Abstract

This study aimed to identify the students’ thinking process in solving problems while learning the heat material. Applying metacognitive strategies with group investigation methods. Metacognition is defined as an individual's ability to reflect, understand, and control their own thoughts and acts. Therefore, metacognition strategy is a guide to solve problems by considering several alternative solutions. The steps outlined in a journal students' thinking. The students thinking process were observed from of the students' answers in the journal students' thinking. In a the journal students' thinking raised the problem which need to be solved. The students were answering the problem by using basic ability with the results 53.85% of students answered incorrectly as well as the reason, and 46.15% of students answered correctly with specifications of 5.13% were answered with appropriate reasons, and 41.02% were answered with the varied and unsuitable reason. Furthermore, students were given alternative solutions such as Internet browsing and group discussions, so that 82.05% of students change the answers of the problems, especially changing the reasons and 17.95% remained the answer. After that the students were given another alternative solutions in the form of experiments, so the students considered the most appropriate answer from alternatives given. At the end, the students' answers are found 71.79% of students choose an alternative to the answer of the experiment, 17.95% of students responded with answers from the internet, and 10.25% students answer without mentioning the reason. This finding indicates the thinking process of students in solving problems. The use of this strategy makes students think to consider alternative solutions to get a proper solution of the problem. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena ditemukan kesulitan siswa ketika melakukan percobaan bandul sederhana untuk menentukan nilai percepatan gravitasi. Kesulitan – kesulitan tersebut diantaranya. Pertama, gerakan bandul yang terjadi tidak harmonis, ini bisa dikarekan ikatan bandul yang tidak baik, tali yang kurang panjang, pelepasan bandul yang tidak presisi. Kedua, hasil perhitungan nilai gravitasi jauh dari tetapan yang ada, ini dikarekan gerakan bandul yang tidak harmonis. Ketiga, Tidak tepatnya (tidak berbarengan) waktu hitung dengan waktu distop watch (selisih beberapa saat). Diduga kuat, lembar kerja yang ada kurang memfasilitasi siswa untuk melakukan percobaan dengan benar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki lembar kerja percobaan dan meredesain alat percobaan, sehingga siswa akan lebih mudah memahami cara melakukan percobaan dengan benar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitik. Kemampuan siswa bereksperimen diperoleh dengan cara membandingkan jawaban lembar kerja siswa sebelum direkonstruksi dan jawaban siswa setelah direkonstruksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lembar kerja yang telah direkonstruksi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam bereksperimen Kata-kata kunci: Redesain Alat Peraga dan Lembar Kerja Percobaan, kemampuan bereksperimen Abstract This study was motivated because it found students' difficulties when performing a simple pendulum experiment to determine the gravity acceleration. The difficulties are. First, the pendulum motion is not harmonious, it’s because the bond of the pendulum is not good, the rope is less long, release of the pendulum that is not precision. Second, the result of calculating of gravity acceleration is far away from the existing constellation, it’s because the movement of the pendulum that is not harmonious. Third, Not exactly (not simultaneously) the time to count with the time on the stopwatch (the difference a few moments). Existing worksheets do not facilitate students to experiment properly. This study aims to improve the experimental worksheet and redesign the experimental tool, so students will more easily understand how to experiment properly. This research is an analytical descriptive research. Students' experimental abilities were obtained by comparing the answers of student worksheets before reconstruction and student answers after reconstruction. Abstract

