Abstract

According to the Tana Toraja Central Statistics Agency, the number of culinary SMEs in Tana Toraja Regency continues to grow, in line with increasing economic activity in the area. However, this growth has not been accompanied by optimal financial management by business actors. One of the main obstacles for SMEs is low financial literacy. The aim of this research is to find out how financial literacy influences income through the performance of culinary SMEs in Tana Toraja Regency. This research uses a quantitative method with a sample size of 96 obtained using a purposive sampling technique. Hypothesis testing was carried out by analyzing the path coefficient and the results obtained showed that financial literacy had an influence on income through performance. However, Tana Toraja Regency Culinary UKM have not been able to optimally apply the knowledge they have gained through financial literacy, so suggestions are given to the district government and related parties to hold outreach and education regarding financial literacy and financial management for UKM players.Keyword: financial literacy, UKM, Income, performance

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and lifestyle on the consumptive behavior of students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Paulus Indonesian Christian University, Makassar. The research method used is quantitative, namely systematic scientific research on relationships or influences obtained using statistical models, involving 88 respondents from the active student population. The technique used in this sampling is a simple random sampling technique. Data is collected through questionnaires that measure financial literacy, lifestyle and consumer behavior. The results of analysis using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) show that financial literacy has no significant effect on consumptive behavior, while lifestyle has a positive and significant effect. These findings indicate that even though students have good financial literacy, lifestyle factors that tend to be consumptive are more dominant in influencing their shopping behavior. It is hoped that this research will provide insight into better financial management among students and encourage the importance of financial literacy education.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Eco Design Strategy (EDS) and Green Value Creation (GVC) on Business Growth (BG) among Indonesian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), while examining the moderating role of Industry Type (IT). Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 195 SMEs across Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Makassar and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that both EDS and GVC significantly and positively impact business growth, highlighting the strategic importance of adopting sustainability practices. However, the moderating effect of industry type on the relationship between green strategies and business growth was found to be statistically insignificant. These findings provide empirical support for the integration of eco-innovation and green value generation as key drivers of competitive advantage, regardless of industry category. The study offers both theoretical implications for sustainability literature and practical insights for MSME managers seeking to enhance performance through environmental initiatives.

Abstract

Research aim : This study examines the moderating role of investor risk behavior in the relationship between financial literacy and investment decisions among millennials. Design/Methode/Approach : A quantitative approach was employed, collecting data from 96 millennial investors through a structured survey. Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was utilized to analyze both direct and indirect relationships among variables. Research Finding : The findings indicate that financial literacy does not significantly influence investment decisions. However, financial literacy has a positive and significant impact on investor risk behavior, which, in turn, significantly influences investment decisions. Furthermore, investor risk behavior moderates the relationship between financial literacy and investment decisions in a positive and significant manner. Theoretical contribution/Originality : These results highlight the critical role of risk behavior as both a mediating and moderating mechanism in leveraging financial literacy for improved investment decision-making. Practitioner/Policy implication : The study's practical implications suggest that financial literacy programs should not only focus on enhancing knowledge but also on fostering risk management skills to support informed investment choices. Research limitation : This study is limited by its relatively small sample size and geographic focus on Makassar City, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings to broader populations. Additionally, the cross-sectional design captures only a snapshot of behavior, making it difficult to infer long-term patterns or causal relationships.
