Abstract

4A zeolite complex derived from coal has been successfully synthesized through the preparation of fractionated samples, analyzed using atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS), resulting in a chemical composition of silica (SiO2) 24.78% and aluminum oxide (Al2O3) 29.60%. The fly ash produced from this fractionation is used as the base material for the synthesis of 4A zeolite. The fly ash is reacted with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) at room temperature, yielding a gel that is subsequently crystallized into 4A zeolite through a reflux process. The resulting zeolite crystals are then supplemented with Al2O3 and disodium dihydrogen ethylenediaminetetraacetate (Na2EDTA) as sources of aluminum to achieve a molar ratio of Si/Al = 1.42. Optimal quality 4A zeolite crystals were obtained from the synthesis of 5.9351 g of medium fraction fly ash, along with 1 g Al2O3, 4 g NaOH, and 0.569 g Na2EDTA. Infrared (IR) characterization results indicate that the optimal 4A zeolite from medium fraction fly ash is characterized by crystals with the addition of 1.5 g of Al2O3. Wide absorption bandwidths are typically caused by large spectral line widths, which can occur if a significant amount of energy is absorbed by various vibrational modes, assuming that excess Al2O3 leads to the formation of functional groups that contribute to the same band. A peak at a wavelength of 564 cm-1 indicates double ring stretching vibrations, while a peak at 661 cm-1 indicates symmetric stretching vibrations of the zeolite framework. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan data empiris mengenai produksi perikanan laut di Kota Gunungsitoli sepanjang periode 2019-2023. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran yang jelas tentang tren produksi perikanan di Kota Gunungsitoli selama lima tahun terakhir. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April hingga Juli 2024 di Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Universitas Nias. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang diakses secara online dari situs web Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Gunungsitoli. Metode deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini yang didasarkan pada kajian literatur dan analisis data sekunder. Data yang dianalisis mencakup volume produksi perikanan tangkap serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Proses pengumpulan dan analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan software Microsoft Excel, dan didukung oleh kajian literatur dari artikel ilmiah terkait. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya variasi dalam volume produksi perikanan tangkap di Kota Gunungsitoli selama periode penelitian. Faktor-faktor seperti kondisi ekologis perairan, teknologi penangkapan ikan, dan aspek sosial-ekonomi nelayan berperan penting dalam mempengaruhi hasil tangkapan. Puncak produksi sebesar 7.068 ton pada tahun 2023. Kecamatan Gunungsitoli sebagai kontributor produksi terbesar. Terdapat empat rekomendasi kebijakan dalam meningkatkan pengelolaan sumber daya perikanan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat nelayan di Kota Gunungsitoli, yaitu pengembangan infrastruktur perikanan, penelitian dan pengembangan, diversifikasi lokasi penangkapan ikan, serta pelatihan dan edukasi.

Abstract

The high cost of feed is a major challenge in sustainable fish farming. This study aims to examine the optimization of Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae or maggots as an alternative feed to improve the growth efficiency of environmentally friendly farmed fish. The study employs a quantitative approach through growth tests on catfish (Clarias gariepinus) fed a maggot-based feed formulation produced using various organic waste media. Results indicate that substituting fish meal with maggot meal up to 50% yields significant improvements in daily growth rate and feed conversion efficiency. Maggot culture was also proven to optimally utilize domestic and market organic waste, thereby contributing dual benefits to environmental management. This research underscores the importance of developing local alternative feed for sustainable aquaculture while supporting community-based circular economy initiatives.

Abstract

Mangrove forests are ecosystems that have ecological and economic functions. The ecological functions of mangrove forests include protecting coastlines, preventing sea water intrusion, habitat, feeding ground, nursery ground, spawning ground for aquatic biota and as a climate regulator. micro. This research aims to determine the structure of the mangrove community and mangrove density. This research was conducted in Teluk Belukar Village, North Gunungsitoli District, North Gunungsitoli City, North Sumatra in August 2023. Research activities were carried out by creating a plot measuring 10x10 m2. Each plot contains the size categories of tree (10x10 m2), sapling (5x5 m2) and seedling (1x1 m2). There are 24 types of mangroves found at the research location. The highest value of mangrove species density (Di) obtained at the research location was at the seedling level of 160,000 ind/ha.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate student satisfaction with student services at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Nias University. Involving 282 respondents consisting of 152 males and 130 females, this study used a Likert scale-based questionnaire to collect data. Validity and reliability tests showed all indicators were valid and reliable with a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.916. Satisfaction analysis was conducted through the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) methods, which resulted in a CSI value of 53%, indicating a good level of satisfaction although there are some aspects that need improvement. This study also identifies factors that affect student satisfaction, such as adequacy, accessibility, and quality of facilities & infrastructure, with data analysis using multiple linear regression. The results of the study are expected to provide recommendations for improving student affairs services in the future, ensuring that services remain optimal for students.