This research is motivated by the achievement of student learning outcomes Physics 1 were not as expected. Further analysis of the results of student answers, found one of the concepts are still low achievement of learning outcomes is the projectile motion. Projectile Motion is part of the topic of the two-dimensional motion. The purpose of this study is to investigate and uncover the difficulties experienced by students on the concept of a projectile motion in order to plan appropriate learning program. The method used is descriptive analysis with a sample of 42 students who take the Basic Physics Course I on LPTK in West Java. Collecting data form of essai test. Based on the test results, it is known that students have difficulty following. First, drawing the vector component in the direction x (horizontal) and y (vertical). Second, distinguish the velocity vector, the vector component of velocity, the velocity vector component in the x and y directions. Third, focus on memorizing formulas bullet time taken for half a parabolic trajectory, maximum of height, maximum of distance. Fourth, always assumed final velocity moving object parabola when it hits the ground is always zero. Fifth, the velocity to zero at the top (when only the speed in the vertical direction is zero). Sixth, the acceleration is owned by the object in the x and y directions. Seventh, found some students use the law of sines cosines triangle on the determination of the distance / high and reverse (ideally the determination of the distance / high based on the velocity information). Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the gravitational field of the Earth's surface anomaly (g) due to the partial solar eclipse. Large gravity field of Earth's surface can be obtained using a pendulum swing period. Data were collected for three days on 8, 9, and 10 March, 2016 from at 6:00 to 9:00 pm in Bandung with coordinates 6°51'48 " LS, 107°35'40" BT. The tools used in this research was Kater's reversible pendulum with a deviation of less than 3° so that the motion can be regarded swing harmonics. Pendulum swinging motion is recorded using high resolution cameras (High definition) with a shooting speed 24 of frames per second (fps), the video is analyzed using the tracker in order to obtain the period of a pendulum swing. The results show the value of the gravitational field of the Earth's surface on a three-day consecutive sampling of 10,33153834, 10,18560435, and 10,32046468. According to the research there are anomalies in the gravitational field of the Earth's surface (g) due to the partial solar eclipse with the value of the gravitational field which decreases the time of the eclipse. Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of partial solar eclipse (GMS) to the acceleration due to gravity (g) the perceived objects on the Earth's surface. Data is collected in Bandung with the coordinates of 6°51'48 "S, 107°35'40" E for three days on 8, 9 and March 10 2016 with a span of 07.00 to 08.00 am. Earth's surface gravitational acceleration (g) is determined from the period of a pendulum swing that moves harmonics. The instrument used is the mathematical pendulum are optimized by material type nylon rope to prevent the rotational motion of the pendulum, the use of mirrors board to identify and eliminate Conic motion of pendulum and analysis tracker for the determination of the period of a pendulum precisely. Data were collected by recording the pendulum swing using high-resolution cameras with a shooting speed of 24 frames per second (fps), the video is analyzed using application tracker in order to obtain the period of a pendulum swing. The results showed a mean value of the Earth's surface gravitational acceleration (g) of the third day in a row is 9.81524 m s2, 9.808285 m/s2 ,and 9.813122 m/s2. Based on the results of this study concluded that the Earth's surface gravitational acceleration (g) is influenced by partial solar eclipse. Keywords: Eclipse, Tracker, Mathematical Pendulum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menyelidiki tentang profil muatan listrik selama gerhana matahari total 9 Maret 2016 . Pengambilan data dilakukan di pantai terentang pulau bangka. Data variasi muatan diukur dengan menggunakan alat ukur yang dimiliki Pudak Scientific yaitu Charge sensor (0361i) (CMA) (-97..97 nC) order Code : CRG-BTA yang dihubungkan dengan ineterface Euro Lab (ϵ lab). Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan terdapat penambahan jumlah muatan negatif seiring bertambahnya waktu dari jam 06.00-09.00 WIB. Selama terjadi gerhana matahari total mulai kontak 1 sampai kontak 4 (berdasarkan hasil pengukuran alat ukur) ditemukan bahwa ada pengurangan laju pertambahan muatan negatif. Di duga kuat faktor suhu dan intensitas cahaya matahari mempengaruhi jumlah mutan elektron yang terukur. KataKunci: Muatan Listrik, Gerhana matahari total.

Abstract

This research‟s purposes are to describe the implementation of Contextual learning in heat conduction concept. Based on class teacher, several student still confuse to describe the heat conduction procces if the learning heat conduction just given to the student, not given the real world phenomen ini the class. Ini research, the implementation of lesson study following steps, plan, doo and see. Teacher‟s and college discus to prepare the all matter for implementation of lesson study : contextual learning. The results of this study show that: a) the level of implementation of lesson study steps in The Teaching Practise in SDPN Setiabudi is very suitable to the monitoring stan-dard, level Plan, Do, and Se; b) The lesson study implementation can improve the activities of student in learning, so the student can improve the konowlegde and skill Keyword: Lesson Study, kontextual Learning, heat conduction.

