Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) merupakan salah satu kecakapan penting abad 21 yang harus dimiliki siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan instrumen penilaian berbasis HOTS untuk siswa kelas VII SMP pada materi kalor dan perpindahannya. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam educational design research menggunakan model dari Plomp. Melibatkan 3 tahapan yaitu tahap preliminary research, prototyping stage, dan assessment phase. Proses validasi produk dilakukan oleh ahli, teman sejawat, guru dan siswa. Prosedur pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, lembar observasi, wawancara, dan uji coba secara terbatas di sekolah. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan mengkonversi data kualitatif dan kuantitatif ke dalam bentuk deskriptif berdasarkan penilaian ideal, validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda soal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa kriteria penilaian ideal produk masuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Skor rata-rata dari dosen ahli yaitu 91,875%, teman sejawat 92%, guru 92%, siswa 85%. Sedangkan validitas instrumen sebesar 0,89, reliabilitas instrumen 0,69, tingkat kesukaran 0,40, dan daya pembeda soal 0,33 Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) are essential skills for students in the 21st century. This study aims to develop a HOTS-based assessment on heat (caloric) and heat transfer in the 7th grade of juniors high school. This study was included in educational design research using Plomps' model. It used three stages: the preliminary research stage, the prototyping stage, and the assessment phase—the HOTS-based assessment product validated by experts, peers, teachers, and students. Data collection procedures used questionnaires, observation sheets, interviews, and limited trials at school. The data analysis technique uses qualitative and quantitative data to convert into descriptive form based on the ideal assessment, validity, reliability, difficulty index, and discriminant index. Based on the analysis, the ideal assessment criteria for the product were in the very good category. The experts' average score was 91.875%, peers 92%, teachers 92%, and students 85%. Furthermore, the instrument validity score was 0.89, the instrument reliability was 0.69, the difficulty index was 0.40, and the discriminant index was 0.33.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the difficulty of learning mathematics in class XI students of SMA N 1 Rowokele on the SPLDV material using an online learning system, (2) the factors that affect the difficulty of learning mathematics in class XI students of SMA N 1 Rowokele on the SPLDV material using the system. online learning. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The primary data sources in this study were students of class XI SMA N 1 Rowokele. The secondary data sources are test results and interview results. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. The research instruments are test question sheets, interview sheets, and social media (Whatsapp). In this study, researchers used the validity of the credibility test using triangulation. The data analysis technique used in this study uses the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that, (1) the subject has difficulty in understanding the SPLDV material mainly because of online learning. The subject matter is in the method of completion, namely the preparation of mathematical models and calculations. (2) The factors that influence student learning difficulties are due to the environmental conditions in which the subject is located and generally what is often experienced is the difficulty of finding a smooth internet network, thus preventing the subject from accessing information from other sources. The advice given from the school is that researchers should be able to control the class more and also prepare research instruments and the coordination of learning hours should be clearer.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic in various countries has had an impact on changes in the education system. The implementation of learning has changed from classroom to online learning. The implementation of online learning certainly affects the learning interest of students. This study was conducted to determine student interest in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The subjects in this study were students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at a private university in Yogyakarta as many as 72 students who were selected using the simple random sampling method. The data in this study were collected through Google Form questionnaire. The questionnaire contains 15 items of multiple choice and each item contains “why” question to obtain in-depth data about the answers given by respondents. The data of questionnaire analyzed descriptive qualitatively. The results indicated that students' interest in online learning needed to be insreased. It can be seen from students’ responses to the questionnaire that only 15.3% of students gave a positive response to online learning and 32% to online exams. In general, students prefer classroom learning compared to online learning in terms of student attendance, interaction of lecturer-students, and technical in learning. Online learning tends to reduce student interest in attending lectures. Limitations of internet access, lecturer delivery methods and the amount of workloads are factors causing the decline in student interest. By knowing students' interest in learning and the factors that cause low students’ interest in learning, lecturers can improve the quality of learning to increase student interest in online learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas e-LKPD berbasis etnomatematika terhadap hasil belajar matematika yang ditinjau dari kemampuan awal siswa, serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi antara jenis e-LKPD dan tingkat kemampuan awal siswa terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian eksperimen semu. Subjek uji coba penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Sukodono 1 dan SDN Sukodono 2 Kecamatan Donorojo, Kabupaten Pacitan dengan masing-masing kelas diambil sampel secara acak sebanyak 15 siswa. Adapun objek penelitian ini adalah kemampuan awal dan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes dan teknik dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan anava dua faktor, dimana faktor pertama adalah jenis e-LKPD dan faktor kedua adalah tingkat kemampuan awal siswa. Hasil analisis anava dua faktor pada taraf signifikansi 5% menunjukkan bahwa: 1) e-LKPD berbasis etnomatematika lebih efektif daripada e-LKPD konvensional. (2) Hasil belajar siswa dengan tingkat kemampuan awal tinggi lebih baik daripada siswa yang memiliki kemampuan awal sedang dan rendah, dan (3) tidak ada interaksi antara jenis e-LKPD dan tingkat kemampuan awal siswa berdasarkan hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is the integration of cultural elements into mathematics learning. To foster a sense of love and preserve the cultural heritage of the past, the mathematical elements contained in the culture of the community need to be studied further. This study aims to identify and describe the application of ethnomathematical integer arithmetic operations through cassava puppet media in activating student learning activities and preserving traditional games. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this study were 10 students of class VI group B SD Rejosari Tanjungsari. The method of data collection in this research is the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are: the use of cassava puppet media in the addition and subtraction of integers goes according to expectations, namely student activities in learning show positive results. It also preserves traditional games by introducing wayang cassava as an entertainment medium as well as a learning medium.Keywords: arithmetic operations, integers, media, cassava puppets