Abstract

Feed is an important factor in cultivating catfish (Clarias sp.), which affects the survival and growth of fry. Catfish growth is greatly influenced by feed quality, including nutrition, digestibility and feed utilization. Fermented feed is one of the innovations developed to improve feed quality. Fermented feed has become an attractive alternative to improve feed quality and growth efficiency. This article aims to explore the effect of fermented feed on the survival and growth of catfish fry by reviewing various previous studies. The method used is a literature review by collecting research results from various published scientific articles. The research results show that the use of fermented feed in catfish cultivation can increase growth, digestibility and feed efficiency. Further research is needed to explore optimal dosage and composition.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of probiotics in supporting the sustainability of fish farming systems. The study was conducted using a literature analysis method from various scientific sources, including journals, academic books, and other scientific works. Probiotics are proven to have significant benefits in increasing feed efficiency, improving water quality, and increasing fish resistance to disease. The study results show that probiotics can reduce ammonia levels by 40%, increase feed conversion efficiency (FCR) by 25%, and increase fish survival rates by 90%. In addition, the use of probiotics can reduce dependence on antibiotics and chemicals, making it more environmentally friendly. The conclusion of this study is that probiotics are an effective solution to improve production efficiency while maintaining environmental sustainability in fish farming. However, further research is needed to optimize the type and application of probiotics that suit various aquaculture systems.

Abstract

Di era globalisasi saat ini, perkembangan bisnis khususnya di bidang ritel sangatlah pesat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh dimensi kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan dan dampaknya terhadap loyalitas pelanggan pada Hypermart Pejaten Village. Selain itu penelitian ini juga dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui variabel kualitas pelayanan manakah yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan konsumen. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis SEM (Structural Equation Model). Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa kelima faktor yaitu keandalan, jaminan dan empati berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan Hypermarket di Pejaten sedangkan variabel Daya Tanggap dan Tangible tidak berpengaruh signifikan dan berpengaruh langsung. berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pelanggan dan tidak signifikan serta berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas pelanggan melalui kepuasan pelanggan, dan pengaruh yang dominan adalah kepuasan pelanggan.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan populasi dunia dan kebutuhan pangan yang semakin meningkat merupakan tantangan global kompleks. Untuk mengatasinya, inovasi teknologi akuakultur berkelanjutan, seperti sistem akuaponik, telah menjadi fokus utama dalam upaya memenuhi kebutuhan pangan yang meningkat. Sistem akuaponik mengintegrasikan budidaya ikan dengan pertumbuhan tanaman secara terintegrasi, menciptakan siklus alami di mana ikan menghasilkan limbah yang diperlukan sebagai sumber nutrisi bagi tanaman, sementara tanaman membersihkan air untuk ikan. Dalam jurnal ini, kami membahas pemanfaatan sistem akuaponik untuk meningkatkan produksi ikan dan tanaman secara berkelanjutan. Sistem akuaponik menawarkan berbagai manfaat, antara lain efisiensi penggunaan air yang tinggi, pengurangan limbah, dan peningkatan produktivitas. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui tinjauan pustaka terhadap artikel ilmiah, jurnal, dan publikasi terkait inovasi teknologi akuakultur berkelanjutan dan pemanfaatan sistem akuaponik. Data dan informasi yang diperoleh dianalisis dan disajikan untuk mendukung tujuan penelitian ini. Dalam hasil dan pembahasan, kami menjelaskan prinsip dasar dan manfaat akuaponik, serta faktorfaktor yang mempengaruhi produksi ikan dalam sistem akuaponik, seperti ketersediaan nutrisi, kualitas air, suhu lingkungan, kepadatan ikan, dan manajemen pakan. Abstract

ABSTRACT Ikan gabus (Channa striata) banyak ditemui di perairan Indonesia. Keuntungan ikan ini adalah bisa dimanfaatkan dalam pengobatan tradisional karena kandungan protein, lemak, mineral, dan vitamin yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan. Review ini bertujuan untuk menilai efek penggunaan pakan alami berupa larva lalat pada pertumbuhan ikan gabus (C. striata). Informasi diperoleh melalui tinjauan Pustaka yang dianalisis dalam rangka mempersiapkan penelitian mengenai dampak pemberian pakan pada pertumbuhan ikan Gabus (C. striata). Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa perbedaan kandungan protein pada pakan alami maggot mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ikan gabus. Sebagai hasilnya, pertumbuhan ikan gabus meningkat ketika diberi pakan maggot dalam jumlah yang lebih banyak. Kata kunci :. Pakan Maggot, Pakan buatan, Ikan Gabus (channa striata), Pertumbuhan. ABSTRACT In Indonesian waters, snakehead fish (C. striata) are often encountered. Because this fish includes healthy amounts of protein, fat, minerals, and vitamins, its advantages can be utilized in conventional therapy. The purpose of this review is to evaluate the impact of feeding snakehead fish (C. striata) natural food in the form of fly larvae. Data were gathered from observations in the literature and interpreted in light of preliminary studies on the effects of feeding on the growth of snakehead fish (C. striata). The findings of the study indicate that variations in the amount of protein present in natural maggot feed have an impact on the development of snakehead fish.