Abstract

Hasil studi pendahuluan menemukan proses pembelajaran fisika pada populasi penelitian didominasi dengan metode ceramah. Dalam metode ini pembelajaran berlangsung satu arah dan lebih menekankan penyampaian materi pembelajaran, akibatnya kompetensi yang dimiliki siswa kurang terlatih, salah satunya kompotensi berpikir rasional. Model pembelajaran discovery-inquiry yang lebih menekankan pencarian pengetahuan secara aktif dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif untuk melatihkan dan meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir rasional (KBR) siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan efektifitas model pembelajaran discovery-inquiry terhadap keterampilan berpikir rasional siswa serta tanggapan siswa terhadap proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group time series design dengan sampel penelitian satu kelas siswa-siswi di salah satu SMA Negeri kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model pembelajaran discovery-inquiry cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir rasional siswa dengan rata-rata nilai gain normal (N-gain) 0,57, dan analisis angket menunjukkan 97% siswa menyenangi pembelajaran discovery-inquiry. Siswa termotivasi untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Kata kunci : pembelajaran discovery-inquiry, keterampilan berpikir rasional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan lembar kerja kreatif dan kritis ilmiah (LK3I) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif peserta didik pada model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project Based Learning) . Metode yang digunakan yaitu Quasi Experimental dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 60 siswa di salah satu SMA Negeri Kota Cimahi yang terbagi dalam dua kelompok. Kelompok eksperimen menggunakan lembar kerja kreatif dan kritis ilmiah (LK3I) dan kelompok kontrol menggunakan lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh adanya perbedaan peningkatan pada hasil pretest-posttest kedua kelas dengan rincian untuk n-gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,47 berkategori sedang dan kelas kontrol memiliki n-gain sebesar 0,24 berkategori rendah. Ditemukan juga dalam berbagai aspek kemampuan kognitif, kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol terutama dalam aspek kemampuan kognitif tingkat tinggi. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa selain dapat mengembangkan keterampilan berfikir kreatif dan kritis ilmiah, LK3I juga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dibandingkan dengan penggunaan LKPD konvensional.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menyelidiki apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan Scientific Creative and Critical Worksheet (SCCW) dengan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran ilmiah siswa pada materi alat-alat optik. 62 siswa kelas XI MIPA di Kota Cimahi ikut serta dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan Scientific Creative and Critical Worksheet (SCCW) untuk melatihkan kemampuan penalaran ilmiah pada kelas eksperimen dan LKS biasa pada kelas kontrol. Perbedaan peningkatan ini dianalisis berdasarkan pola jawaban siswa dalam mengisi SCCW (kelas eksperimen) dan mereka yang mengisi lks biasa(kelas kontrol), hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan peningkatan pada hasil pretest-posttest kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan Scientific Creative Critical Worksheet (SCCW) dan hasil pretest-posttest kelas kontrol yang menggunakan LKS biasa. Kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai N-Gain 0.41 (kategori sedang) dan kelas kontrol memiliki nilai N-Gain 0.34 (kategori sedang). Maka Scientific Creative Critical Worksheet efektif digunakan untuk melatihkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif ilmiah, kritis ilmiah dan kemampuan penalaran ilmiah siswa. The purpose of this research is to investigate whether there are some significant influence from application of Scientific Creative Critical Worksheet (SCCW) on project based learning for improving Scientific Reasoning Skill on optical instrument topic. The participant of this research were 62 students from eleventh grade science class in one of the private school in Cimahi. This research using Scientific Creative Critical Worksheet that contains problem to be solved to train Scientific Reasoning Skill for experimental class and ordinary worksheet for control class. The differences in this increase was analyzed based on the student answer on SCCW(experiment class) and ordinary worksheet(control class), the result of this research showed a significances between pretest-posttest experimental class that used Scientific Creative Critical Worksheet and control class that used ordinary worksheet. The experimental class has N-Gain value 0.41 which means it has high increase and the control class has N-Gain value 0.34 which means it has low increase. Therefore, Scientific Creative Critical Worksheet is effective to incraese Scientific Reasoning Skill.
