Abstract

Unequal and efficient distribution of crop yields is a challenge that is often faced in the corn farming industry. This can be detrimental to farmers because it results in a buildup of unsold corn crops in several areas. To overcome this challenge, a technology-based solution is needed so that it can reach customers easily by creating a website that aims to help equalize the distribution of corn harvests, with a more efficient system for managing corn supply and demand. By using an Agile approach in website development, It is hoped that it can produce a system that suits user needs in a short time. The design stage will be carried out using the Unified Modelling Language (UML) approach. In black box testing, it was proven that the use of websites to equalize agricultural products has been proven to be able to build a more efficient system for managing corn supply and demand. In addition, the services provided through the website can reduce product distribution costs and speed up the buying and selling process with customers.

Abstract

Abstract

The circulation of forged marriage books demonstrates the weakness of the marriage administration verification system, which has resulted in legal uncertainty and the loss of protection of the civil rights of married couples and children. This study aims to analyze the problematics of marriage document verification at the Office of Religious Affairs (Kantor Urusan Agama/KUA) of Tambaksari District, Surabaya, as well as its legal implications for the validity of marriage and the protection of citizens’ rights. This study employs qualitative research with normative juridical and empirical approaches. Data were obtained through participant observation during internship activities, semi-structured interviews with KUA employees, and documentation studies concerning marriage-administration archives. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings demonstrate that the implementation of document verification at KUA Tambaksari has not yet operated optimally due to the absence of standardized operational procedures, weak archival management, verification processes that continue to depend upon subjective visual examination, and the low level of coordination with law enforcement authorities. These conditions create uncertainty regarding the legal status of marriage and burden married couples with the obligation to pursue isbat nikah proceedings in order to obtain state recognition. This study recommends strengthening integrated digital-based verification policies, formulating SOPs for handling problematic documents, and improving interinstitutional coordination in order to ensure legal certainty and the protection of citizens’ civil rights.

Abstract

The phenomenon of gamophobia, or excessive fear of marriage, is increasingly observed among Muslim Generation Z due to family trauma, economic uncertainty, and exposure to negative narratives about marriage on social media. This situation creates tension between Islamic teachings that present marriage as a source of sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah and the perceptions of young Muslims who often associate marriage with risk and emotional burden. This study aims to explore how Muslim Generation Z perceive marriage, identify factors contributing to marriage anxiety, and examine how Qur’anic marriage values are understood and interpreted in relation to these concerns. Employing a qualitative approach within the Living Qur’an framework of Ahmad Rafiq, data were collected through in-depth interviews with ten participants in Surabaya, including students, young professionals, a family counselor, and a religious counselor. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that marriage anxiety is shaped by family conflict experiences, economic pressures, social media influence, and limited internalization of Qur’anic marriage values. Although most participants were familiar with concepts such as sakinah, mawaddah, rahmah, mutual support, and responsible partnership, these values were often understood at a cognitive level and had not always been translated into emotional confidence regarding marriage. The study identifies a gap between normative religious understanding and personal readiness for marital commitment. The findings suggest that strengthening reflective and contextual engagement with Qur’anic marriage values may contribute to helping Muslim youth develop more constructive perspectives on marriage. This study contributes to Living Qur’an scholarship by examining how Qur’anic teachings on marriage are interpreted within the context of contemporary marriage anxiety among Muslim Generation Z.

Abstract

The traditional distribution of zakat, which focuses on individual charitable aid to the eight categories of recipients (asnāf), is increasingly seen as less effective at addressing the multidimensional vulnerabilities of modern Muslim families. This socio-legal research underscores the necessity of repositioning zakat from a predominantly consumptive tool into a transformative mechanism for strengthening family resilience. Using Froma Walsh’s Family Resilience Theory as an analytical lens, this study examines the strategic redefinition of the eight asnāf. The research employs a socio-legal approach, combining normative legal analysis of fiqh texts with an examination of contemporary zakat policies and practices to develop an integrative analytical framework. The findings indicate that redefining the asnāf enables zakat distribution to move beyond consumptive assistance toward a more integrated and preventive approach that supports multiple dimensions of family resilience, including economic stability, relational cohesion, and value reinforcement. This study proposes a family-centered zakat distribution framework, in which zakat not only fulfills basic needs but also actively strengthens systemic resilience, in line with the maqāṣid al-sharÄ«”˜ah, particularly the protection of progeny (ḥifẓ al-nasl) and wealth (ḥifẓ al-māl).

Abstract

The transformation of Islamic family law in the contemporary era demands a repositioning of maqāṣid al-nikāḥ to be more responsive to the protection of gender rights. Indonesia and Iran represent two different models of legal codification in translating the principle of substantive justice into marriage regulations. This study aims to dissect the dynamics of gender rights protection regarding polygamy, divorce, custody, and inheritance in Indonesia and Iran through the lens of Jasser Auda’s System Theory. This study is a qualitative research with a comparative-juridical approach. The analysis is conducted by comparing the normative texts of the Indonesian Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) and the Iranian Civil Code (Qānūn-e Madanī), as well as functional data on their implementation in the courts. The results of the study indicate that Indonesia applies the “Judicial Formalism” model that prioritizes state intervention as a guarantor of women’s rights. In contrast, Iran applies the “Contractual Protection” model that relies on private autonomy in the marriage contract (‘aqd-nāmeh). Indonesia is more progressive in the flexibility of custody and joint property rights, while Iran is very strong in financial security through the mahrieh mechanism. This study concludes that the repositioning of maqāṣid al-nikāḥ from biological preservation to the protection of human dignity (karāmah al-insāniyyah) is highly dependent on the legal system’s openness to sociological realities and universal human rights standards.

Abstract

Marriage during the month of Molod (Rabiul Awal) is consistently avoided by the majority of the Kacongan community in Sumenep, Madura, despite the absence of explicit Islamic sharia prohibitions. This study examines how these taboos are formed as social realities, maintained as living law, and dialectically conflict with normative Islamic law. The research method used is qualitative with a sociological legal approach and field research, through observation, interviews, and documentation, supplemented by marriage statistics at the Religious Affairs Office (KUA) in Sumenep City District from 2023–2025. The findings indicate that the taboos are formed through historical-religious narratives, myths, and the Javanese-Madurese primbon knowledge system. Public perceptions are diverse; traditional leaders support them culturally and empirically, religious leaders reject them theologically and normatively, while the general public tends to comply pragmatically. KUA data confirms that the marriage rate in the month of Molod (Rabiul Awal) is consistently below 4% compared to the month of Dzulhijjah, which reaches more than 20% annually. Analyzed through the theory of the Social Construction of Reality by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann and the concept of Living Law by Eugen Ehrlich, these taboos constitute a socially constructed and binding legal reality outside the formal legal system. The dialectic between customary living law and Islamic law occurs in a real conflict. However, this conflict does not become an open conflict between communities, but rather a dynamic dialectic in which the two normative systems confront each other without either completely displacing the other.
