Abstract

Poetry is a form of reflective expression that plays an important role in conveying cultural values, healing the soul, and forming the collective identity of society. However, the perception of the general public currently still sees poetry as a complicated and exclusive art due to a rigid teaching approach and focus on structural aspects. This community service aims to open access and bring poetry closer to the general public. The poetry workshop was held offline in Pontianak involving participants from various age and professional backgrounds, in collaboration with the Pontianak Poetry Community. The method used is a community-based descriptive qualitative approach, emphasizing the active involvement of participants in the process of reading, writing, and reflecting on poetry, with a focus on personal experiences and emotional expression. The results show that poetry can be accessed and used as a medium for inclusive and reflective expression, is able to dismantle elitist stigma, and strengthens social connections between participants through a process of joint expression and appreciation. These findings strengthen the role of poetry as a means of aesthetic literacy that has the potential to increase expressive awareness and social cohesion in society.

Abstract

The implementation of e-government has become a central strategy for improving public administration performance and enhancing citizen satisfaction in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the effect of e-government implementation on citizen satisfaction in public administration. A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey method, with data collected from 300 respondents who have experience using e-government services. The measurement instrument was structured using a five-point Likert scale, capturing key dimensions of e-government implementation, including system quality, information quality, service quality, and accessibility, as well as citizen satisfaction with public services. The collected data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25, applying descriptive statistics, reliability and validity tests, and simple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that e-government implementation has a positive and statistically significant effect on citizen satisfaction. The regression analysis shows that e-government implementation explains a substantial proportion of variance in citizen satisfaction, demonstrating that effective digital public services contribute to improved efficiency, convenience, and overall service experience. These findings suggest that strengthening the quality and inclusiveness of e-government initiatives is essential for enhancing public service delivery and citizen trust in public administration in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study extends the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) to explain why citizens frequently abandon digital public services despite substantial government investment in e‑government platforms. It focuses on Riau Province, Indonesia, and positions User Satisfaction as a central mediator linking four UTAUT antecedents—Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions—to actual usage behavior. Adopting a deductive quantitative design, the research uses a stratified random survey of 240 e‑government users and analyzes the data with PLS‑SEM, supported by rigorous tests of reliability, validity, common‑method bias, and predictive relevance. The model explains 80.1% of the variance in User Satisfaction and 80.2% in User Behavior, indicating strong explanatory and predictive power. Results show that Performance Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions significantly increase satisfaction, while Performance Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, and User Satisfaction itself are key direct predictors of continued use. User Satisfaction also mediates the effects of performance expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions on behavior. Although Effort Expectancy is not statistically significant at the 5% level, it exhibits the largest effect size on satisfaction, underscoring the structural importance of ease of use. Theoretically, the study validates an under‑explored affective pathway in mandatory settings; practically, it offers a roadmap for shifting from technology‑centric to citizen‑centric digital governance.
