27 2023 at 10.00-12.30 WITA at the KWT Chair's House which was attended by 20 participants who were women from the women's farmer group, the KWT chair and students. This activity ran smoothly with participants' enthusiasm being quite high and active, especially in the digital marketing training session. Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that has experienced a reduction in the incidence of stunting, from 30.8% in 2018 to 21% in 2022 and is targeted at 14% in 2024. Stunting is caused by a lack of nutritional intake in the first 1000 days of life. Based on a preliminary study in Sungai Besar Subdistrict, there is still a fairly high prevalence of babies below the red line which leads to stunting, which occurs at the age of 0 months to 4 years, as many as 17 toddlers. This community service aims to provide information and education regarding stunting and local food that can be used to prevent stunting with the hope of reducing stunting rates in the Sungai Besar subdistrict. Community service activities were carried out on April 30 2024 in the Sungai Besar Village Hall and via Zoom Meeting. Partners in this activity are PKK Sungai Besar cadres, Banjarbaru City. Information and education is provided using powerpoint and leaflet. The average pretest score of the participants was 6.375 while the posttest was 8. Based on the paired t-test, the significance value was 0.002 (<0.05), which shows that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores regarding understanding stunting and local food that can be used as prevention of stunting. Based on the average pretest and posttest scores, the percentage increase in understanding was 20%. Through this community service, it is hoped that participants can make efforts to prevent and utilize local food so that the reduction in stunting rates can be increased. Based on the results of the service activities carried out, it was concluded that the information and education carried out were able to increase participants' knowledge and understanding regarding stunting and its prevention using local food.

Abstract

Background: This community service program addresses the critical agricultural challenges of post-harvest loss in Asmorobangun Village, Kediri, specifically rapid product spoilage, inadequate storage, and unstable market prices. The focus is on introducing accessible technological solutions to farmers for hygienic post-harvest handling. Purpose of the Study: The purpose of this program is to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of ozone technology combined with cold storage in reducing post-harvest losses. The objectives are to extend the shelf life of horticultural products, improve their market quality, and empower farmers through participatory training and application. Methods: The implementation used a participatory approach, actively involving farmers in all stages: problem identification, socialization, design and assembly of a corona discharge–type ozone generator and cold storage units, equipment testing, technical training, and field assistance. Results: The combined use of ozone and cold storage significantly extended product shelf life—by 2–3 days at room temperature and up to 3–4 weeks with cold storage. The technology effectively maintained freshness, color, and texture while being user-friendly and eco-friendly. Farmers responded positively due to its economic benefits and improved product marketability. The program successfully established a replicable model for sustainable post-harvest management in similar farming communities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X pada mata pelajaran Pekerjaan Dasar Otomotif. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran serta kebutuhan akan model pembelajaran yang mendorong aktivitas berpikir kritis dan eksploratif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain Pre-Experimental One Group Pre-test–Post-test Design. Subjek penelitian adalah 36 siswa kelas X yang dipilih melalui teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan ganda yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test dan paired sample t-test melalui SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara nilai Pre-Test dan Post-Test, dibuktikan dengan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0.000 dan nilai paired sample t-test sebesar 0.000 < 0.05. Rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 72.35 menjadi 87.65 setelah diterapkannya Discovery Learning. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terbukti berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kualitas pelayanan BUMD PDAM Delta Tirta di Kabupaten Sidoarjo dalam memenuhi kebutuhan air minum bersih dengan menggunakan pendekatan nilai publik (public value). Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh fenomena rendahnya tingkat kepuasan masyarakat terhadap layanan PDAM Delta Tirta yang dipicu oleh buruknya kualitas pendistribusian air, meskipun instansi tersebut dituntut untuk senantiasa memberikan pelayanan prima di tengah tingginya pertumbuhan penduduk. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui wawancara mendalam secara semi-terstruktur, observasi non-partisipan, dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif meliputi tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan tiga dimensi nilai publik yang digagas oleh Mark H. Moore, yakni penciptaan nilai publik, legitimasi politik dan dukungan sosial, serta kapasitas operasional, menunjukkan sebuah temuan yang paradoksal. Secara administratif dan manajerial, PDAM Delta Tirta telah mendemonstrasikan kinerja pelayanan yang tergolong sangat baik. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui tingginya kompetensi teknis sumber daya manusia di lapangan, ketersediaan sarana yang memadai, kepatuhan terhadap prosedur, serta kemudahan akses administratif melalui inovasi layanan digital. Akan tetapi, keunggulan birokrasi tersebut berbenturan dengan kualitas produk inti yang masih berstatus buruk. Kualitas air yang didistribusikan kepada para pelanggan sering kali berada dalam kondisi keruh dan kotor. Kesimpulannya, keramahan petugas dan kelancaran administratif belum sejalan dengan pemenuhan standar kelayakan air bersih, sehingga pembaruan infrastruktur pengolahan air menjadi urgensi krusial untuk memulihkan kepercayaan publik.
