Abstract

This community service program aims to develop the arts and crafts skills of elementary school-aged children in Pampang Village, Panakkukang District, Makassar City. The training program is designed to provide a creative learning experience based on a participatory, educational, and fun approach. A total of 34 children were actively involved in the three-day training, with materials including collage art, crafts based on recycled materials, and expressive drawing. The training method uses learning-by-doing techniques and daily reflection to encourage the development of children's fine motor skills, creativity, and social character. Evaluation results showed that 88% of children participated fully in the activities, and more than 91% expressed enthusiasm. Pre-test and post-test scores also showed an increase in art understanding from an average of 56 to 87. In addition, facilitators noted an increase in the children's self-confidence, initiative, cooperation, and social responsibility. The impact of this program is not only visible in the children's work, but also in changes in their attitudes and social interactions during the training. To ensure sustainability, the Pampang Children's Creative Class Community was established as a forum for continued development.

Abstract

Sampah menjadi momok utama di Pulau Parang, Karimunjawa. Kesadaran masyarakat yang minim akan memilah sampah yang dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan lingkingan dan kesehatan. Dibutuhkan media yang menarik untuk mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pentingnya memilah sampah. Program pengabdian masyarakat yang diadakan oleh Indonesia Youth Movement menjadi momentum untuk mengedukasi masyarakat akan pentingnya memilah sampah melalui pengaplikasian game edukasi sederhana yang menarik sebagai media pencerdasan. Tahapan pengadian diawali dengan need assessment yang dilakukan oleh Indonesia Youth Movement selaku penyedia program. Lalu, pencarian solusi atas permasalahan dan dilanjutkan pengembangan game edukasi yang dirancang mudah dipahami dan menyenangkan. Implementasi game edukasi memberi dampak positif kepada masyarakat. Khususnya, anak-anak dan remaja sangat antusias dengan konsep game edukasi untuk belajar pentingnya memilah sampah antara organik, anorganik, atau B3 dalam rangka menjaga alam dan ekosistem lingkungan.

Abstract

Sharing customer transaction data is becoming more perceived in e-commerce and retail industries. Even though the act derives benefits for companies, it may end up in certain privacy threats, such as sensitive personal preferences disclosure. Therefore, the data owner should take measures to minimize the threats. Data anonymization is one of the solutions that has been suggested to address the issue. However, there are still underlying problems, specifically in diminishing the amount of information loss and item loss, as well as maintaining data properties of the anonymized dataset. This paper proposes a unique data anonymization scheme called COMATS. It adopts the brood parasitism behavior of cuckoo birds in laying their eggs into host nests. The scheme incorporates item insertion technique and item suppression technique. The robustness of the proposed scheme lies in its strategy for selecting suppressed items and determining the inserted items. To ensure its efficacy, the proposed method is evaluated in several experiments. The experimental results suggest that the COMATS can guarantee privacy protection by reducing the probability of a successful attack. Additionally, it can also reduce the number of item losses and preserve better data utility in comparison to existing data anonymization schemes.

Abstract

Keputusan karyawan untuk mengundurkan diri dari perusahaan merupakan masalah penting yang dapat mempengaruhi kinerja dan keberlangsungan operasional perusahaan. Memahami faktor-faktor yang mendorong pengunduran diri karyawan sangat penting untuk merancang strategi retensi yang efektif, mengurangi tingkat turnover, dan meningkatkan kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan karyawan dalam mengundurkan diri dari perusahaan dengan menggunakan algoritma Random Forest, serta mengembangkan model prediksi yang dapat memberikan wawasan bagi perusahaan dalam meningkatkan strategi retensi karyawan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah algoritma Random Forest, yang diterapkan pada dataset publik yang diambil dari Kaggle. Proses evaluasi model dilakukan dengan menggunakan metrik akurasi, precision, recall, dan F1-score untuk mengukur kinerja model dalam memprediksi pengunduran diri karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma Random Forest berhasil mencapai akurasi prediksi sebesar 85%. Faktor utama yang mempengaruhi pengunduran diri karyawan adalah tahun bergabung, usia, dan kota tempat bekerja. Dampak penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu perusahaan dalam merancang strategi retensi karyawan yang lebih efektif dan berbasis data.

Abstract

Gender bias against women in the workplace persists, including within digital interactions on social media. This study analyzes user sentiment on Platform X regarding women in professional contexts using three machine learning algorithms: Naïve Bayes, Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Random Forest. A total of 2,336 tweets were collected using 14 gender-related keywords and labeled both automatically using the DistilBERT model and manually through contextual interpretation. The automatic dataset was imbalanced (1,823 negative, 479 positive), while the manual dataset was more balanced (1,196 negative, 1,106 positive). After preprocessing and TF-IDF feature extraction, the data were split using the train_test_split method. Evaluation metrics included accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Random Forest achieved the highest accuracy (79%) on automatic labels but showed class imbalance (F1-score: 0.88 for negative, 0.08 for positive). Meanwhile, models trained on manual labels showed more balanced performance with accuracy between 57% and 59%. A web application prototype was developed using Flask to predict sentiment related to workplace gender issues. The findings highlight the importance of balanced labeling and appropriate algorithm selection to build fair and reliable sentiment analysis models, contributing to more inclusive digital discourse on gender equality.