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemandirian belajar peserta didik dan mengetahui faktor penyebab kemandirian belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika selama pembelajaran jarak jauh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 3 orang siswa. Kriteria yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik yang memiliki kategori tingkat kemandirian belajar tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan wawancara untuk mengukur tingkat kemandirian belajar peserta didik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Kemandirian belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika yang dilihat berdasarkan enam indikator kemandirian belajar dibagi dalam tiga kategori yaitu tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Peserta didik kategori kemandirian belajar tinggi berjumlah 4 orang, peserta didik kategori kemandirian belajar sedang berjumlah 5 orang, dan peserta didik kategori kemandirian belajar rendah berjumlah 2 orang. Dari tiga kategori tersebut secara umum peserta didik kelas VIII SMP di Yogyakarta hanya memenuhi sebagian indikator kemandirian belajar yang diukur dalam penelitian ini. 2) Faktor yang mempengaruhi kemandirian belajar peserta didik yaitu faktor internal berupa motivasi, disiplin, minat, serta faktor eksternal yaitu faktor lingkungan sekolah dan keluarga. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemandirian belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika selama pembelajaran jarak jauh di SMP di Yogyakarta masih perlu untuk ditingkatkan baik dari dalam diri peserta didik maupun dari luar diri agar peserta didik memiliki prestasi belajar matematika yang baik selama pembelajaran jarak jauh.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan hal yang cukup penting di era 4.0. Namun akibat pembelajaran daring, banyak siswa yang tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritisnya tergolong rendah. Berdasarkan hasil observasi tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM), guru-guru yang tergabung pada MGMP Matematika SMA & SMK kabupaten Purworejo belum menerapkan model pembelajaran yang dapat menstimulasi berpikir kritis. Dari permasalahan tersebut, tim PKM melakukan kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk mensosialisasi dan mendiseminasikan implementasi model pembelajaran matematika untuk menstimulasi berpikir kritis pada MGMP Matematika SMA & SMK kabupaten Purworejo. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Fave Hotel Yogyakarta dan terhubung secara online melalui Google Meet bagi sebagian guru yang mengikuti kegiatan secara daring. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh 10 orang guru secara luring dan 10 orang guru secara daring. Hasil evaluasi pada akhir kegiatan PKM menunjukkan: (1) adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru dalam menyusun RPP, LKPD, modul pembelajaran dan instrumen evaluasi; (2) ketercapaian implementasi model pembelajaran yang dapat menstimulasi kemampuan berpikir kritis dan (3) rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA & SMK Kabupaten Purworejo sebesar 7,7%.

Abstract

Learning mathematics is sometimes monotonous and boring. For this reason, teachers are required to be able to create interesting and not boring learning media that can increase students' interest in learning mathematics. One of the learning media that can attract students' interest is making a video for learning mathematics to calculate distance units that are integrated with the local culture of the Kesepuhan Cirebon palace. With this learning video, it is hoped that students will be interested in participating in mathematics learning and getting to know the local culture, so that student learning achievements can increase. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected using interview techniques, offline learning observations, and school documentation, data analysis was carried out using interactive analytical techniques consisting of three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. From the results of the study, it was found that the innovation of learning media videos to calculate distance units that were integrated with the local culture of the Kesepuhan Cirebon palace was able to increase student interest in learning and student achievement, this can be seen from the ability of students to convert distance units from places in the Kesepuhan palace, Cirebon.

Abstract

This study aims to produce online learning games on linear program subjects for 3rd-semester students that are valid, practical, efective and can increase student learning motivation. Students are less interested in linear program subject because it requires high analysis skill and feel boring. This research and development model consisting of the stages of define (literature study and field survey), design (early product design activities), develop (expert validation, product revisions, and development testing), and disseminate (final product revision) with descriptive analysis techniques qualitatively and quantitatively. Qualitative descriptive analysis techniques are used to describe the stages of development that describe the results of observations of the implementation and effectiveness of online learning games that have been developed in the field. Quantitative descriptive analysis techniques are used at the development stages. This study has achieved the expected goal: producing online learning games for linear program subjects that are valid (very good category), practical (very good category), and effective (85.71% of students had achieve a minimum score of C).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the ethnomathematics of batik activity in the Batik Tancep Gunungkidul artwork as contextual mathematics learning. This research is a type of qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The data was obtained in the form of qualitative data, research data sources obtained through observation, interviews, documentation. The instrument in this study was the researcher himself. Data collection is done by participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data is done by triangulation of data collection techniques and then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. Data analysis is reduced based on Bishop's mathematical fundamental activities. The results of data analysis are then explored in mathematical aspects. The results of the study found mathematical aspects of the area of flat wake area, congruence and congruence of flat wake, comparison, translation, multiplication of count numbers, and volume of curved side space. The results of the study show that the batik activity in the Batik Tancep Gunungkidul artwork is one of the real events that can be raised into contextual mathematics learning.
