Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth how the integration between the concepts of circular economy and Islamic economics can form a sustainable fashion business model, as well as make a real contribution to environmental preservation, social justice, and spiritual well-being. The background of this study is the environmental impact of the fast fashion industry and the need for responsible production-consumption patterns. Using a qualitative approach through a literature study of more than 60 references, the findings show the alignment between the 5R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repair, Recovery) in the circular economy with Islamic values such as justice, balance, and social welfare, which are in line with maqashid al-syariah. The research also highlights the role of technology in accelerating the transformation of the sustainable fashion industry as well as Indonesia's great potential to integrate Islamic values with circular practices, supported by a large Muslim population, growing awareness of sustainability, and policy support. However, challenges such as the lack of recycling infrastructure, low consumer literacy, and the absence of sharia standards for sustainability remain obstacles. This study contributes a holistic conceptual perspective by incorporating ecological and spiritual dimensions in the development of sustainable Islamic fashion businesses.

Abstract

The increasing interest of Indonesian people in stock investment, especially sharia stocks, drives the need for careful analysis in accordance with Islamic principles. On the other hand, the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology offers great potential in capital market analysis, but the lack of in-depth research raises questions about its suitability with sharia principles. This study uses a qualitative descriptive methodology with a literature review approach, collecting data from various secondary sources such as journal articles, books, and relevant online publications. This study aims to: (1) examine stock analysis from an Islamic economic perspective, (2) analyze the role of AI as a stock analysis tool, and (3) explore the Islamic economic perspective on AI-based stock analysis. The results indicate that AI has the potential to improve the efficiency and accuracy of Islamic stock analysis. However, investors must carefully identify and understand the characteristics of the AI used to prevent the practices of gharar (uncertainty) and maysir (excessive speculation). This study is important in a multidisciplinary context because it bridges the latest technological developments with the principles of Islamic economics, providing ethical and practical guidance for Muslim investors in the digital era.

Abstract

Gig economy, often promoted as a flexible labor solution, has led to structural issues including worker vulnerability, unequal relationships, and a diminished sense of work. This research analyzes the relevance of al-Imām al-Syaibānī concept of work through the Al-Kasb framework as a normative critique of gig economy practices and an ethical foundation for the digital economy. A normative-historical literature review method addresses the gap between gig economy's conceptual suitability with Islamic values and persistent empirical problems. Analysis includes critical reading of the Book of Al-Kasb, review of contemporary gig economy literature, and thematic analysis mapping conceptual correspondences. Results reveal three main points of convergence: the link between self-resilience and farḍu ‘ayn, consistency of workforce diversity with farḍu kifāyah, and conceptual alignment between platform symbiosis and mu'āwanah principle. However, the core issue lies in the failure to internalize Al-Kasb's spiritual-ethical dimensions within platform work practices. Theoretical contributions expand Al-Kasb as a framework for evaluating digital work. Practically, findings suggest strengthening gig workers' spirituality, enhancing platform social responsibility, and formulating justice-oriented protection policies. This research is limited by the absence of empirical testing on Muslim gig workers' subjective experiences.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze, study, and find out the obstacles to various empowerment programs for zakat management organizations in empowering communities in East Kotawaringin and West Kotawaringin Regencies, Central Kalimantan Province. This type of research is field research with the research subjects being BAZNAS Kotawaringin Timur, LAZ Nurul Fikri Sampit Branch, BAZNAS Kotawaringin Barat and LAZNAS Yakesma Pangkalan Bun Branch. Data in this study were collected by interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out deductively to obtain an overview of events in the field and then conclusions related to the research were obtained. The results of this study indicate that the empowerment program for zakat collection organizations in Kotawaringin Timur and Kotawaringin Barat districts in empowering communities through zakat needs to pay attention to the form and mechanism of the program, mustahik's response, and continuous assistance, developing long-term productive businesses, providing productive business training, and opening job opportunities for mustahik through cooperation with the government and the private sector. Obstacles faced by these institutions include a lack of human resources, good faith from recipients of funds, and community literacy. Therefore, efforts are needed to change the mindset and increase community literacy as well as establish cooperation with related agencies to increase the effectiveness of the empowerment program.