Abstract

This study investigates how the Maqashid al-Shariah framework, encompassing the protection of religion (Hifzu al-Din), life (Hifzu al-Nafs), intellect (Hifzu al-Aql), progeny (Hifzu al-Nasl), and property (Hifzu al-Mal), influences Indonesia's Human Development Index (HDI). This study utilises qualitative research methods and incorporates Eviews-12 software for data analysis, notably using panel data regression techniques with selected Common Effect Model (CEM). The research sample included eight provinces, namely: Papua, West Papua, East Nusa Tenggara, West Sulawesi, West Kalimantan, West Nusa Tenggara, North Maluku, and Gorontalo for the timeframe of 2019-2022. The analysis revealed that protecting religion (Hifzu al-Din) and protecting the mind (Hifzu al-Aql) significantly influence Indonesia's HDI. Interestingly, protecting life (Hifzu al-Nafs), offspring (Hifzu al-Nasl), and property (Hifzu al-Mal) did not show a statistically significant direct impact on HDI in this study. One limitation of the study is the reliance on data from only eight provinces, which may not be representative of the whole territory of Indonesia. The novelty of the research lies in its utilization of the maqashid sharia approach to analyze human development indicators in specific provinces of Indonesia, providing a unique perspective on the factors influencing development in Islamic contexts.

Abstract

Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) Plumbon merupakan satu dari sekian Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta (MIS) yang berada di wilayah Kabupaten Wonogiri, Jawa Tengah. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdi, terdapat permasalahan di MIM Plumbon di bidang pemasaran dan marketing, yaitu mengenai promosi dan penyebaran informasi terkait MIM Plumbon yang masih sangat terbatas. Solusi yang diberikan kepada MIM Plumbon adalah pengembangan website informasi sekolah yang bisa digunakan sebagai media untuk pemasaran dan marketing. Metode yang dilakukan dalam pemecahan solusi tersebut antara lain : analisis, perancangan aplikasi, implementasi aplikasi, pemaparan dan pelatihan ke mitra, serta simulasi aplikasi dan maintenance. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilakukan yaitu terbangunnya website informasi sekolah untuk MIM Plumbon. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan pada mitra untuk penggunaan website. Jumlah berita yang ada pada website juga meningkat menunjukkan mitra telah dapat menggunakan website dengan baik. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, permasalahan yang terjadi di bidang pemasaran marketing telah teratasi.

Abstract

This study analyzes the application of various approaches in the learning process at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in Indonesia, with a focus on improving the quality of Islamic education at the elementary level. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study collects, analyzes, and integrates the results of studies related to the application of effective teaching methods and their impact on the quality of student learning outcomes. The main findings of this study indicate that activity-based and real-life experience approaches, as well as the integration of technology in learning, can increase students' motivation and understanding of Islamic subject matter. The use of interactive learning media and e-learning provides space for students to learn flexibly and deeply, and helps teachers deliver material in a more interesting and easy-to-understand manner. In addition, this study also highlights the importance of the role of teachers in implementing effective methods. Teachers with good pedagogical competence can create a conducive learning environment, which has a positive impact on the quality of education. The involvement of parents and the community was also found to have a significant effect on the quality of education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, by supporting the development of students' character. However, despite these successes, this study found challenges related to limitations in facilities and infrastructure, especially in rural areas, which hinder the implementation of innovative methods. In conclusion, this study provides an overview that student-based approaches, teacher professional development, and parent and community involvement are essential to improve the quality of Islamic education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, although challenges such as limited distribution of resources and facilities remain major obstacles that need to be overcome.

Abstract

There is an increasing prevalence of Autism among Indonesian children. However, limited access, cost, and the lack of Indonesian-language screening tools present significant challenges for parents in the early detection of children with autism. A web-based digital system known as the "Sistem Skrining Anak Tangguh", has been developed in Indonesia. This system employs the M-CHAT-R/F (Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers, Revised with Follow-Up) method, which is a well-established tool for autism screening. The potential impact of this system is significant, as it could provide a comprehensive and efficient screening tool for autism in Indonesia. The system has been designed to offer all of its functions in Indonesian-language to increase accessibility and understanding among Indonesians. The system is accessible via web browser, enabling parents to conduct screening independently, at any time and from any location. However, a search for user documentation on the website has not yielded any results. The objective of this research project is to produce user documentation for the Sistem Skrining Anak Tangguh. The present user documentation is expected to engender a number of benefits. It is anticipated that an increase in the utilisation of the screening site will result in enhanced efficacy of its usage by users. This is expected to evolve into a comprehensive solution that will broaden the scope of early autism screening in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article explores the implementation of a perpetual inventory management system at 786 Vabe Store, aimed at improving operational efficiency and decision-making capabilities in the modern supply chain. The study begins by discussing the critical role of effective inventory management in today’s fast-paced business environment, emphasizing the benefits of real-time data tracking and increased accuracy in inventory records. The study used a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to assess the impact of the system on the inventory process. The methodology follows a structured Waterfall Model, encompassing the stages of system design, analysis, and testing. Key findings highlight the successful integration of user-friendly interfaces for data input and reporting, including modules for item entry, user management, supplier information, and sales transactions. Each interface is designed to facilitate seamless interaction, ensuring that staff can efficiently manage inventory and sales processes. Results show significant improvements in transaction processing efficiency and data management. The implemented system has comprehensive output capabilities, allowing users to generate a variety of reports, such as daily, monthly, and annual sales reports, as well as purchasing and inventory reports. These outputs provide valuable insights into sales performance and inventory levels, supporting informed decision making. In conclusion, this study shows that the implementation of a perpetual inventory management system not only streamlined operations at 786 Vabe Store but also improved overall performance, underscoring the importance of integrated inventory solutions in the modern retail environment.
